《Rise of the Human Emperor》Chapter 2 - Disaster

As soon as the brightness of the world came back, many small cracks appeared all over Ottawa. Near the enormous crack, scary roars sounded as different monsters came from.
Courageous scientists tried to approach them, madness flashing in their eyes. Alas, reality is often very disappointing, as one of these monsters that seemed to be a blue-scaled Lizard instantly appeared in front of a scientist. Its paw was raised high, and as it descended, the scientist's head flew away.
''AAAAH!'' Screams of despair sounded all around, as more blue-scaled Lizards around 3 meters in height, and bodies as long as two meters, poured out of the crack. The bright radiance of red blood poured down over the ground, dying the earth with a faint red luster.
Headless bodies fell to the ground with a puff, blood gushing out continuously. Some were even ripped in half, then eaten. The scene was transmitted by a reporter that was soon killed, and the entire world fell silent.
White House, United States of America.
''Immediately call the military! This is a disaster!'' The president saw the scene and felt horrified. If these cracks could spread, what if it spreads up to all the world? It would be an utter, complete disaster!
''He is in the line, President.''
''Good. Mr. Ron, this a situation of complete disaster, if these beasts can spread to the whole world, we wouldn't be able to do anything! No matter what, this must be destroyed before it can spread!'' The president said with panic being clearly felt in his tone.
''But sir, what about the citizens of Ottawa? This could possibly cause a disastrous war!'' The General of the Armies couldn't help but say, he was also deeply scared of these monsters that suddenly appeared. They were incredibly fast, and very strong.

They also heard the strange voice, it told them that from now on, the weak would be prey to the strong. As if he made a hard decision, the President immediately said, ''It doesn't matter! As long as this doesn't spread, the sacrifices will be worth it!''
''As you wish, then.'' The General of the Armies nodded heavily before touching a few digital buttons. He was going to send an Atomic Bomb to Ottawa, and no hesitation could be felt from his decisive movements.
Suddenly, his heart shook as the General of the Armies said in a trembling voice, ''Sir, I have a report!''
''What is it now? Just do it!''
''Sir, the Atomic Bombs turned to ashes as soon as they were launched!''
The same situation occurred in other high-level countries like China, England, etc. While not as decisive and ruthless, they were going to send missiles. It was soon discovered that any kind of explosive, from the worst to the best, none of them worked!
''This is a disaster, a complete disaster! Send our soldiers, guns are still working, we must stop this!'' The strongest countries immediately decided through a video conference.
Canada, Ottawa.
Three small cracks appeared on the agglomeration of mansions that Haize lives at. A few strong roars reverberated around. Many blue-scaled Lizards, white-skinned Bears, and a strange-looking, four-legged monster with a horn on the middle of its forehead poured out of each crack.
On his mansion, Haize's mind shook after seeing the images on the TV, and hearing the roars all around. He quickly led Lyse to his room, before tapping on the wall a few times, ''Brother, what the hell is this? You got a hidden basement I don't know?''
Haize sighed heavily before saying, ''I didn't want to introduce you to this, because different from me, I wanted you to live your teenage years in happiness. I guess the time has finally come.''

A room suddenly opened from the wall, and stairs leading to an underground room appeared. As they got to the room, different kinds of guns, bullets, and knives were presented in their view.
''Wha-? What the hell, bro? You actually had these cool things hidden in your hidden room?!'' Lyse was about to shout, but Haize quickly covered his mouth. In the past, he had read many apocalypse novels, and while different from reality, Haize was always an adaptable person.
Staring at his younger brother, Haize sighed while massaging his forehead, ''It was too soon for you to enter this world, Ly. Now, you'll be forced to join it in order to survive, I know that you've read apocalypse novels, you took that good taste from me, after all.''
''To put it bluntly, we will now rely on ourselves to survive in a new world.'' Haize said in a calm tone. Truth to be told, he felt a bit of fear towards the apocalypse that was coming, he heard perfectly that the voice said they can evolve. This means... The boring normal world would be different from now on.
Lyse listened to his brother with a blank face, as Haize continued, ''Take this Glock 18, it's suitable for your use. I hope you didn't forget the training I gave to you on these stands, this will be important. Also, take this dagger, it was made by one of the best forgers, Ein Halley.''
Looking at the many guns, Haize knew that he could only take the most practical ones to use. He took a Desert Eagle 50, and loaded it with .50 AE ammunition, while putting some on his clothing. A beautiful, and sharp Katana was held by his right hand, then put on his back after he sheathed it.
''Holy crap, brother! You were preparing for an apocalypse or something, dude? This is crazy, crazy good! Man, you should've told this to me sooner!'' Lyse was very excited, but Haize wasn't that much. Suddenly, two growls came from upstairs, and his face changed.
''Now isn't the best time to talk!'' Haize said before pressing a button, as a passage to their garage appeared, many high-end cars were put here. Just as the passage opened, a white-skinned bear about three meters tall crashed down, along with it a strange-looking, four-legged, horned creature.
Haize's expression changed, his golden-colored eyes shone with a cold color, as if he became a killing machine. Staring at his younger brother, who trembled after seeing the two creatures, he said, ''Ly, at the corner, you'll see a button. After pressing it, a small room will appear, hide on it till I say you can come out.''
As if affected by Haize's cold eyes, Lyse quickly did it. Two monsters stared at Haize, red-colored eyes filled with murderous intent locked him, but Haize also stared at them without fear.
The two monsters looked at each other before giving a low growl, as if to say that Haize was their prey. Neither of them gave up, and so a fight broke out. Haize's eyes shone as this happened, 'I'm usually the one who takes initiative in this kind of fight to death. But today...'
Today, he was going to be a fisherman.
