My mana bolts now increased to do 999 ((550+116)X1.5) which is almost enough to one-shot this guy while only costing 45 mana. I wonder if I can reduce it to 0 after a while letting me use it freely. My little glass sphere has increased to that of a psychics crystal ball at this point.
I tried something I hadn’t thought of before and used Researcher on the different abilities. It gave me a brief rundown of each

Judging by this, I’m terrible at talking to people, not that I was before either but my charisma hasn’t seemed to have increased since I was reincarnated with levels. I suppose that’s what it means to be a monstrous race though, a human would most likely try to kill me or run from me if they saw what I was. But this confirms that my mana and spell damage is based on my intelligence, so I would continue putting those up seeing as Mana bolt is currently my strongest offensive skill. I could summon my Slime symbiote now at least, but only for a minute or I die, I didn’t want to die right now, I know shocker, so I think I’ll hold off on that.

Since night has come, Leo took out the spears again and we got ready. Opening the door to the cell room we heard a few spider lizards talk among themselves. The moonlight was shining right at us and before we took a step out we all needed a second to get used to light again. I kept my cat eyes, which made it take a bit longer to get used to the amount of light. After heading up a few stairs we got back to normal ground level and looked around.
No one was watching this area and most people seemed to be sleeping in their spider silk home, only a couple of guards watching out into the forest in the back of the village. These guys didn’t appear to have night vision from what Lio told me, speaking of which, looking at him, he was blind. Of fucking course I chose the one ally that was blind. He appeared to have a strong sense of smell however and was sniffing all around, I secretly hoped I didn’t smell too bad, I hadn’t bathed in a couple of days so most likely.
We took a few steps in the direction the guards weren’t watching and I used a nail to cut the spider silk.
“How did you cut our silk with your meagre strength? The spear isn’t so strong? And you leave behind a strong smell, similar to the most potent alcohol only we have access to” Leo asked
It was my Ignore mortal matter skill, but I couldn’t tell him that so I thought quickly and answered “ I use potent acid to coat my claw, I was born with a resistance to the substance so I use it to help me corrode what I attack”
Deception 2 -> 3
“Hmm, I suppose you’re more resourceful than I realized. I haven’t been much outside the village so I’ll need to follow your lead, I’ll be able to warn you of any incoming enemies” Leo answered confidently. And I didn’t want to doubt him, he was still better than I was in terms of instinct and surviving in the forest even if he was blind so I didn’t have a choice.
After going away from the village I noticed Para was having enough with just walking, panting heavily with each step. I needed her to focus on showing us the direction of the goblins though so I took initiative. Looking up at Leo I said “Hey Leo, give Para a ride so we can speed up a bit, It would slow us down even more if I do it with my size”

“... to be reduced to a ride. I wish this day to be over quickly and that your promises of power are truthful. Your punishment if not is increasing with each demand” he said while offering up his back to Para
She looked at him warily not sure what he wanted “It’s ok, I need you to show us the way but by the looks of it, you aren’t able to do that in your state. So Leo offered to let you sit on his back so you could focus on that” I know I lied again, but it’s better if she thinks of him as kind instead of being afraid all the time. Leo didn’t make it easy though as he was frowning at her with his head turned, becoming impatient.
Para got up on his back and caught her breath before she opened her mouth panting while saying “ Before we return you promised to help me get healed! I won’t show you the way until then…”
I had forgotten about that… It wasn’t a lie either, I still remembered items that helped cure diseases after I tried and failed to become a pharmacist. The debt of my mistake ate away at my budget every month. But I didn’t know of any of these plants, so I wouldn’t even know where to start. But a promise is a promise, I had the Researcher skill so maybe I could figure something out from analyzing a bunch of plants, after while we found a safe place to camp for a few days. “Sorry, I had forgotten, but you’re right, a promise is a promise after all. Do you know of any safe spots in the area we can use to rest and gather the necessary ingredients in the meantime?”
She sent a sad smile back “It’s ok. I still don’t expect you to be able to fix something the goblin Heads couldn’t. I know of a cave South of here. Head straight right of where the moon rises” after telling us that she fainted from the exhaustion, it appeared breaking out of prison took its toll on someone.
I told Lio the direction to head in and we started walking out of the forest and back into the jungle. In the end, we didn’t find the cave and weren’t able to wake up Para again so we put up a makeshift camp where I used some larger sticks and lots of leaves to make a tent of leaves.
Architect 1 -> 2
-5% time for creation, amount of material and effort related to planning and building any form of Shelter
In the end, I put some dirt over my creation, hoping it would add some camouflage, after a few trials and errors I made a thin sheet of compact dirt, which had the added effect of insulating it a bit. Leo put Para down in the tent and decided to stand watch.
Lying in the tent I went through some of the strange things recently, I wondered who the Light being Ethra inside me that let me use magic was, if it came from a different planet or if it was a being made of magic, it hadn't spoken to me for the last days. Mostly because after the first few protest of how I used her magic, she decided to not answer any questions until I stopped, which of course I couldn't, the EXP gains are too good!. Next was the other voice inside of me that called me mother, I guessed that it was my creation from my previous life, it didn’t answer me since it helped me out fighting the DayBirds, so until I’m able to talk to it again I won’t be able to confirm my theory.
After that, I wondered what planet I was on, after all as I’ve noticed several times, the climate and fauna was nothing like what I have experienced on earth, none of these monsters either and it seemed like the spider lizards and goblins had been here a while, which would have been huge news normally, and it hasn’t been that long since the Program notifications came… That was another thing, how long was I dead before program 8 revived me. For me, it felt like both an eternity and like no time had passed at all, I didn’t carry a concept of time. So I couldn’t tell if it’s been millions of years and I just now came to, or if I was on another planet or an entirely different plane of existence.
Reasoning 2 -> 4

All these questions raced inside my head until I was too tired to ponder anymore. And I fell asleep
I hope that for once, I can wake up in this jungle and not get attacked. The jungle however Is without mercy

The Sorcerer's Apprentice
A world where magic must be hidden from mankind is a world where mages have no reason to exist. Zara was one of them--a young woman forced to spend her days in confinement, to lessen the risks of outsiders discovering the truth. She was not human. She was, as they say, a living embodiment of a thousand year old curse upon the Kingdom and humanity as a whole. And the only way to handle a curse is to get rid of it--which is precisely what the Kingdom had been doing for centuries--eliminating any being that contained even an ounce of enchanted blood. Zara has lived most of her life with the threat of death hanging over her head, though it never averted her heightening curiosity about magic, nor the abilities innate within her. And when a powerful, enigmatic Sorcerer comes to her with a proposition, Zara finally sees her chance to embrace the curse she was born with. It was a chance laced with precarity and destruction, but a chance nonetheless...

At year 3021, Akino Kylei, a detective, and Alexa, her adopted daughter, got caught in a huge explosion of unknown origin. The next thing they knew was they woke up in a huge room full of empty ‘seed pods’ looking structures. Much to their surprise, their bodies have turned into something else and the world they knew became deserted ruins covered in alien flora and fauna, with no single human shadow to be found. Investigating further, the detective and her daughter discovered that one million years have passed since the explosion they got caught with, the whole world has turned into a highly radioactive environment, and a strange stationary ‘void’ appeared below the north star Polaris. The two accidentally went into the void, finding themselves in a strange world, and as they begin surveying that world, they saved a demi-wolf named Lyka from some attacking 'knights'. Lyka thanked the two otherworldy humans by going in a pact between them, and so the three embarks on their journey. Lyka guides Akino and Alexa in her world called 'Elyn', becoming adventurers, and resolving many conflicts. They travelled in that world and experiences many things, all the while slowly discovering some vague information about the so-called Institution, a secretive organization from Akino and Alexa's world, and has left considerable amount of evidences of their existence in Elyn, leading to more questions as to what really happened on that day the Earth was wiped-out.

Magikind
Disclaimer: This is a low-fantasy, soft-sci-fi genre. In fact, it's a variety of genres, so don't be too put off by the tags Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some humans refused to change or adapt along with them. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought to be extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society between Eurasia, Afro-Australian Alliance and The Americas. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin enters the Eurasian army. From there, our journey unfolds. A story of how mankind could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. PS.
