《Saer Servitude》Chapter 113

Darius hurried to his room when night fell. He could not convince himself that it wasn’t Wernh'An's eye. Darius had got the same feeling when he had looked straight at Wernh'An's face. Throughout the day he had heard no word from Uzmaen like everyone in the palace. Darius looked down of his window. There now was a big tent covering the yard underneath to stop bird excreting on decorations. Getting a chance to send a fire raven had never been so risk free before. He took the quill, but when its tip stroked the paper, one thought hit him – He has Lord's eye. Lord may not even be in Hilcaste so I have not got a work back from anyone in there. Darius ditched the greeting part of the letter. Now he had a difficult choice to make on whom to send the letter. Ser Angus or Counselor Padraig. For how long will I keep doing this? I can get the new servant killed. He corked the inkpot. Darius thought of the weapon he never had imagined he would have to use. _ Everywhere Saer needed to go, he had a pass for it. Trays, buckets, mops, sacks. Mop was his favorite among all. He could observe routes inside the castle while holding it. With so many people gathering, he got plenty of stains to clean. He already had mapped the palace in his mind, but he was not free of distractions. He had to sneak into light works only by escaping the head squire, who behaved like a circus master. Saer was pretty sure he was calling his name somewhere. Saer could take twenty lashes of this opportunity. He had discovered the place from where he would be able to capture Rikilda in the vessel. Way to privy was the place with fewest guards. One man standing infront of privy held no weapon and wore no armor. He had a handkerchief in his hand where he would dig his face in whenever he sneezed. The man did not see Saer observing lock. Two iron clubs were leaning on both sides of the passage along with club holders affixed firm on the wall. His confidence took a hit after realizing how strong the holder was. Saer took the escape tool from his pocket and waited. When the man was not looking in his direction, he ran its blade in the gap of joining point and the wall. The swipe weakened club holder. Saer assumed a simple shove would be enough to displace the rod from its location. It was not going to be believable as an error caused by rusting. But it was going to assist him in kidnapping Rikilda and to avoid suspicion on him, most of all. Privy door clanked open and the king came out adjusting his trouser. "How are you doing, your highness?" the man held his sneeze. "My stomach was burning with lime." King said, "Now I feel sober enough." Servant sneezed, grossing King Lacroix. "Blocked nose?" asked the king after looking at his face. The servant nod then sneezed. He did not stop till he had done so thrice. "You there." King Lacroix pointed at Saer, "Smell the dump I have left and report to my doctor."

The Merchant Prince Book 1: Returning Home
Enter a world of deceit and assassins. Augustus DeCastellian is a member of a wealthy merchant family, with ports all over the known world. He is sent on a voyage to new lands to open trade routes, but when he returns he will need to fight, using his tools of manipulation and cunning, for what he is owed.Author's note: This story is somewhat slow-paced, especially in comparison to the norm on Royal Road. The first three chapters act almost as a prologue, to give you a feel for what the rest of the story will be like. So, I suggest new readers try to get to the end of chapter 3 before deciding if this story is for them.A few of my reviews have said that this story is abnormal for Royal Road. I agree with that sentiment, at least based on what I've read on the site. It was just an idea that was in my head, that I began trying to write once my hobbies were cancelled due to the virus. I found Royal Road after I started writing it. Honestly, it's probably not even tailored for the web-novel format. But it's the story I wanted to tell. Discord: https://discord.gg/sk63gep
