《Puzzle: Theo's Virtual Quest》Chapter 10

A FEW DAYS AFTER
Theo was up in his room playing pirate with Linos and his other stuffed friends that went along with the pirate term, such as the fierce Blackbeard, Madame Cheng the ambitious female pirate, cunning with all his wits Captain Kidd, scrap the bottom of the treasure chest Jenkins and last but not least the pirate who probably full your bowls every morning, Captain Crunch.
One of the many benefits of having a Tech-Wiz father like Robert is that any experience can become a daring escapade in a matter of seconds with the devices his company manufactures. Theo had a major role because he is lucky enough to try out products before it hits the market.
The device that he is using at the moment, is the DIY Brain Trip VR headset, which enables his mind to be transported to the far-spread high blue briny deep on the Angel of Doom.
Avast ye! the Angel of Doom was the name of the wooden stunning yet ruthless ship, Theo sailed but his Jolly Roger didn’t wave skull and crossbones on it, he had an angel wielding a cutlass in its hands. A cutlass is a short, broad saber or slashing swords that are used by pirates, sailors, and privateers, with a straight or slightly curved blade sharpened on the cutting edge, and a hilt often featuring a solid cupped or basket-shaped guard.
The young sailor rode the waves with his crew alongside his trusty wingman Linos who took on the form of a parrot. Exploring the Caribbean for various booty that is worth looting.
After several hours of voyaging the choppy cerulean seas, Theo heard a fainted voice in the distance calling out. The gentle calls became gradually louder and louder over the course of his sailing.
[Vague]
“A……...”
“Aho…….”
All hands hoay, Theo turned his tricorn as he wanted to discover where the calls were coming from, so he opened up the binnacle and pulled out the compass as he set sail to the direction, in which the air was most thick and warm.
“Ahoy!”
There the greeting was again but this time it was clear where the sounds came from. On an island which was on the near horizon, waiting to be disembarked on.
Linos went up to the crow’s nest to get a better view of the island, spotting a person afar with friendly beckoning arms that encourage the Angel of Doom to sail this way.
“Yo ho ho, ye hearties, sail in this direction ye must,” declared Captain Theodore.
When the Angel of Doom had at last touchdown on the island, Theo felt his headset being removed. As it finally came off of his head, he saw Robert over him chuckling.
“Hehe, how was my pirating, Oh captain my captain?”
*Hm* “Ye pirating was very bad, the scallywag must walk the plank”
“Aw, I thought I was great but anyways….”
Though Robert was cheerful, he didn’t come to see Theo because he wanted to play. It was for the reason that he had an amazingly awesome game for him to play. He started off by saying,
“Sir Theodore, I have a quest, for only you can succeed in. Do you wish to hear it?”
*Mmm* “Carry on,”
“Bring forth thou memory of the night I told thee about my forefather stashing away thee piece of the set of puzzles……… ha-ha I can’t do this voice. Remember when I told you about your gramps hiding the piece from me?”

*Ah* “Yep, that’s when you lost”
“Er, yes but…... I have a magical adventure for you to journey on, Theo”
“Wow, Like the Adventure Buddies!!”
“Yes, exactly like the Buddies of the Adventures.”
“I hid fifty jigsaw puzzle pieces around the house and in the yards. You are required to find all of them and put the entire puzzle set correctly together. What do you think?”
Theo put his hand on his chin, then turn to Linos to discuss the choice of venturing on the given quest.
After a short amount of time, he turned back to Robert and said,
“I don’t know, Linos said it sounds like a drag”
*Eek* “What!? It’s not a drag, it’s an adventure filled with loads of fun.”
“……”
“Hmph, I bet it’s only a drag because he can’t do it, that’s why”
*Giggles* “He said that he said he’s not like Mama.”
“Huh, well tell that little pi………... Oh wait, I almost forgot the best part of the adventure.”
“Best part?”
*Oouuu* “I know you will love this.”
Theo began to hop in circles as he desperately wanted to know what Robert was about to say.
“The company is manufacturing a new Virtual Reality headset, and it enables the user to be transported in their mind as if they’re in entirely different worlds and changes surroundings at the simple click of a bottom. You will be about to turn the house into your very own amusement park of his own likings, with a real feel to it, and will automatically warn you if you’re going to hit an object.
*Yeah*
I know you had it hard not being about to play with your friends from school and all. Thus, with premade quest and levels set already on the headset, and the rooms are like chalk and cheese to each other, you will never have to same experience.”
*Yippee* “Wowwwwwwwww……. That’s sooooooooooo coooooooooollllllll, Dada”
[Inner thoughts] “Whew, looks like Ale was right about how he would react, hehe, so much for being a drag huh Linos.”
*Dances* “Oh yeah oh yeah, my Dada is cool.”
“My buddies from work pitched in on making some of the quests. Hence, in some rooms, you might be about to find the puzzle piece before the simulation begins making it easy or in other rooms, you will have to talk a character into showing you where the piece is hidden. So, you better prepare yourself, alright Sir Theodore.”
*Nobs head quickly* “Uh-huh”
“And it’s still in the manufacturing phase so if you notice any problems let Dada know, okay.”
Robert took out the list of rooms and how many pieces are located in each of them. He then gives it to Theo and wittily said,
“Oh yeah, when you get to the first room in the house, the headset will be there and I have a *little* surprise waiting for you when it’s put on. So, young Theo are you ready to go on a wildly bizarre ride of a quest, into your Pure Imagination?”
*Zing* “I was born ready.”
“Okie Dokie, my young adventurer,” said Robert as he cheered in excitement.

They are fifty (50) puzzle pieces in total. Best of luck finding all of them.
NOTE:
THE ROOM ORDER- this will make it much more clear and easier to come to a decision of the sequence of the rooms that should be explored first and get a rhythm when journeying on the quests. The order of the rooms will also be like an indicator to show how challenging the rooms are at the time of advancing throughout the stages in the trials.
A stage is somewhat of an arc that will take place in one room but it will have specific tests that can require either the usage of physical attributes or solving it with brainpower. Now everything in life can be resolve with only the use of hands. So being able to figure out a solution is using a thought-out method will be an important aspect of the trials.
In addition, to the arrangement of the rooms, the list has the number of pieces that are located in the designated rooms to boot. When all of the puzzle pieces are collected from the room, the stage will be completed and that will be one step closer to finishing the quest.
Thus, the escapade will give the sensation of playing a videogame but instead of a mocked-up experience, it offers a real-life undergo to everything being seen and touch in the VR world. The headset is wireless, making it effortless to move around, however, in order for the simulation to be turned on for the mind to be transported to the other-worldly settings, or for an increasingly appealing term, a place magnificent daydream that keeps one dreaming.
A certain interaction is an essential feature for the virtual quest to occur, so communicating with a specific object or touching something can trigger the adventure and transfer the mind into a whole new setting, that is worth exploring. This simply means, that the simulation will not activate when casually passing through a room or going to the bedroom to sleep, or going to use the toilet.
There will be a pattern to be observed when going down to list and gathering some of the puzzle pieces. Each room or stage to be exact has a lesson to be learned which can be helpful in everyday life so don’t be rushed into completing the stage at a jet’s pace. Remember that slow and steady wins the race so take time when getting to the bottom of the stage. Acquiring the knowledge given from each trial may be beneficial when coming up against other trials. Thus, why taking heed of them is key for progressing turn the stages.
Failure to collect all the puzzle pieces from a stage will result in one of the five lives getting reduced so make certain to not give if it’s up. A non-fulfillment will be considered, leaving the trial unannounced or walking out one stage and never returning.
When reaching a particular locale in the simulation, depending on how well the prior level was done, life will be given as a reward. Some trials are straightforward and child’s play to understand, while others are more complex and will take a lot of effort to carry out.
The VR headset has a little quirk to it because of the evolution of our breakthrough technology that will make aliens sightly proud. When thriving through the stages, the headset will steadily adapt to the mind of the user. Allowing them to be able to create an object which could assist in trials when called upon.
The power-up is called Pure Creation, this ability is earned by the performance in the last stage. If done excellently, then the power bar on the headset will increase. Pure Creation allows the user to summon doohickeys from their imagination that will come in the handle when facing a challenge.
What can be summoned, depends on the number of Pure Creation energy is gathered and various throughout the amount of imagining is needed in order to create the object. Pure Creation uses a percentage to monitor the quantity of power that is being stored. For example, 5% of Pure Creation can only generate small objects, while 75% can create large objects or useful abilities.
Some puzzle pieces can be found in real life, while others will have to be obtained digitally. When all the digital pieces are collected, there will be a trail leading to the real pieces that are hidden in the real world. So, it’s of the utmost importance, to secure the digital puzzle pieces for the purpose of getting further to the end of the magical quest.
The characters who are in the exploration of the images come in all shapes and from, with different types of personalities and problems worth discovering as well as solving. No characters are the same because the use of the different aspects that were taken into consideration when selecting a personality type will make it seem like a brand-new universe every time a fresh stage sets in motion as some are from different eras. Having their own quirkiest to them, traits, and even the way they speak are unique to each other. A-few of the characters are fun and level-headed, while others are bizarre in their own way and won’t think twice when making decisions, so don’t even think about giving them the remote to detonate a nuke if life is going well.
The power of the imagination can come in clutch in a shedload of circumstances so being a creative thinker will make the journey twice as fun so keep that pure imagination train chugging if the quest is going to be a journey to Candle Island with Flapjack or a deep dive into Davy Jones’ locker.
Now then enough of the chit-chat, it’s about time the magical adventure of the mind gets cracking, or should one say thinking. The journey into Theo’s Pure Imagination takes flight now.

Making of a Genius [A Progression LitRPG]
What does it take to climb to the top of the academic ladder? Lexus came face to face with his mediocrity the moment he arrived at Cambridge University to study computer science. There was a ceiling that he could not overcome, an intellectual world that was unreachable. But if you give a chicken an eagle's wings, it will fly higher than you could ever imagine. And that was exactly what happened to Lexus: with the help of a system, he could make it big. Schedule:1 chapter per week (every Friday evening at 5:30pm GMT). The weekly schedule is to allow time for research and factual accuracy where required. Author's Note: The story is about a computer science student at university, gradually improving and embarking on the path to become a world-renowned genius-level expert with the help of a system. There'll be a lot of studying and academics, but imagine being the best in your year. Easily. At that point, academics stops being stressful and starts being fun, doesn't it? The initial chapters are heavy on mathematical detail, but I don't expect anyone to actually read through them thoroughly. It's fine to skim them or even skip them, but I hope you try to get a sense of the progress being made, and feel happy for Lexus when something 'clicks' inside his brain :) As the story progresses, later chapters will go into less depth into individual questions, though I aim to remain consistent in terms of scientific accuracy/feasibility. Welcome, and I hope you enjoy the story!
