《Annotated By Sins, Magic Academy》Reboot: Chapter 12

I was backhanded over the roof point. I tried to grab something to stop my progression downward. Sliding down too fast, tiles flipped up, flipping me off. I couldn’t find a perch. I glance below me at the six demons with spears pointed up.
They really didn’t like me, did they?
I threw a series of fire daggers down but they effortlessly blocked them with shields. I merely wanted them to cover their face.
I transform into a wraith, slipping into the house. I dove straight for the ground.
“You gotta be kidding me.” I cried as a blast knocked me out of wraith form.
I curled up as I slammed out of a window into the street. I quickly spun on my hand, arresting my forward motion. Just barely dodging a spear jabbing downward.
I flicked a dagger at the asshole and infused myself with my familiar. Feeling the bones in my chest stitch back together quickly.
I heard a ding, followed by metal feet stomping. I cursed and flipped to my feet. Running the second I landed.
Who said fighting had to be all about cool ass taking out one versus nine? Fuck, I want to kill that imbecile.
I heard the sound of wind splitting behind me. I jumped into a roll forward, flinging up a firewall behind me. I turned to run but a fist said hi to my face. I was knock right back into a kick that put me out.

“Have all the combatants that are actually fighters captured?” the Dean asked.
“Two Princes were the last ones to be captured.” a white robe mage reported.
“Good, cancel the trial. Began the next phase.” the Dean said, teleported away.
“Students, congratulations on completing the entry exam. You will now be sorted into housing categories. You will have one day break before your classes will start. Schedules can be found on your bedroom dressers.” the white robe declared over a mic.

“So you aren’t going to talk, huh kid?” a black nose demon muttered, cutting off another piece of flesh from my body.
I hung upside down wondering when this illusion would end. The pain was my only companion, only friendly companion. It reminded me that I was still fortunate to be alive. At worst, I could end up like female companions. I bet they weren’t having it as cozy as I was.
Hanging from the ceiling, cold chains digging into my ankles. I think they had spikes or something in them. This guy was cutting off my flesh piece by piece. Blood dribbling down from my legs, past my crotch to my head. To be honest, I was sure I would die of blood loss before he could get any information out of me.
The man looked at me. “You aren’t going to talk, huh? That’s fine too. I want to see how long you can stay silent for.” He dropped the knife and walked out the cell..
I listened as his footsteps disappeared around the corner. My own body was already healing the wounds he inflicted. I started rocking, trying to gain momentum to reach the dagger. It took a few misses to slide it to where I could grab it easily.
I gritted my teeth and reached up, grabbing the chain, and began the masochist action of cutting off my own ankle. My foot fell before my body did. I had that moment where I wanted to puke, watching my foot grow back like that can be disturbing.
I heard footsteps coming back but my leg still wasn’t healed. I clicked my tongue and climbed to my good leg, hobbling over to a dark corner.
The asshole came in and looked around in surprise. He didn’t fully check the room but I think he was looking at the bloody splattered from the foot I kicked getting up. Ha, an accident saved me some trouble.

He knew I could heal fast. So it wasn’t surprising that his footsteps faded. I walked out of the cell carefully. Peeking around the corner to see nobody standing guard. I walked opposite of the stairs, towards the back of the cells. Slipping into an empty cell and hiding under a cot.
One hour swept by.
Two..
Six hours…
I was cursing under my breath. Are you telling me someone was capable of putting up a fight with the bloody watchers snitching on you? Do you think I am that stupid to know they gave away my position?
Fuck it, I’ll take my chance fighting out of here.
“Students, congratulations on completing the entry exam. You will now be sorted into housing categories. You will have one day break before your classes will start. Schedules can be found on your bedroom dressers.” a voice boom in my mind.
The world faded to black before I found myself sitting back in the hall. The fucker who sent us into the illusion was smiling down at us. A crate in his hand.
“Come up when I call your name and get your student ID.” he said while laughing.
We came up one by one and grabbed our badges. He disappeared without further words. I sighed and studied the enchantments on the badge. Before figuring out the process which allowed me to go to my dorm, hopefully.

All of the ship's systems had failed because it relied on ambient mana to work. Now, thousands of years later, the solar system is littered with space stations, the planet Dust has been colonized and the races of the Oldworld thrive again, having recovered from the destruction of the Oldworld. They live, they level, and they learn. But still, the origin of mana is unknown, and puzzles the scientists of the world even more. Some planets have it, like Dust, while some have none.
