《Restarting life as a peasant》Chapter 16

Goblins, small, green humanoid creatures with pointy noses. They are seen as a pest more than anything. They had their own language. Simple sounds. And when they steal tools from people they can use them. They were definitely more intelligent than apes but less intelligent than humans. Also In this planet elfs, orcs, dwarves ect. existed. But we had never seen them. Only heard stories from wandering traders and bards.
I didn’t intend to kill goblins if I can use them for my gain. I went to the bakery and bought all the stale bread he had. I had seven goblins now, they were crying in their language. One by one I bring them out with my magic. They were terrified because of my powers so they didn’t even try to run. I was pleased with my success because those were even smaller than regular goblins. They were goblin younglings. I show them a lump of iron ore, and say to them “bring me this, I will give you this” Showing a piece of stale bread. Goblins didn’t understand of course. I puppeteered one of them with my powers. Force him to bring me one piece of iron lump. And give him the bread Creature who was clearly hungry wolfed it down. One by one I used them to bring me pieces of iron and give them food. Around two hours later they started to understand and one by one they brought out iron lumps themselfs.
After that I showed them to put iron lumps into my carrying crate. They didn’t like it because I didn’t give them bread anymore. But whenever they stopped I hurt them with magical powers. So they continued. When my crate was full then I gave them a lot of bread. I took the crate and forced goblins into the mine. Barricaded mine entrance with a simple barricade made with wooden sticks.

Next day when I came I was surprised, goblins filled some old barrels left in the mine with iron lumps. So I got to the baker, he had no stale bread, because I bought those yesterday. So I went to the butcher to buy some animal remains. And buy a big sack of grain from my neighbor. I cooked those into a slurry in a caldron in the smitty. I got back to the mine. I opened the fence, and forced goblins to carry the barrels. they had a hard time even with a single one. But because of fear of me they achieved. After they brought all the barrels from the mine I gave them entrie caldron of slurry. They eat it up.
From that day forward I teach them to bring me wood and iron. Everyday they bring me wood and iron and everyday I give them food, most of the time stuff suitable for pigs. But they were happy. With my resource problems dealt with I could start to make A lot of weapons. 200 was many even for my machined smitty.
