-Mora Pov-
The headmaster lead me through the center of the plaza and to a large one story building to the rear. To the left and right the building was flanked by a pair of two story buildings making it seem smaller.
“This is the faculty lounge you may come here anytime you want the door is only locked to students unless invited in.” The headmaster said as he opened the door
As I ducked to enter the room it became a large room with desks placed in the corners and couches surrounding a table in the middle as I continue to look around I noticed a group of 10 people sitting down and looking at me, some had dropped jaws others looked like they were about to spill their coffee. The headmaster seeing this reaction smiled and let out a light laugh
“I had a feeling you would make this reaction Mora , most of the staff is from the southern end of the continent so the largest race they have ever seen would be the trolls or bear-kin so someone your size would get this reaction.”
Hearing the headmaster's voice one of the teachers comes out of his dazed state and wakes the other teachers, after they all got their bearings straight they walked over. Some of the teachers had animal ears on the top of their heads while others looked more like humans their was even a man from the demon race in the mix. The teachers seemed to line up and greet me one by one I learned that most of the teachers were former adventures and had come to the school to retire. A few asked me why I desired to be a teacher here and after telling them about my daughter they seemed to been respect to me. After about an hour of talking and learning more about the staff I came across the fact that these ten teachers were just a few of the many but they ran the buildings for the classes. Each of the ten building specialised in courses ranging from basic knowledge to the skills of swordsmanship and wizardry. Including my roommate and me there was a total of 12 main buildings but from their talks a 13th was not here.

“Anyone know where he's at?” Said one of the teachers
At this a female teacher with a fox tail sighed
“The longer it takes that idiot to get here the better I think we all know what that fool will do.”
At this most of the teachers nodded in agreement
Trying to figure out what they were talking about I asked the fox kin what she was talking about
“Ah well you see the 13th member of our merry band is……”
As she was about to continue her explanation a sudden burst of wind came from the front door. Stepping through the door a man standing at about 6ft walked into the room seeming to have the flow of a noble about him he walked over to the group and with his approach the group parted for him to enter
“What's all the hubbub about over here you know you have to begin the cleaning of the classrooms before the students come into the building next week.” Said the man with a Pompous grin
“Us? Don't you mean you if I recall the only place on campus that is a mess is the magic building under your supervision.” Responded one of the teachers
“Ah! And you expect me to clean it as a noble from the Langester family cleaning is beneath me.” The man said
At this comment the man looked at me
“Well Maxwell I didn't know you captured a Giant he will make for a good cleaner at the building let me borrow him for cleaning , You there giant fallow me.”
With those words the one called Maxwell seemed to become angry
“You stupid noble this is not a contracted monster but a fellow teacher and I believe you owe him an apology you fool”

With a look of confusion as the noble looked towards me then maxwell the man suddenly began to laugh
“Hahahaha O that is too rich my friend what could a barbarian teach to the high end of society and the next generation, how to tie two sticks together?”
At these words not just Max but the entire teaching staff besides me began to pore out killing intent two reds the noble. Seeming to be unaffected by it the noble laughed until he noticed the headmaster calmly sipping tea besides me, almost frozen at the site the noble spoke again
“Surely you must be joking headmaster to bring a person from a barbaric race to this school to teach?”
Taking a sip from is tea the headmaster responded
“This man has shown the skills and applied for teaching as has shown the restraint to not outright send you through the floorboards my friend I would suggest not to try his patients”
“Surely this must be a joke though?”
“I never joke and the fact that he was referred to us by the monks at Fort Frassed, and if you have a problem with that i would suggest to send them a letter.”
With those words the noble froze and so did the teachers.
“Well if the monks say so i will not press this matter, and with that I will take my leave.”The noble said with a humph
As the man left the other teachers turned to the headmaster.
“So he was referred by the monks?”
Taking another sip of his tea the man nodded and smiled.Seeing my look of confusion the teachers explained to me that the monks in this country are basically second in command below the king they control most of the flow of information and the transfer of money. A few years ago a noble had disrespected the monks lost complete control over his land and became a peasant in the course of a week. After they explained that they walked out of the room and back to their homes. With the talks done the headmaster told me that i should go back to my place and get some rest.
With that done the week seemed to pass by quickly until the day of opening ceremony.

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.
