Moniker tried to open a portal. It failed.[1] Without mana, Moniker couldn't make a portal. Upon closer inspection Moniker noticed a massive sky blue dome with a fake sun. He was in the middle. .Maybe it was keeping the mana away.
"You can even fly without mana! How interesting!"
A women's voice is being broadcast throughout the dome from outside due to some sort of spell. The woman then stated:
"I get to test such an amazing specimen! First test: begin!"
A window appeared.
[Warning! Emergency Quest]
2 enemies with a large killing intent are near you. Kill them to get a reward. If you fail to kill the targets a punishment will occur.
Reward: [Skill]: Aether Boost, 1 Mystery Box, and an appropriate amount of stats.
Punishment: Death
"Kill?"
The was a small flash a large distance away that Moniker saw in the corner of his eye.
"!"
A red flame the area where Moniker once was. Moniker was now high in the artificial sky. An enormous lion was spewing flames from its mouth. It hadn't noticed that Moniker wasn't there yet.
A spiked rock about the size of a basketball hit Moniker in the abdomen at a speed comparable to that of sound. He was knocked out of the sky. A loud 'Thud' could be heard when Moniker fell from several stories high.
Moniker cried out in pain. Shining white blood could be seen oozing from Moniker's gut. A beep sounded off.

Soon a huge wolf clad in rock armor approached Moniker. The wolf growled at Moniker and was ready to pounce on him. However, as so as he was going to, the wolf heard another growl. It was a lion about the same size as him. The wolf seemed to change targets and began to fight with the lion.

Moniker looked at the messages. He then looked at his hand. It was covered in sparkling white blood.
"Kill..."
Moniker had a saddened look in his eyes. He then stretched out his hand out towards the fighting wolf and lion. It appeared as though the rock wolf was winning.
The world seemed to tremble as if it would break apart. The fighting wolf and lion were lifted into the air. The two seemed panicked and were scrambling in the air. The two wailed in pain and exploded as if pushed apart in every direction by some unknown force. It was raining red blood.

Oublivant
Oublivants: a category of dungeons characterised by the antithesis of life, necrosis. "Dungons as a whole tend towards the lethal side when it comes to exploring them; however, an oublivant actively seeks out destruction on a grand scale. No greater example of their deep hatred for life exists than the very first discovery of an oublivant. It was a massive dungeon spanning miles in all directions. It continuously expanded along the surface, so fast you could see it, and left nothing but a scorched, withered wasteland in its wake. Wherever the oublivant resides, nothing but the undead exist, as all living life has been eradicated. Why it is, exactly, the oublivant seem so against life so as to break the passive rule dungeons have is unknown. What is known, however, is that they're a threat that, upon discovery, is to be immediately eliminated." - Archomagus Addiom Onero, Court of VascilNote: This is my first story on royal road. It'd be nice if you were nice... nicely.
