What‽ So if I understand this correctly, it was just about to wipe my memory? Then there was an error so my memory isn't wiped but it says it is? So now I'm going through the karma, which is the sum of all the good and bad you've done in life.

...Well.... I guess, it could be worse. So this is a summary of all the stuff I've done through my life. I expected that I would have more bad things due to the bus-jackings. But I didn't expect it to come out like this, quantified and easy to understand.

I apparently dealt more damage to nature than I took care of it though. Surprising but I can accept that, I didn't really have a green thumb. I was more focused on how things worked ever since I was a kid, I even spilled bleach on the flowerbed once.

I can also accept stealing and cruelty are more than zero. Even murder being bigger than my total positive by almost three times is understandable, the whole bus-jacking is definitely the source of all that, if not, most of it.

But Taboo? Domain Damage? What even are those? And I got a negative equal to my murder value for rushing the system? That is utter bullshit! Do you expect me to just stay here waiting for you to analyse my life. I wish the system didn't show me the results and just got on with the reincarnation instead of showing me how badly I messed up.

So, let's see, pick my race? So I could be like a turtle or zebra or something? Although, I guess, if this is another world, races from earth won't be an option. I guess I won't be human then. But how do I make my choice? Do I wait for the options to come? Do I make a choice without any options? I don't even know what races there are so I don't think it's that. Do I will it forward with my thoughts? The karma analysis sped up when I wanted it to, so it's worth a shot.

Really? The second I think it, it moves on! This fucking, blue screened, nonsensical... Wait a second. Why am I getting so angry? I wasn't like this before. Could that giant have done something to me? Or is it the fact that I have no body mean that my emotions are harder to control? Either way, I should stay calm and not nitpick on the system for this until I'm done.

I have over a hundred races to pick from, although I don't want to be some kind of demon or zombie, sadly they take up a majority of the options I have. It's a shame all the cool sounding families have zero races to choose from, like ancient and celestial? Could the results be related to my karma? That would explain all the demon and undead options, at least a little bit. But I think I should have some of the good races as options, right? I did have a love karma of over 10,000, I should at least get some kind of good hearted family.

Moving on, I'm guessing I have to use my thoughts to select a family, but I don't know what races are available. Not to mention that I might not be able to select a different family afterwards. Draconic looks kinda cool but there are only four options, and they might all suck. Beast looks like the safest option, probably has wolves and other mammals, or the equivalent if mammals don't exist. Both insect and mollusc families have roughly the same amount of options as the beast family, but I don't like the idea of being a bug or a slug.

That is quite a varied selection. Although, some seem to be part of another family, as well. I guess I have less options than I thought. Alrosia is probably a place in this new world, if the names of three of the races are to indicate that. It's strange that the races have names of animals from Earth in them, but it clearly won't be Earth I'll be reincarnating on. At least I know this now.

From the grades given, I assume that the closer to A the better the race is. Though better in what, is still unclear. It may be strength, life expectancy, or even intelligence. It could be something completely different, but based on scalehound and hellhound both being grade H, I'd wager that it's one of those three possibilities.

I should try and find out if I can select a different family before I make my choice. If scalehound is any indication I think draconic might be a fun family to look at. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get back to the selection.

... I lost to my anger again. If I could physically sigh right now, I would. I lost all but one draconic, I have no avian species left, and that shady mystery family is still there. If that race is part dragon I'll pick it, but otherwise I won't. I won't risk losing my last draconic on removing that. If only I could have looked at them all at once, I wouldn't have made the stupid mistakes I made.

...Well, I guess I should have tried that at the start. So I only have four races left to choose from now? Why wasn't there a guide to... make it easier to adapt! That white giant said something about that, does that mean I don't get that, even though I was forced into this? Fuck, now I get it! That white bastard must have messed with the system so that I get the worst possible race! I should think these races through carefully, so I don't fall into his ploy.

Let's start with Slime. I don't think I want to be one of... whatever it is. It sounds like I'd just be a lump of slime that moves, why would anyone want that? It sounds worse than being a mushroom, and it seems like it's something which could do nothing.

What about Kobold? It has both reptile and draconic families so it sounds decent, though it seems worse than the scalehound, it does seem the most tempting of the four races. But it is also one I have no idea what it is. It could be like what I assume the scalehound would be, just a normal animal with dragon powers

Now for Dungeon. I honestly have no idea if that one is even a good idea. It reeks of danger, its grade is a dash. And what the hell is a dungeon anyway? I know that a dungeon tends to be another word for a prison that's underground. so how would I live as something like that?

Last but not least is the spotted gold-eye pike. Honestly, it sounds rare, almost like an endangered species, which could be risky depending on why it's endangered. Although that was just speculation, even if it isn't endangered I would still be living as a pike, which would mean I'd be living underwater for the rest of my life. Not that I don't like swimming or anything like that, but would I really be able to stand living without feet or walking on land or being able to cook foods? It seems to have the highest grade, if I exclude dungeon, so it may be a good idea.
