《Path of Pandora – My Worldbuilding System》Completionist's Heaven

The Gaia Core interface has changed. Two new options appeared beside the ‘Expansion’ and ‘Waves’ menu.
[ – – – Menu – – – ]
[ -> Expansion ]
[ -> Waves ]
[ -> Missions ]
[ -> Achievements ]
Being a true completionist in his previous life, Tanuki immediately chose the [ Achievements ] menu. Upon doing so, a large list of trophies appeared.
There were at least ten thousand different trophies. Most of them were black shadows, indicating that Tanuki has not unlocked them yet. But besides the many dark silhouettes were a few colorful trophies.
One of the two unlocked trophies resembled a field, a forest, and a hill, grouped under a large cloud that rained on the three. Further examination of the trophy revealed its name and the rewards for unlocking it.
[ Name: ‘My Little Garden’ ]
[ Conditions: ‘Place 3 different Tiles’ ]
[ Unlocks: ]
[ A functional Weather ]
[ 100 World Points ]
[ 50 Tile Points ]
[ ‘The skies roar above…’ ]
Tanuki immediately recognized this achievement and its rewards. He unlocked it when he and the Professor first met, and the Professor proposed he places a hill.
“Now that I think of it, his idea really saved my life back there…” Tanuki whispered, thinking back of the fight with Soup.
The second unlocked trophy was way under the first one. Tanuki had to scroll a lot to find it.
The achievement displayed two blank figurines next to each other. The first held a sword in one hand, bent against his shoulder, and reached out to the other figure, who had two horns on his head and kneeled before the first one.
[ Name: ‘The Forgiving’ ]
[ Conditions: ‘Spare an invading Enemy’ ]
[ Unlocks: ]
[ Pink Flower variants ]

[ 100 Creature Points ]
[ 200 Kingdom Points ]
[ Creature’s Race now available through the #### ]
[ ‘Terrible monster lurks in pink clothes…’ ]
This one was the reward of him accepting Maduka’s surrender. He was still mad about it being treated as a surrender, as Maduka had no choice but to participate in Soup’s war.
She shouldn’t be treated like a loser. Not even by the Gaia Core.
“Still, I wonder… Is there an achievement for not accepting someone’s surrender? What benefits does it bring? And what negatives?”
It seemed like every achievement comes with two unlocks. One is usually good, bringing new effects and mechanics to the world, while the other is a direct consequence of the first one.
“There is always bad in good things and good in bad things. Yin and Yang.”
Weather.
It brings rain, which can water the plants. It brings lightning, which can destroy things in its path.
Too much rain can flood the lands. A lucky lightning strike can destroy the enemy.
“Though I’m not so sure how any of this applies to pink flowers and monsters, maybe I’ll just have to wait.”
Touching the other achievements revealed nothing new. It displayed a [ Locked ] message and sent Tanuki back to the main screen.
Suddenly, he was reminded of something.
“Oh, right. The rewards for the third wave.”
Looking around he couldn’t find anything new. There was no green gift box in the tent, nor did he see any when he looked at the hill and his traps’ remains.
“Did the third box only contain a basic healing spell? That’s a bit of a letdown. Too bad I can’t see what my other rewards were, because I accepted them right before passing out. Huh.” Tanuki sighed loudly.

Surprisingly though, when he looked up, the rewards screen appeared before his eyes. It seems it was that easy to check your previous rewards.
And boy, were there things to check out! The rewards screen was larger than a roadside poster. Tanuki’s eyes glittered with excitement as he read the many rewards.
[ Congratulations! ]
[ Beginners’ Trial: Completed ]
[ Your Gaia Core has Leveled Up! ]
[ ‘Missions’ are now available at the Gaia Core! ]
[ ‘Achievements’ are now available at the Gaia Core! ]
[ You’ve got one new Relic Orb! ]
[ You’ve unlocked the following Tiles: ‘Lake’; ‘Hill (Rocky Variant)’ ]
[ Rewards available: 3 Expansion Points; Beginners’ Box No. 3. (Consumable ‘Rejuvenation (LvL. Max)’); ‘Token of Soup, Daughter of the Blue Minotaur’]
There were simply just too many things to check out.
“Where do I even begin? Let’s see… I’ve seen ‘Achievements’ and I’ve yet to check out ‘Missions’. But what is a Relic Orb? And woah, new tiles! It says I’ve unlocked a new type of Hill, but is it any better than the grassy one? And three Expansion Points, holy hell!”
There was only one he wasn’t any excited about. When he saw Soup’s name again, a shiver crawled up his spine.
“Token of Soup, Daughter of the Blue Minotaur. A token. Does that mean I can spend this token to summon Soup again? Why would I do that? Why can I do that?!”

From beyond The Veil
Witnesses say that the angels blaze appeared back in the eighties. A dazzling light ripped through the sky all across the world. People say they saw a rainbow of colors bathing the sky. It was gone in a instant. Some legends say that it was an angel falling from the sky. But most scholars agree that it was a rare comet. They all were wrong. The light was a breaking of the veil, the veil to my world. Now creatures from my side of the veil are breaking through and it's my job to keep them back and protect all the humans. But I tend to like to watch the chaos.

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead.It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them.The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.
