Girl was about to cry. Tim wasn't used to this type of behaviour. His face turned red with anger, his hand became fist. I touched his shoulder, when he looked at me I shook my head. He relaxed his fist. A minute later harassment was over. Guard said with a smug face "There is nothing on her except some juicy peach'' Father daughter entered the city with darkened faces.

I said with my most pitiful voice "Sir, that's all I got, take pity on me I walked 2 days to come here, bandits beat me wolf chased me you know all this apple worth 3 silvers, please take pity on me good sir." While I was doing that I hated myself. I was the mister straight shooter in my past life. Bribers hated me because I said how corrupt they are right on their face, now I was begging to some low ranked gambeson wareing spear carrying guard." He said "Ok, just give 2 coppers then" I give money from my visible purse. Intentionally shoving the guard there is only a few copper coins there. Then the guard turned Tim a copper for entry" He said "I have no money" Idiot didn't have a seperate visible purse. I got angry at myself . I should have been more careful. But some things seem obvious to you when you know it, you forget those things not obvious to people who didn't see those things. I take copper from my purse and give it to the guard. But the guard decided to search him carefully, because he got suspicious. While the guard was searching him he was getting closer to crouch, which is money hidden. I think quickly. I took an apple from the crate and said "Sir, there is no peach there, may be a carrot, but not a peach, I hope you do not like carrots, my brother certainly doesn't sir, but I can give you an apple." Other guards started laughing. He didn't like me implying he is gay. So he dropped searching Tim. I was still holding an apple one other guard said, " Hey John, you didn't get the apple" and started laughing. He was going to get teased for beeing gay. And this was actually bad for him. But I don't have any pity for the corrupt.
