That was a large list of benefits. It was a fairly easy decision for me. Amara read it, and clapped her hands.
"See, I told you it was great" she said.
I looked back to Evan, and nodded. "We want to go".
"Great. If you would just follow me, I will open a portal and get you two accepted" he said.
He pulled a large crystal, about the size of a soccerball, out of his pocket. It didn't seem possible that it fit in there, but it apparently did. He held the crystal with both hands and closed his eyes.
A blue portal slowly formed, and he opened his eyes again.
"That is a portal that leads directly to the Initiation part of the academy. Please step through" he said, with the effort clear on his face.
We hurridly walked through, and then the portal winked out of existance
"He is probably going to recruit more members" said Amara.
She looked around, doing a full 360 degree turn.
"This is amazing" she gushed. "Look how tall those towers are".
The blue and white towers were truly amazing. They seemed to shine. The building itself was a pure white, but the areas around the windows were colored a deep blue.
They were all rather wide for a tall building, but they were just as high. I could see people in through the windows moving, training and teaching.
I tore my eyes away from them as I almost tripped over my own feet. The movement on the ground was just as captivating. Robes of all sorts of blues and blacks and whites were traveling in every direction. There were even pathsthat marked which way you should go for your destination.

We walked toward a building with the word 'INITIATION' on the front.
A guard was standing in front of the door.
"New recruits?" he asked.
I nodded, and he pointed inside.
"Take the left" he said.
We turned left and saw a blond receptionist. She gave us a brilliant smile, and waved us closer.
"You must be new recruits. Are you interested in joining the Academy?" she said in a peppy tone.
"Yes, we both are" I said. I looked at her card. Her name was Olivia Brown.
She handed us small golden cards with chains on them.
"If you would push a small amount of energy into these cards, they will become personalized to you" she said.
Amara palmed hers, and I felt the movement of her energy. The card now said:
Name: Amara Nyx Level: 12 Race: Hellfire Demon Age: 17
I could feel the energy within me, but I didn't know how to control it. I tried to grasp it with my mind, and forcefully shove it into the card. The card blew out of my hand, and hit the wall.
"Whoa there, try to use a little less energy" said the receptionst.
Skill Learned: Essence Manipulation- You can manipulate your internal Essence Spell Learned: Essence Blast- Send a pulse of destructive Essence out from any part of your body
I picked it back up, and I tried to puch a tiny bit of essence into it. It worked, and the card lit up.
Name: Ryan Level: 0 Race: Biometallic Progenitor Age: 17
"I think that you are the first recruited Progenitor" said Olivia.
She handed me a ring with a small crystal embedded in the top. It seemed to have miniscule inscriptions on it.
"This is a storage ring. They can hold about 5 square feet of materials, and you need to insert energy to use it" Olivia explained.

I put it on, and gave it some Essence. It was like I grew a whole new limb. I was connected to some kind of sub- dimension
She gave us the 50 gold, and instructed us to store it in our rings. Then, she slid flat, crystal devices toward us. They were about the size of a phone and they had strange inscriptions on the back.
"These are your communication crystals. You can talk with anyone on your contacts list. To add someone, you just need their energy signature" she said. "To personalize these, you still need to insert energy into them".
I activated mine, and then added Amara to my contacts list. When I inserted my Essence, a screen lit up. I could scroll through my contacts and whoever I selected would recieve a call. I could also message people. I sent Amara a text that said 'Test'.
Her crystal made a *Ding* noise and lit up.
Olivia directed us to our next stop, the Administration building.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
