《Immortal Bloodshed》Chapter 8 | That Was Fast!

The dragon was able to create a larger tunnel out of its nest. This process was hastened by the dragon's claws being bigger but it still took the whole night. After cleaning itself off in the river the dragon was ready to test out flying. It stood at the top of the mountain where its nest was. Spreading out its wings the dragon felt the wind flow around them.
Feeling the wind push its wings up slightly the dragon followed its new instinct. It flapped its wings three times feeling its weight on the ground getting lighter. Focusing on its wings the dragon jumps off the mountain into the sky.
...And it flew! There was no crash or loss of control. With the dragon's instincts in control it slowly got used to flying. The first thing the dragon noticed was its speed. Patches of forest that would have taken half a day to pass instead took a few minutes.
*Rooooarrr!*
The dragon flew over the Karp's pound and let out a mighty rough in excitement. The first of its life. The dragon, now done being thrilled over its speed, had a new desire.
‘I want to go higher and even faster!’
Just as it was about to see how high it could fly the dragon heard a strange noise.
“[email protected]#H^”
All monsters in the forest know to never make too much noise to avoid attracting predators. The dragon, now being the strongest in the forest, didn't need to follow this rule. But it had heard each monster's noise while fighting them and the dragon had never heard this sound before.
“H$#@ &^!”
The dragon flew over to where it heard the sound and with its improved eyesight looked upon the scene from above.
A small creature was being chased by two Giant Turtles. The dragon was surprised by the turtle's speed in chasing the small figure.

[Human Lv10]
As soon as the dragon saw the human its new skill reacted.
[Human form has been acquired by the Polymorph skill.]
The dragon fired a shot of Dragon Breath using Blood Fire at both Giant Turtles. It wanted to test out how effective its new skill would be on the shells of the unkillable turtles. The dragon thought about attacking the human but it really didn't want to hunt something so many levels lower than it. Also if it kept the human alive it could test out some of its new skills on it.
*Hawooo*
*Haaawwwwo*
The dragon landed next to the human that stopped running, kicking up a cloud of dust with its weight. It watched as the turtles roared in pain. They had shrunken into their shell but they could not extinguish the flames that coated their heads and legs.
[Dragon Breath has grown from Lv15->Lv16]
As they died the dragon went to consume its prey's blood before dealing with the human but it realized something horrible. Blood Fire burned blood as fuel. Thus there was no blood for it to gain XP from after killing both turtles. Trying to ignore its displeasure, the dragon studied the human. It was currently shaking and laying on the floor. It must have been the effects of Dragon Fear.
‘I wonder if Dragon Fear would have worked on the turtles?’
It would test that theory later. The dragon noticed the human smelled strongly like flowers, most monsters it meant only smelt of mud and blood. Except for the Karp, it smelt like clear water.
The dragon used polymorph to change itself into the shape of the human.
A red lightly enveloped the dragon as its form shrunk smaller and smaller until it was the same size as the human. The light around it disappeared as the dragon was revealed. Its current form was slightly different from the human. For one it was still taller than the human and its hair was a different color. The dragon currently had long black hair with red highlights reaching its shoulders, its eye color had changed from gold to red.

The human had noticed that the red light vanished and fearfully looked up from its curled up position on the ground.
*Gasp*
“What. The. Fuck!?” said the human.
The dragon didn't notice how the human was inspecting its new form with its eyes or the way its face gained a hint of red. The dragon was currently going through a world ending change in its mind because of its new skill.
[New Language Detected...Processing…]

The dragon was currently having every word ever used in the human language shoved into its head. Up till this point it had only known words from the runes used by the system; it was able to use these runes to think in its mind but not explain its thoughts to any other beings like it.
‘I wonder if I can teach this language to the Karp.’ That was the first thought the dragon had after the flow of information finally ended.
“Um...Excuse me?...”
The trembling voice the dragon heard was able to snap it back to the current situation.
“Can you let me go, Miss dragon?”
The dragon looked at the human...girl?...woman? The dragon didn't know, despite gaining access to the language the dragon was only able to grab bits and pieces of it during the upload. If the word was used the dragon would understand the meaning but until then it would take a long time to fully digest the language humans used.
“Why?” The first word the dragon spoke startled the girl.
“Huh.”
“Why should I let you go?”
“Well...Um... I don't taste very good and I’m very boney.” The girl tried to convince the dragon but she was missing the point.
“You don't understand me. If I let you go will you even be able to get back to your nest intact?”
“Nest? Ah! You mean the village. Hmm” The girl thought about the dragon's words and got distressed. With her broken sword she would most likely not make it back to her village even if the dragon let her go.
“I will escort you back.”
“Really?!” The girl said surprised.
“Yes, lead the way.”
What a joke, if the dragon let the human go so easily how would it be able to understand more of her language. Also this new monster seemed very intelligent since their race had a language to communicate with. There was no comparison at all between the Karp and the human’s intelligence.
The dragon started to follow the human but there was an issue.
[Race has been altered. Dragon Scales and Dragon Strength will function at 1/4th efficiency.]
Weakness, terrible weakness assaulted the dragon. It had not felt so weak since it was a snake before choosing its bloodline. The skill did more than stop functioning; it lowered the dragon stats to match 25% of the state taken from. In its current form the dragon had 11 strength and 7 endurace.
“Is something wrong, Miss dragon?”
“Noo...I'm fine.”
The dragon decided to put up with it. It could not show any weakness in front of the human.
