This is a longer chapter then usual :D

Saladin's POV

The Vragule creature turned around and looked at me with its terrifying gazing eyes.

I was petrified, but I managed to step back which caused me to avoid my death from its swing of its hammer.

The feeling of thee being close to death's door gate, has happened again.

Sherah shot an arrow aiming at the creatures head but was grabbed by one of its many hands.

It then throws the arrow at a very fast speed towards Sherah, but it was deflected by the shield of Yurnixa.

Though it made both of the girls surprised while Yurnixa was scared from how it was aimed directly towards her head.

Muzaik came launching into the air from what seemed to be magic and was aiming his sword downwards while fixing his position towards the monster.

Though the attack managed to strike it's back, it did no damage and in the process, Muzaik was launched flying by three of the monsters hands hitting him.

Hercs was getting healed by Laura slwoly while Oli was in the floor collapsed from exhaustion.

Nyorin was running towards the Vragule while her swords were enchanted with gleaming light.

The monster used his hammer to try hit me again, but this time he swung it from down to up which managed to damage my arm creating a crack noise.

Though I dodged it's full blunt attack, it was not fast enough to prevent the hit on my right arm.

My right arm has been dislocated and also the bone popped out, piercing the skin which allowed blood to flow out.

It hurts so badly, but I didn't scream out loud but instead I gritted my teeth while making a face that is really pissed off.

It's funny on how if I move my right arm, it would just wiggle without me feeling anything from it.

I hope it can be healed, or else... I might go... never mind mind.

'I like how I'm not being serious on the inside...' - My thoughts

Vragule the creature/monster was pulling up it's hammer and is now preparing for another strike.

Nyorin came charging behind the monster, and sliced up the arms that came trying to hit her.

Muzaik got up but was bleeding on his head part while having some dust all over him with small debris of stone from crashing towards the wall.

Nyorin looked very mad as she might have seen me hurt and so she became wild.

The monster tried smashing Nyorin with the hammer but was to slow for her as she side stepped and continued slicing down the monster.

Vertical slices, horizontal slices and especially the thrusting of her sword on the Vragule's skin.

Sherah's arrow hitting one of the eye of the creature which didn't killed it but badly damaged it.

You might be thinking on why I'm doing nothing, well your wrong as I'm looking for my iron wires and throwing knives for something I planned to do.

But before I prepare, what I'm about to do, I must have a far location from the creature while sheathing my long sword and taking out it's enchantment

I pulled out a throwing dagger out my bag and broke the blade by holding it with my left hand and using my right leg to break it by kicking it.

Before I do anything with the wires, I must wear the gloves I bought back when I was in the town so that my hands won't get harmed though it was difficult as you can tell I had only one available arm moving.

I then used the wire to tie it on the handle which was once a throwing dagger which I used my mouth and left hand to do so.

After wards I tied the other end of the wire to a throwing knife but this time I will not break the blade.

The monster was badly bleeding from the attacks of Nyorin with Muzaik and arrows from Sherah.

Hercs was still getting healed by Laura.

Vragule tried to hit Nyorin with its arm but it was cut off by Muzaik's sword slashing it vertically.

The monster then span around while swing its sword at the same time causing a fast spin which was easily stopped by Nyorin piercing it with light from her sword.

Enough dragging this shitty fight as I'm tired of this pain on my right arm...

So I hurled the throwing dagger at the monster while holding into the handle which is attached to the dagger via the iron wire.

I used my mouth to hold it while I throw the dagger.

After it managed to pierce the wound which was opened from one of the attacks of my group, I enchant the handle with the wire and the throwing knife.

This caused the insides of the Vragule to burn badly by blue flames.

Everyone was surprised and backed off from the creature while looking at me.

I was making a smirk while laughing in a evil way while looking at the ceiling.

'This is pure genius' - My thoughts

When the flame extinguished, the creature was still alive and was screaming with agony while dropping his hammer a little while back.

There was no more use of the handle and so I threw it away and began searching again inside my bag.

I pulled out a bottle of vinegar and took out the cork by using my teeth while I approach the agonizing Vragule.

'This might be kind of an asshole move... but who cares it killed one of my companions!' - my thoughts

I bathed the Vragule with the vinegar which made it agonizes so loud that it made all the surrounding individuals to cover their ears.

'Yes, music to my ears..., I might be a sadist...' - My thoughts

The creature died from the intense pain and I was expecting it to give me a large soul but it didn't, nothing at all...

It was weird as both creatures didn't have any sort of soul which made me wonder on what are this monsters.

Nyorin and Laura started heading towards me with haste while I fall in the ground and agonize on the my right arm which the pain started triggering towards my brain.

Slowly I noticed that the area started changing, while everyone started fading away including the monsters.

My badly wounded right arm was back to normal while my body felt like it never fought anything.

The whole place started collapsing as if reality is being bent.

When I blinked my eye one more time, I noticed that I'm in the exact area but this time it was lit and not damaged at all.

The walls didn't have any bloody in them while the area doesn't have the scent of dead adventurers.

I felt really weird but the thing that freaked me out the most was that 'Hercs' was alive.

Everyone was having the same expression as I am having.

Though Oli and Jouv were fully recovered and were having tears as they hug Hercs who was having a dumbfounded face.

I didn't know what happened as Nyorin and everyone else approaches me with expressions telling me that they are confused.

If it was something not real, then that explains why the creatures didn't offer their souls to me when they were killed.

Laura asked if I was hurt while having a little tear in her right eye.

I replied saying that I'm fine while taking out the tear from her eye and told her to be happy.

Nyorin was scolding me, telling me that I should be more careful to my body as if it wasn't for the illusion, it would be a serious problem right now.

Muzaik was having a deep though while placing his hand on his beard while stroking it.

He then said

"This area was actually imbued with a powerful illusion spell which only works if adventurer's step into this area, is what I think" - Muzaik

Sherah and Yurnixa joined the conversation.

Yurnixa then said

"What would happen if we all died from those monsters?, even if it was an illusion?" - Yurnixa

Muzaik then replied while having lifeless eyes

"You would forever repeat your death while feeling the pain until you could beat the creatures" - Muzaik

Everyone had a scared expression while being tainted with some anxiety.

I was having a thought if I screwed up, I would have died and may repeat getting killed for eternity.

I gone and asked if Hercs remember anything while he was in the illusion, but I found out that he didn't know what happened.

It looked like his memories has been wiped out about the illusion due to him getting killed.

I could still picture his dead body in the ground which made me almost throw up.

It looked like Oli was really overjoyed with tears on how Hercs was still alive.

Jouv was also having tears while punching the shoulder of Hercs.

Though Hercs didn't know as to why were they doing that to him.

I then explained to him everything about what just happened.

He was completely surprised as to what just happened, though he didn't believe at the start but was swayed from our serious mood.

After a while of cooling down, I noticed that the items I used on the monsters where still there,

It was as if we were in a bad dream, striving for the hardest to be freed.

Though the group was mentally unprepared, we still need to move on.

There was a large metal door which was not there in the illusion.

I told everyone that we are moving out by going through the door that I'm pointing at which averted their sight towards it.

Even though, I had a bad feeling that it's best to back off and quit the dungeon but I didn't think further as I might just jinx us.

Sherah was still having her usual poker face while still staying close behind Yurnixa as if she is some sort of body guard.

There was one thing that i must mention and that was the close attachment of Nyorin to me even more than usual.

I asked what is the problem and she replied saying

"This might be the last time, I could be with you..." - Nyorin

'What is up with the jinxing?!' - My thoughts

Laura was also very close while also looking down in the ground as she leans towards my shoulder and also having gloomy eyes.

I could already know as to why she is like that and it might be similar reason as to Nyorin.

Sherah was looking at us with an annoyed expression while making a quiet 'tch' noise and then looked away from our direction.

Oli and her mini reverse harem were together side by side while having red eyes from the crying earlier.

Though Oli tried to cheer the mood up by saying that she might never get a child if she goes through another one of those experience.

When she said that, everyone was having a slight change of mood from the sad bitter one to a slightly happier expression including me.

Muzaik was looking carefully at the metal door which was in front of us.

The door was patterned with all sorts of flowers and pieces of an armor which were covered with vines.

It took only a mere push for it to be opened and revealed a lot of undead skeletons which were wearing all sorts of different armors and wielding all sorts of weapons.

I tried closing the door again but it wouldn't budge and so I decided to pull out my long sword and told everyone to prepare for battle.

Laura conjured a small ice bunny from chanting 'Oh goddess of ice, grant thee the permission to summon one of your servants'.

The monster bunny gently hopped towards the mob of skeleton warriors which were angrily charging towards us.

I was questioning as how will that bunny will help us, but I was completely surprised from when the bunny exploded and ice spears shot every where at the mob direction.

Everyone was shocked as to how deadly the magic Laura conjured.

Including me who left with a mouth opened as I look at the skeletons get pin cushioned by an armada of icicle spears.

Sherah was pulling the string on her large bow and was prepared to shoot the arrow while looking on the ice fog which was covering the place preventing us from from seeing on what happened to the mob.

Everyone then noticed the red eyes which slowly grew in number while piercing through the fog.

'I noticed that... they weren't put down from what Laura conjured' - My thoughts

They then started marching towards us again but this time much more wildly, I should have expected this, as they are obviously undead.

I was really mentally tired to go through another mess, and so I decided to spray vinegar in the ground which I took out the bottle from my bag.

They were closing near but backed away from the fire I created by using my hand to enchant with fire which spread really quickly.

This vinegar is kind of special as usually it would be 95% liquid (likely water) and the other 5% would be acid but this one is nearly the complete opposite.

it's 95% acid and 5% liquid which is really flammable even a little spark can cause a large fire.

Before I caused the fire, I told every one to back away, though I expected that Laura would have some sort of a trauma but she didn't.

Speaking of Laura's trauma, I would have though that she would be afraid of fire as it is the opposite of her main element which is ice and the fact that her blindness was caused due to fire.

When we first met, I used fire magic and it didn't actually affected the way she acts at all.

This conclusion tells me that she might had overcome it from her journey whens he was blind before she met me or she never had any fear for fire...

Unlike me who is still afraid from the sight of blue hue coming out from a persons hands which would recall horrid memories.

Though, I don't exactly know what happened to cause me this trauma... maybe it has to do with this person called Kioni...

The skeletons were getting scorched by the fire while getting pierced by the repetitive shots of Sherah's bow.

Oli and Nyorin were piercing some of them by light magic which was mostly coming out from the tip of their weapons.

I didn't want to stand and idle by, so I decided to throw knives which were enchanted with blue flames.

The flames where moving completely differently from when it was in its previous tier.

Instead of the flame being wild and violent, it was calmly swaying from the wind while keeping its untouchable burning temperature.

Though at first, when I managed to create tier 2 flame for the first time, I thought that it was now an ice element but I was wrong from when I touched it due to curiosity.

The mob was getting obliterated form our combined forces of attack.

Muzaik didn't have any sort of ranged weapon and so decided to use my knives to throw with me.

As you can recall that I'm bad with aiming from my previous battle experiences, even though I made a lucky shot to the Vragule earlier on his wound which was completely by chance.

Five out of twenty shots were missed from me throwing at them which made me really pissed as to how I'm wasting this precious knives from when I was making them way back in the black smith's shop.

I could hear Sherah snickering from how I'm bad with aiming which made me even more pissed.

Yurnixa was in the middle of the group as we decided that her necklace could act as some sort of shield to prevent us from harm.

Hercs and Sherah was mostly the ones who did the most damage as they have their crossbow and long bow.

After a tirelessly long time time, the horde of skeletons finally stopped pressing forwards which made some of us relieved from the dismiss of the endless battle.

I ran out of throwing knives earlier and didn't know what to do as I had nothing to hit them with and so decided to do enhancement training as it has been a while and to keep myself occupied.

Jouv didn't had anything else to do also at the middle of the battle and so started writing something on a book.

The fire on the vinegar has vanished long ago and was replaced with a ice barrier from Laura for mostly the whole battle.

After it was done, I made a large relieved sigh and jumped over the ice barrier while my long sword is pulled out.

I was checking if any of them would come back to life but none of them did as they are just a bunch of really badly broken bones...

There was one more door at the end of the long not so wide pathway which was filled with skeleton corpses.

By the time I get closer to it, everyone already gone over the ice barrier and were following me.

The door was really strange as it was completely black and has barely visible words which was really hard to read.

Before I could push the door, I was stopped by Muzaik who was grabbing my arm.

I didn't know what gotten over me as I was entranced to open the door...

He then told all of us that this the last stage to a dungeon and that is the boss room or 'Lortigrix' which means 'Final demise'.

Muzaik told us that this dungeon is supposed to be a weak one and so the boss might be the same but he had a confused look.

He then continued talking by saying that this dungeon was odd as the creatures here don't seem like anything the rank says this dungeon supposed to be.

Muzaik also included saying that this dungeon is quite small as we already reached the boss gate which would normally take days to find.

Everyone was also looking surprised as they thought this is how a dungeon normally works which no one can blame them as this is their first time entering a dungeon.

It was the boss that we are facing and so I decided to be at my at most best condition.

I enhanced my arms and legs with the basic magic by making imagining that my legs and arms would emit a green hue while having enormous strength which made move my body as if I'm dancing while looking like someone creating a famous piece of art by moving my arms slowly but gently around.

Everyone was looking at me as to what I'm doing while having fascinated faces.

My arms and legs were covered with a flowing green hue and I could feel my body has became much more easier to move from the absurd strength on my legs.

I'm not the only who prepared as everyone also did what they needed to do to face something strong.

With our amount of power, I think we could overcome the boss.

We made a small celebration as to how far we reached together while getting to know each other more.

I tried talking to Oli alone to get to know her but I was stopped by Jouv and Hercs who said in unison 'You ain't getting her'.

Though I was chuckling a bit as to how they both are in love with the same lady.

There was no way that I would go for Oli as both Nyorin and Laura would probably either get depressed or kill me.

This looked like a party made solely for jinxing, but I didn't care less as I was laughing tons from the jokes Oli was making which were really hysterical.

After we were prepared and also ready to face the boss, I opened the door which made a loud noise as it opens.

We looked around and it was some sort of large area filled with vines everywhere while the walls surrounding the area has worn out bricks filled in the gaps with mosses.

In the middle of the area there was a huge circle with lots of symbols on them.

All of us walked slowly towards the middle of the area but quickly halted from the noise of the door behind of us closing and immense amount of chains cover it while blood is flowing through them.

Everyone gazes then averted towards the circles which a black bottomless circle appears and a something comes out of it.

This might not even be worth to be called a creature nor monster.

It was something that only appears in your nightmares or in hell.

Everyone except Muzaik fell to the ground kneeling while anxiety fills our eyes.

There was no more hope, this is the end.

Laura was clutching my hands while Nyorin was having tears flow down her eyes as she leans on to my trembling shoulder.

The pressure the monster was emitting was really strong that can make anyone kneel down and grovel to it.

My enhancement were useless as they vanished by the mere look at it's eyes.
