《Powertrip》Chapter 4

"How the hell do you make a Scythe though?" Sure I get the basic principles, a long stick with a curved blade right? How long? And how curved? Even small details like these matter on the battlefield. Of course I'm not going to die either way but I want one that feels right in my hands.
"Just what would you do without me master? Watch a professional at work" Aiko said smugly.
In front of my eyes I saw a piece of art, well at least as close as a weapon can get to art. Pitch black and 2 meters long it took my breath away.(do vampires need to breath? It did say I only need blood...) along the shaft of the weapon it was engraved with thorns, looking both badass and serving as an effective grip. Blood can get VERY slippery. It was the right thickness so that it was comfortable to hold yet big enough to apply force. The blade was quite thick and feeling the edge I noticed it was dull, guess we're going with raw strength.
"I'm already in love with it, any cool features?"
"Besides the no slip grip I decided to let you do the finishing touches."
"Hmm... it has to be something cool... how about we make it so that it absorbs the blood of the opponent and uses that to either help the host or strengthen itself."
"That should be easy to do however, if you want something even cooler you could put a will into the blade and make it sentient. Then it'd be like fighting with I partner, I think you need one as you tend to get backstabbed."
"Look through my memories ey? That was only in the beginning, the... euphoria, of my first few kills was... overwhelming to say the least. You are right though, I tend not to be the most careful fighter."
"A careless Serial Killer .sigh. just how were you not caught? Any way if you want that sentient weapon just drop some blood on it."
"Haha. I was a careless fighter, but when it came to murder I was quite good with cleanup that really all you need, no leads no Killer simple as that." I put my wrist in my mouth and bit down.
Instead of a few drops what looked like an entire gallon of blood splashed on the blade. weird. while the wound was quite bad the blood was practically gushing out, maybe a vampires compressed blood? It'd let you carry a whole lot more and if it was dense enough it'd be like natural armour. I guess I have a lot more to learn about vampires.

While Allen was pondering on his newfound abilities the Scythe was taking in the blood as if a sponge. As it was absorbing it's first meal a white porcelain hand appeared from no where and let a single droplet of it's blood fall on the weapon. The blood was pure white.
"Now that my blood and yours mixed all you have to do is to feed it, luckily a party of degenerates happen to be passing bye."
"So that's your body? At the very least you finished a arm. That can wait though, could you please point me in the right direction? My companion is not the only one who is... famished... yes that's the word, I guess normal food isn't enough for a vampire, figures."
"30 degrees clockwise, have fun."
"Come on Guys! We got some Mofos to gank." Without waiting for Rachel or Kayla he charged to the Mainland to kill his newest victims.

"'Ey Mate you sure they something good in that god forsaken island? To small to colonize and that bitch Iron slut won't let local thugs like us use it as a hideout." muttered a Scruffy man who screamed the word PICKPOCKET
"Shut up Jerry, I'm the leader and if I hear you insult the queen again i'll kill you myself." Spoke a gruff man with a scar along his nose
"Come on Tom she ain't Queen yet, besides you got me so why have a crush on some stupid demon? I bet she looks like an ogre too, it's what the rumors make her out to be." Said a women who while having a butter face, still had a body that could be called a solid 7/10
"Not you too Ray? I don't have a crush on her either, I'm not in love I'm terrorfied, ol' Pete spoke bad about her and he was a corpse the next day, sides she WILL be queen, so you might as well get used to calling her that."
*snicker* "if this is an example of a devote subject, I'll start to think you're the bad guys." Spoke a voice from a tree
"WHOSE THERE? SHOW YOURSELF!" Yelled Tom, he was however, ignored.
"Hey now! You can't judge My Master with the slum of society, besides he's not devote he's AFRAID."
"Agreed, I do not view him as a citizen of my rule, simply a parasite. And I don't kill people who disagree with my rule, unless they get in the way, the man referred to as Pete was probably a criminal like them. I have an Anti-criminal program you know? They go town to town killing the local underground that the governors and Mayors put up with."

"Geez I didn't want a lecture about your policies concerning lowlife, I was just bringing up the point that dictators rule by fear, as such he'd be a devote subject, even If by technicality."
By now the trio was red faced bordering on purple. If looks could kill, well then they'd be a Trio of supervillains called "bug eyes" but alas, they were simply bandits, or cutthroats, maybe even pirates they WERE near water, you'd have to ask for their preferred pronouns.
"You bes' get down 'er, unless you want me to drag ye down."spit bug ey- Jerry as he looked around for the voices.
"I think they're pirates, that or they have no education."
"Nah believe it or not Pirates are far more noble and street smart then this, they had to be because of our navy right miss?"
"Indeed, calling them pirates would be an insult to the name, at least pirates have enough common sense to run away from three unknown voices that are clearly apathetic to their threats."
"Wha' you on about Bi-"
A cloud passed across the Sun bringing darkness to the forest, a light breeze was their only warning as a light hidden by the shade flashed and cut Jerry's head off.
"I was able to hold my peace for the first time out of respect for my Master's Companion however, No one. NO ONE. Insults my Queen twice."
"Haha. Well ain't that sweet? This is why you're my most trusted confidant you know? Although I'm not queen yet." whispered Kayla into Rachel's ear.
"While that's cute and everything, I thought you said I could kill them?" smiled Allen as he watched the affection.
"I-I'm sorry mister Allen, I lost my temper but the other two are your's."
"Don't worry about it, while I do enjoy the kill, right now I just need the blood." "Oh yeah. You guys don't have to hide your relationship from me either, while I don't know about here, where I come from same sex marriage is normal and common." well, most places it is.
"H-huh? H-how'd you know? I thought we hid it quite perfectly?"
"Well my dear Rachel, although humans-excuse me, demon's can hide their emotions quite well they can't repress their micro expressions without some VERY rigorous training, I happen to be quite good at reading those expressions" from practice "plus with my vampiric powers I can actually SEE them not just FEEL them. you should be mindful, our subconscious dictate much more than you would assume. Anyway, I should attend to our guests before they scurry off."
While they were discussing the trio, now duo were paralyzed with fear, not like running would have helped. They were as good as dead after all.
As light as a feather Allen floated down with supernatural Grace. Without so much as a crunch he landed, then disappeared, before they could even be confused he already held them up. Ray by an impaled stomach and Tom by a snapped neck, that, made a crunch. As if alive the blade quickly absorbed all of the woman's blood until there was only shriveled up skin. Droping it as if garbage he stabbed Tom through the chest with the blade too.
"Damn. You even eat the bones? Hardcore. Using you feels like drinking through a straw though."
"Sorry"
"Ah, you most be my newly made companion. What is your name if I may ask? And don't worry about being called a straw since I actually enjoy the experience, having to work for the beverage makes it taste better AND last longer."
"None"
"As I guessed, what should I name you?" Staring down at the engravings on the handle he couldn't help but smile. "Rose. Yes Rose, that will be your name."
"Rose?"
"Yep, quite fitting is it not? Extremely beautiful(for a Scythe) yet with a deadly bite, thorns."
"Beautiful? Thorns?"
In his palm the black metal started to heat up until it was searing. Instead of recoiling with pain however Allen merely stared with interest at the weapon. It quickly got hotter and hotter until it was white hot. On the engravings the thorns changed to include roses and at the top of the weapon, where the staff and the blade meet, metal started to twist and turn until it shaped itself into what resembled a crown of roses. After the transformation the Weapon started to quickly cool down, instead of returning to it's original color it instead became a mix of black and heated red, as if a rose had implanted itself inside the Scythe.
"Unbelievable Master, you actually managed to give your weapon a personality, not just consciousness, and with simply a name to boot! If the people of this world whose technique I borrowed to create her knew this they'd spit blood!"
"So even the greats steal idea's from others? Not like I'm any better though since I plagiarized a book report to pass college, all that's not important though since I'm still thirsty, right Rose?"
"Hungry" agreed the blade.
As such the pair terrorized the local thugs and bandits (no one else would be in these outskirts) the two maniacs were followed by a pair of women blushing and holding hands.
Quite a strange picture it painted all added together

The 48 Laws of Power in Practice
Discover how power works in the world, through true stories and real-world applications. In the game of power, we all play - as either conscious or unconscious players. So we can't afford not to know the rules. The ** chapters have the most outrageous content. In each chapter, I will be summarizing one of the laws and how it can be applied to current events and pop culture. Some of you have told me the stories are what you enjoy the most. They are real, raw, and anonymous so that others may learn from my mistakes. There will be cringe-worthy stories of self-sabotage, but perhaps also some unlikely triumphs. Some of the details are changed to protect the innocent, (or perhaps guilty). "The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene illustrates truths about power, through philosophy and lessons from three thousand years of history, which still hold true today. There is a lot to learn from each chapter. I encourage you to go on this journey with me by reflecting on how each law might apply to you. Together, may we learn from the past and take control of the future.
