Roxi finished her conversation and had to leave immediately to get back to Matron Fu Hao’s place as the two of them would have much work ahead of them in the coming years. Then, Zi Ji Ge talked with Baron about her situation and the two decided that it was alright for her to stay at the HQ until she wanted to move out on her own, the precondition being that she would not be a nuisance to the others. Baron proceeded to make a few more blueprints and wait for the month of relaxation to end before he and the rest of the team would get together and train once more. The rest of the gang finished up their businesses and got back to train.

The five of them continued to go through simulation after simulation of aerial warfare. Among them, the Meng duo was still the best of them with Yue Fei, Guan Yu, and Baron fairly close to each other in terms of skill and capability. Quickly, another decade passed before news from Han Xin reached them. It read that they were able to get ahold of one of the most influential congressmen in the Australian community and it would be a matter of time before they were able to get William Bridges out of the Chinese community and thus make it easier for Baron and the others to win the aerial portion of the faction selection tournament.

Baron shared the news with the rest of the group and they were all in high spirits after hearing of the good news. This made them commit even harder to their insane training binge and reach excellence in this particular field of warfare. However, this piece of news also reached the Vesper faction and they gave a heads up to the elders responsible for Wang Yi, Eumenes and William Bridges.

These elders did not really care as they felt that even with William Bridges out of their forces that they would not take too much of a loss so they let it be. That was not the case for the Vesper faction as they were still feeling victorious from the naval tournament that they had won and decided to get into this matter even more than they had before. What the nasty great elder of the Vesper faction planned was to use his and his faction’s power to deal one strike to Baron that they would not be able to recover from. His target was the Meng duo.

The very first step to his plan was to immediately halt the businesses of the Men of Meng faction. This group was just starting to get more and more requests as they had done such a great job from the previous tournament. That all stopped once the Vesper faction reaffirmed that doing business with this group was not in anyone's best interest. Once again, the requests stopped coming in and the Men of Meng could not hold out this time and they were pressured so hard that they were essentially blacklisted from everything. Obviously, this was not a great sign for a faction and soon enough, they disbanded. All this time, Meng Wu did not tell his sons anything and instead thought he should hold the burden himself.

However, the Vesper faction was not quite done with them yet. In addition to making them disband, the Vesper faction made it so that the lives of the ex Men of Meng faction members were absolute hell. At this point, Meng Wu was no longer able to hold it in and informed Meng Tian and Meng Yi of this tragedy. The three of them decided it was time to finally confront the Vesper faction of all the events that had occurred.

A grudge filled conversation was had between Meng Wu, Meng Yi, Meng Tian, the great elder, and Gou Shi. Essentially, the Vesper faction would not let up until every one of the Meng faction was out of the Chinese community. This included the Meng duo. While Meng Yi and Meng Tian knew that this was exactly the plan was despicable, they decided to finally give up after the great elder heavily hinted upon what they had done to a few previous people who had gone against them who had met extremely grizzly obstacles in their way to continue on living a normal life. Baron, Guan Yu, and Yue Fei knew that this was not their decision to make so they could only watch on the sidelines as their allies were forced out of the Chinese community.

The last words that the Meng family said to Baron were for them to fight their hardest and give the bastards a good thrashing. Baron had planned on doing that from the start, but now what were they supposed to do? They were down to three men when they clearly needed 5. Coincidentally, this was around the time that Roxi was due back for another visit to Baron. Compared to last time, Roxi seemed to be making great strides in becoming an official R&D specialist. In the last couple of years, she had taken a few exams and now she was the rank of an intermediate R&D specialist. Just a few ranks under the senior position for which she would get to immediately if she chose to but would not be wise if she wanted to stay hidden.

Roxi appealed to matron Fu Hao about the situation that Baron and the rest of the Under 1 Banner group that she was a part of was in. Though she did not expect much, the matron used her connections to bring someone of the femme fatale faction to help Baron. If Roxi and this new person were able to synchronize together with Baron, Guan Yu, and Yue Fei, then they might still have a shot at defeating Wang Yi, Eumenes and William Bridges. The person that Fu Hao had sent them was no ordinary aerial strategist but was more than enough to be able to fill in the gap left behind by both Meng Yi and Meng Tian. That was how good she was, but still not enough to take on Wang Yi by herself.
