Hers was a voice I’d say was true purity. She was the only thing I had ever known as something pleasant. Hearing that blessed voice saying my name, I turned to see her. Cassie, with no last name that I knew of, was running to me. I didn’t bother to meet her halfway as she had been speeding down the sidewalk and stopped just enough not to knock me down, but enough to stumble into my arms. She looked up and smiled, her face was nearly glowing as she spoke.

“The Human World is so much bigger now that I’m seeing all of this! Cities, towns, buildings? It’s so diverse and so well constructed!” I felt myself wanting to smile.

“Well you only knew the woods, of course seeing this would amazing you.” My words were blunt, but as my nature told: it had to be that way. Though nothing I could ever say to her would be cause for harm, she either knew that very well or honestly couldn’t tell how rude I was actually being for she continued her bright smile to me. She was a beautiful girl with an even more beautiful life… But it wasn’t as if I would ever let her know that, I won’t let it get to her head.

“Well can we go and see more things?”

“Why else would I have brought you here?” She grabbed my hand.

“I don’t know, you do things all the time that don't make sense to me, I wouldn’t be surprised if we just left and did nothing.”

“Good thing words don’t kill.” She turned to look at me confused.

“I’m sorry?”

“It’s nothing, just another idiom.” She nodded.

“Right… Like raining cats and dogs?” Her association was interesting, but…

“Yes, like raining cats and dogs.” She was praising herself over the correctness of the answer. As we walked, I couldn’t help but notice how out of place we were. We had begun walking and the sidewalk was getting a bit busier.

I was glad Humans weren't able to see our true forms, but I just wonder, how would the world react if they could see us? How would they have reacted seeing us together? An Angel with a Demon, taking a stroll down the neighborhood sidewalk…
