I opened my eyes and saw my father still sitting in front of me. It was no longer night, the sun was shinning brightly. I looked at my father as he was watching me. There were traces of confusion and astonishment in his eyes.
“Something wrong father?”
“Do you know how long it has been?”
“No”
“three days”
“……..”
“Three days”, I muttered. For a practitioner it is usually considered a small time. Sometimes they cultivated for years gaining new understanding and shaping their martial ways. But that is for a higher level practitioner. For a person like me who has not yet reached muscle shaping realm, that is something really unusual.
“It’s strange. You have been meditating for so long, yet you haven’t reached muscle shaping realm. On the contrary, I can feel that your spirit powers haven’t changed at all. How unusual. Your spirit channels broken or something? “
“I am fine father. Don’t worry about it. I have my own ways.”
My father still wanted to say something but eventually just shook his head and said nothing.
I smiled seeing him like this and didn’t say anything either.
“Do you know the Shin clan has broken the contact? “
“What are you talking about?”
“They want to break the contact and substitute me with Tatti. And it seems the clan elders agreed.”
“They what? Good… very good. It seems, the moment my son has failed to shine, those old farts have finally started revealing their fangs. They think, I can’t do anything to them? Or they are really confident in their abilities? And that bloody Shin clan really think, they can get away smacking my face? Don’t worry Arya, I will see how far they can go.”
There was clear anger on my father's face and as I thought he didn’t even know. The clan master doesn’t know the annulling of his son’s marriage contact. That is some serious disrespect. My father was clearly ready to go all out but I don’t.

“No need to father. Don’t pursue it, instead tell them I am agreeing with it. But as a compensation I want to have full authority of our southern region businesses. From this point onward, they are my businesses and the clan won't have any authority over them. That much is possible, right?”
“But why? And businesses of southern region? There are not anything special out there. Just some shops that buys and sells demonic beast's skin and core and a gamble shop. And It’s near the chaos forest, there are some nasty people out there too. “
“It’s okay I understand what I am doing.”
“Why don’t you want me to pursue it though?”
“Those people, they are smacking your face openly. It’s clear they want you to take action. So they might be having some serious scheme in their mind. They are making a trap and want us to fall in it. But just because they want us to play their game, doesn’t mean we have to. Besides this is not the right time yet and I am not someone who forgets humiliations, my dear father.”, I looked at my father as a determined look was visible on my face.
My father sighed and smiled at me, “You sure had grown up before I noticed. Alright, as you wish I won't pursue the matter and you will get what you wanted. If I take a step back, those old dogs won't even dare to fart, unless they want direct confrontation.”
“I will count on you then. I will be leaving now, I still needs to move out my things from my yard.”
“ Spend some time like today with your father in the future if you have opportunity.”
“Alright”, I chuckled as I started leaving. With this my task here will be complete. After the formalities are done, my journey to the southern region will officially begin

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
