《Sanctity of Blood》Chapter 04 : I want a very good answer

"Ahahaha...I succeeded. Level 6 purif..." Said Drake before he fainted due to extreme exhaustion. Four white crystals fell on the ground at the same time as him.
The Dragon corpse now looked desiccated.
The young woman's Nascent Soul then flashed and instantly appeared before the four white crystals and took them. She then ran towards her mangled body.
She fed one of the crystals to her body and then waited.
Immediately after being fed the white crystal, the body started healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
It was like a rebirth. Impurities, a black goo like substance, were even coming out of her pores.
The young woman's Nascent Soul then entered her body.
"It even heals and strengthens the soul..." She thought as she felt the changes to her soul. If that energy kept healing and strengthening her body and soul, she could reach the late stage Nascent Soul realm. If one white crystal wasn't enough, she still had three more.
She lost herself in feeling her body gain more power in a span of a few seconds instead of cultivating bitterly for decades.
She ate the second white crystal and then stopped after the third white crystal. She felt that she had gained enough power and wanted to keep the fourth crystal as a trump card for emergencies.
She was now a late-stage Nascent Soul thanks to the strengthening of her soul.
She could feel that her body had been strengthened with enough power to take down an early-stage Nascent Soul without the use of magics or artifacts.
It was unheard of.
Gaining such power in less than a minute was a feat that only Gods were capable of bestowing...but it was given to her by a mortal whose soul was only at the level of Energy Condensation.
The five pills she had given Drake were Energy pills used by cultivators of the Energy Condensation realm to advance in level.
Cultivation in this world was the act of strengthening the body and the soul to ultimately become a God.
To start cultivating you needed to have a bloodline ability inherited from your ancestors that would become the foundation for your own magic. It would grow in power as your soul became stronger and change your body to better accommodate it as you advanced in levels.
Mortals started accumulating energy in their bodies and soul at the Energy Condensation realm. They opened an energy sea in their bodies that was the bridge towards their soul. Therefore as the body grew stronger so did the soul.
The next realm was Foundation Establishment. Your lifespan reaches two hundred years. Here, it was establishing a foundation for your ability to flourish and be attuned to the soul. The stronger you become in Foundation Establishment, the more your soul absorbs the properties of your bloodline ability. You then unlock even more power from your ability.
At the Golden Core realm, your energy sea would become saturated with power and condense, becoming a Core. Your lifespan reaches five hundred years. Having fully absorbed the properties of your ability, the Core would then become the power source for your ability to be unleashed, unlocking a whole new realm of possibilities for what you can do with your ability.

At the Nascent Soul realm, the attunement between soul and body had reached its limit and it's time for the soul to manifest itself in the body. Your lifespan reaches a thousand years. The Core then turns into a miniature soul. It is also the manifestation of your element in soul form. Even if you lose your body you can still survive and retain your ability as long as the Nascent Soul is safe. You can then possess another body and continue cultivating.
The next realm is the Void Sage realm. Your lifespan reaches three thousand years. A qualitative surge in the power you wield allowing you to have enough energy to travel the stars without the use of artifacts.
The next realm is called 'Law Breaker'. Your lifespan reaches ten thousand years. Each bloodline ability is a representation of a law. By continuously strengthening your ability, you're bound to reach the qualification to break through and wield your ability as if it was a law.
Finally, by breaking through your mortality, you reach the God realm. You become immortal.
Gods, with their immortal lives, even though they can still be killed, keep cultivating to become even stronger.
The path of cultivation is unending.
"If only I had a few hundred of these white crystals..." Lamented the young woman.
She just has taken a shower and changed into another blue robe.
She approached the carcass of the Green Dragon and then retrieved her sword from it. She then started digging into its skull. She found a green crystal pellet.
"With this, the alchemists back home will be able to extract its wood ability into an Ability Pill. I now have a chance to become a God." She said as she turned to the unconscious Drake. She thought, "I shouldn't leave him to be devoured by beasts, he helped me a lot."
She fed him a pill and he slowly opened his eyes thereafter.
He looked at her and then stood up smiling, " It seems to have worked. How do you feel?"
"I feel good, thanks for asking. Let's go. I'm going to escort you back home. It's dangerous for your mortal body to stay out here." She said. In fact, she was curious to see where he lived and if there were people stronger than her backing him up. If he was all alone, she would kidnap him and force him to create as much of those white crystals as possible.
Drake then remarked that the Dragon's head had been opened, "I see you took its Dragon core, but I don't think it's useful to you?"
"What do you know? I'm a rare Non-ability cultivator who was born with a powerful soul. Without an ability, I can't comprehend a law and I'm destined to stay below the Law Breaker realm forever." she indignantly said.
"It's like that, huh. Maybe you should teach me how to cultivate before you go, I'll count that as compensation for saving you." Drake tentatively asked. He was now curious about the cultivation of the soul of this world ever since he found out that it could enhance his Blood Magic.

" So he wasn't an old monster hiding in the body of a kid. He doesn't even know about cultivation. Could it be he was just a normal kid with such a powerful bloodline ability?" She thought. She continued, " No matter. Since he brought it up, I should take him in as a disciple and bring him to the Palace of Immortals with me."
"Become my disciple and come with me and you'll become an immortal." She said.
Drake shook his head, "I don't want to leave my family behind."
"They can come with you." she chose to compromise.
Drake then thought about all the secrets he had. From what she had said earlier and what his father kept proudly saying at home, he surmised that only those with a bloodline ability could become proper immortals. If word got around that he could extract abilities from his victims and then share them or if word got around that he could create purified blood that could heal and strengthen one's body, he would be hunted down and enslaved, not mentioning what would happen to his family and village because they were related to him.
"Wait, we're being watched," she said as she moved. One second she was in his vision, the next second she had disappeared in the bushes.
She came back holding a man by his dreadlocks.
Compared to her the man was a giant.
"D...Dad?" Said Drake with bulging eyes.
"This is your father?" She asked, but she didn't let him go.
"Yes, you can let him go now. It's my father." He said as his mind worked on overdrive trying to think of what he could say to his father to clear up any misunderstandings.
Was his father following him from the very beginning?
Had he seen him morph into a red wolf?
"Why are you not letting him go?" Asked Drake as he frowned.
She showed an evil smile as she said, "I don't know...I was thinking that if you do not come with me I was going to kill him first to show you how serious I am and then go capture the rest of your family if you are still stubborn."
Drake's reverse scale had been pierced at that moment. Anything could happen as long as it didn't include his family.
Before Drake could say anything, his father said, " Go with her. Once you've become an immortal you can come back and look after the village with me."
Even when all seemed lost, his father still thought of the well being of everyone in the village.
Drake was only a little bit curious about becoming an immortal. If there was anything he knew about cultivation, it was that it was an unending journey.
As an Elder Vampire, he was already immortal even if he was far from possessing the strength of an Energy Condensation realm cultivator let alone that of a God. He envisioned that he would eventually become stronger than a God if his Lycan bloodline had enough time to feed off of his immortal Elder Vampire Bloodline.
That being said, it didn't feel right to be threatened. In his eyes, she was just a talking blood bag. He could just as easily order the blood inside of her to explode with just a thought with Blood Magic and there would be nothing left of her.
He could fear her if she had an ability that he couldn't see through, but she had revealed to him that she had no ability.
"Do you believe that with just a thought I could order the blood in your body to explode? There would be nothing left to heal. Trust me." He said with a grin.
She felt cold sweat on her body, 'Can he do that? Could his control of blood be that exaggerated?
Not wanting to be left with only a Nascent Soul, and not even wanting to call his bluff if it ever was one, she shakily let John go.
John got on his feet and went over to Drake's side.
"Also...If you have another storage pouch leave it behind or if you do not have another one leave the one you already have." Drake ordered.
She rummaged through the storage pouch she had and then took out another one that she then threw to Drake.
Drake caught it and then opened it and threw his big bag full of crystals in it under the inquisitive gaze of his father who was too scared to say anything in front of an immortal. Well, John was feeling a little bit proud seeing that his son could threaten an immortal and even secure a prized legendary storage bag from the latter.
"Can I leave now?" Asked the young woman.
"What's your name?" Drake asked.
"Evelyn." She said.
"Pleased to meet you, I'm Drake...you can go now." He said while waving his hand.
Fearing that he was playing games and that he would have her explode at any given moment, she left as fast as the wind could bring her.
"Mind telling what this was all about? And also, mind telling me what that red gigantic wolf was? I want a very good answer." His father squeezed out as he stealthily looked in the direction Evelyn had left from.
"Well..." Damnit he's too direct. Couldn't he feign ignorance for a while or even fear me? I almost made an immortal piss herself, why isn't he afraid of me?
