《Supreme Skeleton》Escape(3)

"Fortunately, Kelton wasn't lying, there really is a passageway leading somewhere out of the kingdom," Cale sighed in relief. After a few minutes of walking and passing through hundreds of identical gates, he finally reached his destination.
He didn't know if the Romulus Kingdom did this on purpose, but there was a medium-sized hole right at the end of the passage. Each side of the hole was not covered by any material, leaving it stained. There were no torches either, so the entire path was plunged into darkness.
"Well, it's too late to change the escape route now," Cale said, beginning to march forward at tremendous speed. He had to get away as fast as possible so no one would catch up with him, besides, Fenrir's condition was getting worse.
-
Ten minutes later, Cale stopped. Throughout the entire time, Cale didn't see anything, nor did he hear any sounds, only the soft howls of Fenrir.
"Finally," Cale smiled inwardly.
Looking ahead, bright light could be seen shimmering in the distance. Unexpectedly, Cale also felt gusts of wind falling on his bones, enveloping him in coldness. It was a bizarre sensation, but somehow enticing at the same time.
"Nnn..nnn" Fenrir let out a quiet cry and Cale instantly moved forward, pushing all useless thoughts aside.
The light came closer and closer until Cale finally reached the end of the path. The moonlight reflected off his clear, white bones as Cale looked around.
The whole vicinity was covered in various types of plants and trees, making it nearly impossible to be seen through. Cale's gaze stopped on the tranquil lake off to the side as he moved immediately.
"I am not the best medic, but I'll be sure to help you as much as I can," Cale laid Fenrir on the ground and directly began cleaning his injuries.

"Nnn..." Fenrir's entire body twitched in pain, but Cale didn't care, proceeding to clean the injuries from the inside. After some time, Cale wrapped Fenrir's body with a leaf he found near the lake.
"That's everything I could possibly do, now it's up to you Fenrir," Cale ran his hand over Fenrir's head before picking him back up, "We need to go, it's still dangerous to be in this area."
Without another thought, Cale marched into the forest, disappearing amongst the myriad of trees.
-
"This place should be far enough" After walking through the forest for a few hours, Cale finally settled down on a long tree branch. Fortunately, Cale only encountered a few beasts during the entire walk, and they didn't even bother to look towards the silent skeleton.
"Rest well," Cale said, placing Fenrir on his lap while taking out the box from within the armor. However, after opening it, Cale nearly jumped away in confusion.
The two orbs of light that were supposed to be shining all over the area had disappeared? What the hell is going on here?
'Impossible...do they perhaps disappear after some time and I have to absorb them right away?' Cale guessed, his emotions slowly worsening. He was quite thrilled to absorb their essence, especially that of a guard, but apparently, his excitement was utterly empty.
"At least this notebook didn't disappear," Cale picked up the book, which was slightly torn at the edges, and opened it up, starting to read through it.
Flip!
...This is the diary of Kelton Weaver, the greatest scientist in the entire world. From the start, I want to declare that this is the biggest project in my life and it will shake the whole world! It will change the view of divine powers and begin the creation of the most powerful empire!...

Flip!
...After millions of different experiments, I have finally found a way to successfully extract divine powers from beasts. Of course, it's not perfect yet, but given enough time, I'm sure I'll succeed. Unfortunately, the current method of extraction is extremely slow and requires an enormous amount of resources, as well as hundreds of beasts...
"Eh?" Only when the contents started to become more interesting, the second page seemed to refuse to open? No matter how hard Cale pressed, the page stayed in the same place, not even bulging a bit.
"That's definitely not some coincidence...a restriction?" guessed Cale before tossing the notebook back into the box. It was clear that Cale was unable to open the next page with his current powers, and helpless attempts would only harm the book's condition.
"Perhaps there are more interesting things?" Cale hastily rummaged through the papers in the box with an exceptant heart. Unfortunately, there was nothing that interested Cale enough, only various sketches of weapons and some odd designs.
"How unfortunate," Cale respectfully put everything back in its place and leaned against the tree, looking up at the bright moon in the air.
"I can't believe this is real...I really am a skeleton," Cale sighed once more as he glanced at the blue screen, "Whoever gave me this chance to have another life...Thank you."
Suddenly, an ominous aura formed around Cale as he said, "I will definitely take revenge on the Lulah Kingdom. No...I will take revenge on all of humanity, on those vile creatures who only have greed and cruelty inside their minds!"
"I will destroy everything and start the world from the beginning, build a new era that will not be filled with selfishness, but only love and mutual attraction!" Cale declared as he looked to the sky, his gaze seemingly piercing the heavens itself.
He knew that not all people were evil, but in order for the world to truly be reborn, everything had to be destroyed and rebuilt from the ground up.
Cale was the exact example of someone who had changed because of a vile environment and lack of affection from others, but mostly because of the greed, rules, and even feelings of others.
"Since I have been given this screen and another chance to live....I will surely follow my ambitions and change this world altogether," Cale finished his statement as the aura around him calmed down.
