Naoki Haru couldn't believe what is appeared on the blue screen in front of his eyes. Titles were something that was given to the people depend on the specific actions he or she has done, followed by all kinds of benefits or drawbacks depending on the title itself.
It was one of the reasons players wanted fame as receiving titles like Slayer Witch, Bloody Knight, or Hero of People is accompanied by very strong benefits.
And another reason was the title itself was a sign of identity and proof of their ability. That is why the addition or loss of each title will directly affect a person's or player's life. Because the person not just losing status or skill benefit relating to the title, they are losing part of their identity as well.
Two years ago, he suddenly received his title 'One Closer to Goddess' that giving him an insane status boost. Even more than that, it was a holy shield that blocks three lethal attacks in a day.
Thanks to this single title in just three years, Haru was able to enter the top ten in a ranking of japan's player ranking despite he late for more than ten years. But now suddenly he lost his golden ticket.
"What is it Haru ?"
Noticing Haru's grim expression, the girl beside him asked.
He quickly fixed his expression and nodded.
"I was just worried this freeloader would ask something more using the contract as blackmail."
"Don't worry Haru, you are someone who chosen by a goddess herself, it would be counting death if she wanted to ask more."
Said woman held Haru's while placing her head on his shoulder in an intimate way.
"Yeah."
With a nod, Sawako's ex-husband walks away with his new young beautiful lover. As for now, he has more important things to worry about.

"He is gone."
Sawako tried to recall the memories of her ex-husband. But there was nothing as all of them disappeared into time.
However, one thing for sure if she can't recall it, then means it was nothing to be worth remembering in the first place.
"Well. as if I had only him in the first place."
There was no attachment, and she could feel no anger or remorse from her heart. In her many reincarnations, she lived all kinds of life and married many types of people.
If he really that important then just like others he would carve each and every moment deeply in her soul that she never ever forget even if she wanted to.
After taking a breath, Sawako tried to remember how she is but after some time she decided to give up since she even forgot how she was in the first place.
"Naah."
In the first place, it was been whole five years people would already forget about her so Sawako decided to leave things as it is.
"I need proper food."
After some rest, Sawako decided to collect food since her fridge now completely empty along with her secret storage.

"Your card has declined, it says inefficient funds."
"Ah."
Sawako realized the bastard transferred all of her money.
After exhaling deep air in sign, Sawako took out her dept card and handed it to the cashier.
"Can, I play using debt card ?"
"Sure, have a good day."
A goddess Airu going into debt, if any other gods hear this they would never believe it.
"To think after all those years later, I get to taste of dept again."
With an awkward smile, she walked past the alley where the homeless spend their night.

At that moment.
"What the heck!"
"Shit!"
A static current occurred in the air 10 meters away.
After a while, space seemed to rip apart, and its length was a little over a meter and a half.
The nearby homeless people warming themselves over the fire shouted and ran past Sawako with all of their strength.
"What is that? I seem like a rift or not ?."
"A stray monster!"
From scream, Sawako remembered, sometimes when a new rift opens there is a chance to a monster would appear in the vicinity due to the usability of a new rift.
"Well, isn't this perfect chance to practice ?"
"From this size, it should something like wolf or goblin. Well either way it is the perfect target for release this stiffness."
Placing her groceries on the ground, Sawako took beer a bottle from the ground and smashed the bottom on the fence. The first thing she learned in fantasy was that anything can be a weapon long as she knows how to use it.
Although her Mana and magic itself weren’t that much in her human form, she knows unless it uses combat ability or weapon from the system it is hard to damage even lower-ranking monster like those but it doesn't mean it is impossible for an ordinary human to beat the monster.
"Raagh!"
"Grrr!"
Just as Sawako expected, three goblins that were armed with a short rusty sword appeared from the rift.
"Hoi!"
With one straight thrust, a sharp glass of bottle pierced through the first goblin's eyes. With a strong twist, she broke the body part and pushing shards even further.
"RAAGH!"
"As expected it can't go to a brain."
Throwing away a useless part of a bottle, Sawako took a step to the left evading thrust aiming at her face from the second goblin at the same she placed her right hand on the goblin's wrist and struck elbow with her left hand.
*Crack!*
With sound, she broke the arm, Sawako immediately stole a rusty short sword from the goblin's weakened grip. Then quickly took a side step to her right and used its body to block to swipe from the last goblin.
"Raagh!"
Ignoring scream beside her ears, Sawako stuck space under the goblin's rib with her stolen sword then pushed towards the third one.
With another weight placed on top of it third could nothing but scream in terror before the bloody salary woman finished it off. While the first one is laid on the ground behind her already dead from pain and blood loss.
"Aarght, damn this weak body of mine."
Sawako cursed while feeling a huge amount of muscle pain and shortness of breath from a sudden movement that unfamiliar to the body.
"Heh, heh, but this old lady still got the still eeeh!."
*Wheeze, Wheeze*
Dropping short sword on the ground, Sawako left the valley with her groceries without noticing the man stood behind the disappearing rift.
After wiping his sweat, the man took his phone from his pocket and called it to his boss.
"What is it Kanamori ?"
"Boss, do you remember group talk about an instructor for our new players ?"
"Yes ?"
"I think, I found it."

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.

Voidsong (A NaNoWriMo 2018 winner)
Synopsys: The Empire thought humanity died, and forgot all about it. The Empire is mistaken. A Note From the Author: This story was written as a National Novel Writing Month 2018 entrant. As such, its entire 50,000+ word length was written between November 1, 2018 and November 31, 2018. Overall, I would consider this no more than a polished draft. In that vein, the chapters have no names, only numbers. Special thanks to Chronus on youtube for answering my questions on NATO radio procedures! My Apologies to the Finnish Language, which I have abused in (probably) unforgivable ways to create Twisted Empire names. If anyone is interested, break the names up by commas and toss them into your favorite translation program (I used Google Translate, and tried to avoid umlauts and other accents) for some semi bilingual boni. If I got something wrong (and I know I did… somewhere…) let me know over on reddit and I will see what I can do to fix the mistake. Lyrics, where included, are cited in footnotes.
