'You know getting hungry, in the sense of wanting to eat.’
Something like question marks must have appeared in eyes because the questions were written all around my face, I’m sure. I kept on listening
'It's true I didn't expect you to get hungry this quickly, but that's probably it'
No real answers, 'Um, what did you do to me?'
'I killed you and brought you back to life. What does that sound like?'
It left her mouth easily, but her face lost some of its beauty in grief.
'I'm undead?' again the thought went unchecked, jumping from my mouth.
'Yes pretty much, even though your body seems to be a bit confused about it. That mind of yours is as fast as ever'
We were both breathing the stale air. Thoughts rose to the surface of my mind and the clearest was a concern. 'Please, so now I have to eat human flesh?'
She seemed to shrink 'Yes and no, flesh, in general, will be good enough, but humanoid flesh might sate your hunger longer.’
I was giving it all its place, my head in the dirt, gazing at the stars and cursing my self for following her. 'Well, I'm not eating humans'.
I felt her hand touch my leg 'Don't worry I will take care of you, as you take care of me' my gaze from the stars to her made a feeling rise as I saw her smile again. There was a small pause in everything it. She broke it, 'So let me start by getting you some food.' She opened her bag again, pulling a rabbit out of it just like a magician might, this rabbit was dead though...
'I sort of stole this from the kitchen, our hunter caught it this morning, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't tell what happened here to anyone.'

'how, could I ever tell anyone about any of this?' is she joking?
She appeared to be serious in the way she looked at me with that guilt-conscious gaze of hers.
'sure, I won't tell anyone.'
'Thank you, and that's a promise you know. Since we are still in a blood circle.'
This devious b****, any magical circle has a small amount of lingering roque energy. Which love nothing more than a promise to bind to. We were now bonded. In a blood circle of all possible ones. This is ridiculous, how could she be so... Aghh! I don't even have the words for it.
'As you know we are now bonded by faith, bad things happen when you don't hold up to such a promise. You know that, right?'
'I do, but still, that was dirty.'
'I know, had to make sure in some way, and I have a snack for you, so that makes us sort of even.'
My face was grumpier than it would ever be after this moment 'You are way too spoiled'
'Ah there he is, I was wondering why you were so distant, call me Vel again.'

A Long Refrain
September, in the Continuate: For most students living in the Third Division, the month's arrival usually means the start of a new school year. But not so for one particular freshman, whose first month at college seems to never end—literally. Her journey, which starts in the capital city of Somnhaven, will take her across the vast expanse of land once known as Circadia, whose forgotten histories, ancient secrets and eccentric inhabitants could hold the key to discovering the true nature of the loop and the role she herself plays within it. However, the more she learns, the more cruel truths she must face: Will she really be able to handle the awful reality behind the loop, and all that it entails? And will those very same answers she's found be enough to not only break her free from the loop, but to also protect the people she holds dear? (A-and from what, exactly ...?)

Intercessor
"In my defense, I hadn't actually been trying to get hit by a truck." Artemis wakes up alone in a giant futuristic facility with no hint of where she is, how she got here, or what this means. Yet within two weeks, she is shot at with all the guns, a voice is beginning to speak in her head, and she is tormented by a seemingly sentient and possibly trollish space Roomba. Her only hope is Scarlet, another girl who is a complete stranger and almost shot her in the head. Oh, and she has fox ears and a tail. That is possibly worth mentioning. Artemis is not a nerd. She has never heard of the isekai genre, she can't fight worth a damn, and the blue-collar skills she learned at her community college are absolutely useless in a universe where technology is often indistinguishable from magic. She only has one thing going for her: A mysterious ability to interface with highly advanced technology left behind by the Antecessors, the long lost precursor civilization with technology that no one has been able to adequately replicate. Finding herself in a universe where civilizations are locked in an interstellar Cold War, where societies are so stratified that the aristocracy commands fleets of starships while slaves wash clothes with their hands, Artemis decides to run away from it all. She has a ship. She'll find a crew. She'll find a way to make a living at the fringes of civilization, learn how to cope with danger, and survive the affections of a universe where everyone is a cute girl with animal ears and tails. Welcome to Intercessor. AKA Kemonomimi Yuri Space Fantasy. Commissioned by Shaderic. Please leave your sense of shame at the door.
