《Rebirth of the Entertainment Giant》Divided

3:00 pm, Xihu alley.
At this time, the roar of the engine from a sports car suddenly broke the tranquillity of the empty lane, accompanied by the shrill sound of brakes, stopping at the door of HuaXiang Entertainment.
When everyone came out to see, it was a red Ferrari fashion sports car that caught their eyes. When the gull-winged car door slowly rose, everyone was taken aback and unanimously shouted a name: "Wang Jingwen!"
Wang Jingwen gracefully walked out of the car and just stood firmly in front of them. A sudden breeze blew, picking up her beautiful dark hair. It was like a scene straight out of movie scene, she flicked her hair with pure finesse, seemingly enjoying their shocked expressions as everyone finally understood the meaning of the "Charming Car and Beautiful Women", truly a breathtaking combination.
Wang Jingwen twisted her buttocks, taking small steps forward, slowly coming in front of Yuan Datong and co.
"Wang Jingwen, where did you get such a good car? Did you borrow it?" Emma's eyes were wide open, her eyes never left the sports car, she felt afraid to even touch it, fearing that she couldn't afford to damage it. She could only watch from a distance.
"There are still people who borrow a car, haha, really a group of dumplings." Wang Jingwen spoke disdainfully, her pair of pupils inclined to ninety degrees, seemingly too lazy to look at them.
"You mean you bought it?" Yuan Datong's voice sounded. He had seen the car on the internet, he also knew that the car was expensive, without at least 10 million one couldn't even think about driving it home.
Although Wang Jingwen recently made a few million, at best she could buy the four wheels of this car. She wouldn't be able to buy the whole car unless she won a lottery ticket, Yuan Datong would not believe that Wang Jingwen had the ability to buy this car otherwise.
Wang Jingwen coldly hummed, without even answering him, she walked straight to into the building.
Entering the door, she did not forget to turn back and warn: "You can look, but don't touch it, if you scratch it, you can't even afford to fix it." Afterwards, she walked back into the company.
Unexpectedly, just as soon as she entered the door, Ling Ming appeared in front of her, like a ghost.

Faced with the idol that she was always thinking about, Ling Ming's hands rose, clutching her mouth, her copper-bellied eyes trembling violently, her dark face covered with alarm, she could not believe she actually ran into her idol. Very excited, she said, "Wang Jingwen, my God, it's really Wang Jingwen!"
She hurriedly outstretched her hands, "Hello Miss Wang Jingwen, my name is Ling Ming I'm your biggest fan, I can sing all of your songs. You are my idol. I did not expect that I would really see your today. I... Can I shake hands with... you?"
Ling Ming's sudden appearance surprised Wang Jingwen. But after determining that she was not a ghost, Wang Jingwen broke the heart of Ling Ming completely. Ignoring her, she headed towards the stair leading to the recording studio.
Seeing Wang Jingwen completely ignoring her, Ling Ming could not help but look discouraged and feel self contempt, thinking that the other party was big star, and she was just an ordinary girl, so being ignored by others was also normal, no big deal.
Reaching the stairs to the studio, Wang Jingwen was about to head up. But Zhang Xiaohua's voice suddenly sounded, revealing his indignant anger, "Where did you go? How come you're here so late?"
In fact, Zhang Xiaohua didn't even need to ask to know where Wang Jingwen was. The other side was already so generous, even giving her a sports car with a value of tens of millions. Except for New Century, Zhang Xiaohua couldn't think of anyone else.
However, Zhang Xiaohua still hoped that Wang Jingwen would be honest with him. If she could redeem herself, Zhang Xiaohua would continue to hold on to her. After all, she was an extremely rare singer. Although her character was a problematic, he could slowly tune her up and instil respect in her. If she really betrayed them, then Zhang Xiaohua would lose all the effort and all the time he invested in her. If it was true, Zhang Xiaohua could not help but feel a little pity, after all, she was his first singer and success.
Since she decided to join the New Century, Wang Jingwen did not want to give Zhang Xiaohua face. But for now, it wasn't time to have the final showdown with Zhang Xiaohua, at least not before she got the things that New Century Entertainment wanted, so she could only take his anger laying down, but still frustrated, she spoke in spite:

"I'm went to see a friend, or do I not even have this freedom? I'm a human, not an animal that will only be eat and slept at home. Since you like to limit other people's freedom so much, please, go find someone else. I can't adapt to it anyway. I can't handle the concert. I'm not doing it."
Hearing this, Zhang Xiaohua was disappointed for a while...
It looked like she had decided in her heart, and determined to part ways with HuaXiang Entertainment.
Ugh!
He was originally expecting her to make a fortune for the company in the future, even a concert was prepared for her. But it ended up like this.
Zhang Xiaohua shook his head helplessly, not saying anything, but waved Wang Jingwen out, indicating her to leave.
He could provide her a path, but he couldn't force her to walk it.
In Zhang Xiaohua's mind, even if he wanted to teach her a lesson, it was useless to just rely on words, only results would make her realise her mistakes and stupidity.
Sometimes, words would only leave the enemy with an opportunity to prepare. In this case, there was no need to speak any further.
Wang Jingwen, hearing Zhang Xiaohua sigh and walk away, smirked with disdain, waiting for him to disappear from range.
She continued to sneak upstairs...
Walking into the recording studio, Wang Jingwen immediately exposed an evil smirk, sneaking around like a thief. Walking up to Yuan Datong's safe under a desk, she typed in the code she had heard him tell to Zhang Xiaohua, turning the lock, she finally took out the samples for the 13 songs.
After taking out her phone and opening the camera, Wang Jingwen quickly took photos of the lyrics and music scores. After finishing, she carefully returned everything back to its original position.
Under a guilty conscience, she did not forget to erase her fingerprint of the drawer handle and safe. She didn't want to leave any clues behind, for fear that she would be forced to eat a lawsuit in the future.
Fortunately, there wasn't any camera's around. In this way, even if this incident were exposed in the future, Zhang Xiaohua could do nothing to her.
"Truly, a small company doesn't even have a camera." After muttering, Wang Jingwen didn't want to stay long. From this moment onward, she and this company were done. As for the following issues, New Century would be able to handle it, she wouldn't need to worry about it at all.
Sneaking back downstairs, as Wang Jingwen stepped of the staircase, she turned to see Zhang Xiaohua sitting behind his desk in the conference room. She casually said: "Today I don't feel well. I'm going home to have a rest, we can't record today."
Zhang Xiaohua looked at Wang Jingwen and disregarded her, then looked at Ling Ming who had just appeared beside her and then looked to Wang Jingwen with a smile: "I forgot to introduce her to you. She is Ling Ming... our company's new... singer.
Wang Jingwen heard this and turned to take a glimpse at the girl.
Did he already know she was switching sides, so he had already found another singer?"
How could this be?
It was only like two hours ago that she talked with Cao Feifei and decided to make the switch to New Century.
Turning her eyes to Ling Ming, Wang Jingwen suddenly felt an inexplicable embarrassment in her heart, she did not speak, but she didn't totally dismiss Ling Ming. After all, she had seen Zhang Xiaohua's talent first hand for herself. But she also didn't believe that Zhang Xiaohua could raise this Ling Ming to the same level as her.
In Wang Jingwen's heart, she believed that if she was gold, Ling Ming was merely a stone. She admitted Zhang Xiaohua could polish her into an impressive singer, but no one in this world, not even him, had the ability to turn a stone into gold, unless he was a god.
No matter how much she developed, she would only be a polished stone, no threat to her.
"I'm sorry, I'm not feeling well, I must hurry to go home to rest." Saying this, Wang Jingwen fled out through the door, and as Yuan Datong and were co shocked, she sped off, leaving them breathing tire smoke and coughing.

The War Wolves
If you’re good at something, never do it for free. That’s what Ludgar’s uncle taught him. Sellswording isn’t the most glamorous life, but it pays well if you’re good at it. Interesting as well, if you ignore the very probable possibility of a swift, sticky end at the hands of pointy things. When the mercenary lifestyle grows incompatible with the Kingdom of Evandis, he and his merry band of misfits set off west to seek those with a better proclivity for warfare and with much deeper pockets. At his side: a wandering barbarian who teeters on the edge of savagery, a girl who would have a heart of gold if she didn’t pawn it off to the nearest fence, a wannabe knight who is absolutely overcompensating for something, and the last person in the universe who should be anywhere close to magic. But, as most mercenaries find, the right decisions are quite an expensive luxury, and the wrong ones happen to pay very well. Then again, what are the value of morals to a hungry wolf?

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
