《Sovereign of Divinity》Chapter 4.6: The Journey begins

Present Day...
"Are we all ready? Let's go!" I said as the carriage departed from Taberna, on a week long journey to Oppidumpeladus, the capital.
"I wonder how long Shem's sleep will last..." said Krog as he stares of into the distance.
I has been nearly 2 weeks since the incident, and Shem still hasn't woken up and although I don't show it, to keep Krog calm, even I am getting worried about her recovery. Her state is what one could compare to a coma. She is in the state between life and death! Checking up on her periodically, I have learned one thing, is that nothing is wrong with her physical body. Even her mana is filled to capacity. The only thing out of place, is the fact that all her mana is completely still. As thought the one commanding it is missing. From this I learned that there is definitely something controlling our mana subconsciously, to move around our bodies in a slow rhythmic flow, similar to the flow of blood. Anyway, this is all I can do with my current abilities, so I must improve my strength.
Currently, we are on a carriage, headed to Auexit, the town of mercenaries and adventurers. I is located about 2 days from Taberna, and 4 days away from the capital.
"So," I asked the coachman, "what happens when we reach Auexit?"
"Nothing much, we just need to refill our supplies, and then join up with the rest of the caravan, before departing for the capital."
Slipping him two silver coins, I asked him further, "Is there anything we should know about Auexit or the caravan?"
"Ah, yes of course there is my dear customer. Everything has a price after all. The town has a rule that forbids any sort of fighting within the wall. So make sure not to make any trouble, else We will be stuck there for up to a week, just to get you out! Also, the rule does not apply underground, so beware of people trying to take you underground. And that is it about the town. Also, you can register as an adventurer at the age of seven at the capital, if you are seven that is, my customer."

"Yes" I said unhurriedly
"About the tavern, you should be fine as long as you remain in this carriage, and don't speak with anybody. But if you must, then beware of the 'Scavenge Hunters'. A ruthless bunch of phsychos, who can go to any lengths to complete a mission, even sacrificing their own! That bunch gives me the creeps! It's best to stay away from them... Ah! I also heard that a powerful magician will be joining us during the trip from Auexit to the capital! That would be one relaxing trip! Hehe."
"Hmm, worth the money."
"Thank you customer! I also have to add, for legal reasons that your safety cannot be guaranteed through any of the trips or stops by me. Please take care of yourself!"
"Ha, don't worry about that! my brother here killed a level 2 mage back in Taberna. He was supposed to be a guard of - mmphmm" I gaged his mouth before he could say anymore, and slipped another silver coin to the carriage driver "Could you kindly forget what just happened?"
"Ah, what are you talking about. Nobody said anything!" He nodded as he turned back to the road, and we continued our journey.
The 'Scavenge hunters' he said? I remember adding those troublesome fools to my army, during my dark campaign. But I had to have them killed, because those idiots were sending my men on suicide missions in order to complete the missions I gave their team. Sometimes, they would use my men as bait to lure beasts out into the open, or to infiltrate the enemy bases and plant bombs, as a distraction for assassination missions. Let's just stay away from them.
...
After two day of travelling at first light and setting up camp during night, we finally reached Auexit. Along the way, we did encounter some wild dogs, and the odd goblin group, but nothing too serious. I didn't know what would sell well in Auexit, so I took everything that wouldn't rot, while cooking the food using flame mana, without letting it manifest as flames. This way, only heat would be released as heat and not flames ,thus not burning sown the carriage along the way.

Mr Carriage driver was also surprised by my skills in cooking, I am after all a 9 year old child! What he doesn't know is that I have been cooking food at home since I was 10, till the time I died, about 9 years later.
[SM: wolves in Nezreal are called wild dogs, because what they call wolves are 3 meter tall and 5 meter long abominations of wolves!]
Anyways, we were here, at Auexit, finally!
