《Necromancy Domination》Chapter 2 — Lost Temples

"There is none!"
Leon's energy broke in a second as he realized that he was in a world that he knows nothing about! He needs to alteast know something about it, if not, he's gonna die.
"I don't even know if they can use magic too! I need to find a civilization, the sooner the better!"
Leon was looking at the surrounding and he remembered about the birds. He remembered about spy drones from back on Earth and maybe if he can use Necromancy on them, then maybe he can command them to find humans up on the sky. It would be a great experiment; to see if it works on every creature as long as it was a living temple.
Except, Leon wouldn't know how to catch a bird when the only thing he has is a dagger... A DAGGER!
"That's it! He won't know if it'll work but with the [Swordsmanship] Skill, but it's worth the try."
Leon draw his dagger from it's scabbard and found a bird that looks like a sparrow but a bit bigger. The sparrow was sitting on a branch and it was looking away Leon who was 15 meters away. Leon doesn't know what he's feeling but when the moment he held on to it's dagger; he felt like he used it for months.
"So this is what it feels like."
Leon was always intrigued on what it must have felt like to acquire a talent he was suddenly given; and now he's experiencing it. He was given a talent that he didn't even work hard for; and that's what he liked. He smiled so hard as he threw the dagger in the air, spinning on top as he caught it from its tip and threw it to the sparrow.

The dagger stabbed through the wing and through the left side of its body. It fell to the ground like it was nothing and its blood spluttered out to the tree and some of it from the grasses bellow. The sparrow was still alive; twitching its body who was still desperate to live.
Yet, Leon didn't feel a sense of remorse. Even just a little bit. He was just standing there, looking at the sparrow bleed to death as the grasses started to get painted in bright-red.
Leon started to think, if he was still human.
Leon grabbed the dagger and pulled it away from the sparrow; spurting blood unto Leon's hands. Eventually, the sparrow died a slow and painful death.
"..."
Leon didn't say anything but he grabbed the dead sparrow bare-handed and chanted a word.
"RISE"
The blood of the sparrow started to flow out of its body. The blood started to cover the bird whole as the blood started to form similar to the bird's yet it was bigger and the eyes were blood-shot red. One thing that didn't change was the wound that it got from the dagger.
"So the wound when it was still alive, remains."
The "Necromanced" Sparrow stood up as it flew in Leon's shoulder. Leon hesitated, thinking it would smell of corpse but it didn't. It didn't emit any smell yet its organs was clearly visible from the hole that the dagger stabbed through. Still, Leon felt nothing from corpses, like he was used to seeing it.
"Look for fellow sparrows and bring the corpses to me."
"Kwaaahh!!"
The sparrow flew to the air with deadly speed as it croaked.
"Does birds always fly that fast or is this just this world's thing?"
Leon muttered at the surprise of what his sparrow just did. He knew it was fast because the moment it flapped its wings, it was already so far away from him.

A little later, the sparrow returned with the corpse of 3 of its kind. Leon resurrected them and ordered them to find any civilization or any humans at all. After resurrecting the 3 other sparrows, Leon discovered that he felt fatigue all over his body.
"So there is a limit, as I suspected."
One sparrow returned and flew to Leon with incredible speed. The sparrow didn't look like stopping at all, making Leon start to panic and tried to defend against the sparrow who was flying straight to him. He closed his eyes and he felt like someone just went inside him; yet it didn't hurt.
He opened his eyes and saw as the sparrow disappeared and he felt a shock in his brain. He saw a vision about a town in a bird-eye's view and then he felt as if he became one with the sparrow and that's where it hit; his minions goes to hide in his body. His body is the lost temple's sanctuary.
He suddenly thought of a word again.
"Return."
Leon muttered as one by one, the other three sparrows returned and went inside his body.
"..."
Leon was speechless. He never knew how important his class is; and inside him, his fire of hope lighted up again. He smirked as he formed his hand into a fist.
In his vision, there was a small town; maybe with only 10-15 houses. If my calculation is correct, there should only be 45 people there. It's a perfect start for Leon to know more about the world.
"Then let's get going then."
Leon closed his eyes and the four sparrows got out from Leon's body like a caterpillar going out of his cocoon to become a butterfly. They struggled a little but they eventually flew up. Leon ordered them to be a lookout and return to Leon's body whenever there's danger or any human incoming.
The sparrows flew high like a surveillance camera, spinning around the sky; following Leon as he started his journey to the small town.
"From the distance the sparrow got through, it should be 3 kilometers and from the sun's position. I should be there just after sunset."
And so, Leon started his very first journey to make his dream a reality.
