Las maderas principales eran de color rojo y las manchas en la madera roja tenían un color celeste. Los libros en la estantería eran muy diversos y no tenían un patrón en particular, algunos parecían mágicos y otros normales.
Siguiendo las instrucciones detalladas por su padrino, Adam sacó un cono de papel que decía: 'Un gran idiota'. El joven héroe se colocó el cono en la cabeza y corrió dando brincos por delante de la estantería. Acto seguido, un rostro se formó en la estantería de dos colores y gritó con todo su pulmón:

En la máscara se encontraba la mitad de dos rostros mezclados en el medio. Una de las mitades de la máscara era un rostro sonriente de color rojo, mientras que la otra mitad de la máscara era un rostro llorando de color celeste. Ninguno de los dos rostros tenía ojos o dientes y en su lugar se encontraba una oscuridad infinita en ambos huecos.
Adam se acercó y dijo con felicidad:
—No soy un idiota, mi nombre es Adam.
—Adam...—Comentó la estantería enmascarada, mientras sonreía con sus dos rostros—Tu karma cambio, muy interesante, ¿cómo lo lograste?
Adam se quedó unos minutos en silencio y no respondió, solo miró el rostro y devolvió la sonrisa y la estantería enmascarada se quedó mirando la sonrisa del joven unos minutos.

—Adam...—Dijo la estantería enmascarada, mientras ponía cara triste con sus dos rostros—Eres muy joven, muy interesante, ¿cómo lo lograste?

Adam rápidamente se tapó los ojos y se quedó unos minutos en silencio, sin responder. Entretanto, el rostro se quedó mirando al chico con los ojos tapados.
—Tú no eres Adam...—Dijo la estantería enmascarada con calma, mientras unos dientes afilados surgieron y sonrieron a Adam.
Adam rápidamente se tapó los ojos con una mano y la boca con la otra. Acto seguido, se quedó unos minutos en silencio y sin responder. La estantería enmascarada se quedó mirando al chico con la boca y ojos tapados.
Mientras observaba, la boca de la estantería enmascarada comenzó a crecer hasta llegar a ocupar toda la estantería. Acto seguido, la estantería lanzó un mordisco y devoró a Adam por completo.
Sintiendo la brisa del mar y el ruido de las olas, Adam volvió a abrir los ojos. El joven héroe se encontraba en una isla rodeada de agua. La isla parecía estar completamente desierta y no era muy grande: Adam podía ver los dos horizontes girando sobre sí mismo y en unos pocos minutos el joven podría dar la vuelta completa a toda la isla. La arena de la isla era bastante blanca y en uno de los horizontes podía verse la mitad de un gran sol naranja que iluminaba toda la isla con ese color.
Siguiendo las instrucciones de su padrino, Adam fue al horizonte opuesto a donde se encontraba el sol hasta que el agua de la playa le llegó a sus talones. Posteriormente, el pelirrojo contó 30 pasos en dirección de la isla y comenzó a saltar por la arena por distintas partes de esta zona, tratando de mantener la distancia de 30 pasos con el agua. Adam se pasó unos cuantos minutos saltando y probando en diferentes lugares hasta que finalmente encontró lo que buscaba.
