《The immortal that ran away from home》Chapter 13 - Using spiritual sense to copy

The next day Tong Bo Yue went back to school and was surprised to find out that she was going to have a test. She obviously wouldn´t care about such a thing but the last night she suddenly remembered that every teacher would refine a weapon for their disciples, especially if they are so hard working and talent like Jaime so she felt guilty and almost expended all her energy to refine a sword ideal for Jaime.
She didn´t want to lose face failing the test; She could make the teacher write A in her report card but that ugly mortal wasn´t worthy to see her real appearance so she was unwilling to use enchanting technics on him. She knew that she only had 30 minutes remanding and considering the energy she had spent refining Jaime´s sword she could at most memorize 4 of the 10 topics seen in class before the test.
She was about to enter in panic when she thought of her 72 transformations. The legendary technic used by the monkey king Sun Wukong was something miraculous; Not only allows the users to transform into anything they want and make their bodies almost indestructible, it can also transform the hairs of that person´s body into animate objects
She was planning to make a hair clone of herself and have that clone look for the answers in books, notes and internet when she found a problem. If her energy was so weak that she wasn´t sure to be able to pass the test in an honest manner… How could she have the energy to make a hair clone?!
She kept thinking but no ideas were useful… If she read the mind of anyone in her actual condition that person may become a retard
“What would mortals do if they were me?” She asked to herself “The honest and pessimist would accept the loss of face and fail the test, the honest and optimist would give it a shot and memorize as much as they could, the dishonest ones would make an accordion, use their cellphones or copy one of their classmates”

“Copy!” it was at that moment that she was enlighten “I´m pretty much out of energy in this moment but using spiritual sense doesn´t spend too much energy and I can copy anyone and everyone in this classroom”
She turned towards Jaime and asked with urgency “who are the ones with best notes in chemistry?”
Jamie was dumbstruck. He couldn´t understand why his master would asked such a question when a crazy thought flashed through his mind and his mouth curved into a smile that was not yet a smile
“You aren´t panning to use your spiritual sense to copy… Are you?” he answered Tong Bo Yue with a question
“This lady has a supreme cultivation base and obviously doesn´t need to copy” she said icily
Jaime was scare of his master but this was a once in a millennium opportunity to take advantage of her so he didn´t back down “Then… Why would an almighty goodness such as yourself need that kind of information?”
“Are only mortals allowed to have curiosity?” It was Tong Bo Yue´s turn to answer with a question and her voice was that of an offended person
“Then… You wouldn´t mind if I tell the teacher that you want a test made especially for you?’”
Almost any teacher would say no to such a request but Jaime was sure Tong Bo Yue didn´t know it and that´s what made him sure that she would spill the beans
Indeed, our little fairy Tong Bo Yue didn´t know anything and believed her unfilial disciple was able to as he said
“I´m almost out of energy and didn´t study so yes… I´m going to copy” she said as her face turned red
“You know I spent all the weak bitterly training…”
“Okay I´ll tell you by spiritual sense everything I see but you have to tell me who the hell are reliable to copy” she cut Jaime with evident anger and indignation

“We call them the young Einsteins and are the 5 closest to the professor”
Tong Bo Yue and Jaime weren´t talking loudly but when they saw Angela and Lena they immediately stopped talking
“Are you ready?” Angela asked with a smile
“No” both Tong Bo Yue and Jaime shook their heads
“I guess I´m not ready either” said Lena with a sad face
They talked for 10 minutes until the chemistry teacher arrived. He was a ugly and weir looking meddle age man who seem ready to kill the first to piss him off
“You have an hour and I don´t want anyone to copy… If I catch you, it´s better if you don´t bother to come to my class anymore” he said with a face that was able to scare more than half of the class
Tong Bo Yue and Jaime looked at each other and laughed in their hearts… It was impossible for that old man to catch them and he will never know that 2 of his students were able to shamelessly copy in front of him
The test was pretty weird and Tong Bo Yue didn´t know what to answer so she quickly used her spiritual sense to know what the young Einsteins answered and was happily surprised to see that they were already done with 5 questions
“Pay attention because I´m not repeating” she sent through spiritual sense to Jaime
“The 5 of them answered B to the first one, 3 of them answered A to the second, 5 of them answered B to the third…”
After 45 minutes she sent the last message through spiritual sense “The last one just finished and 4 of them answered C to the last question” She walked towards the teacher and continue “Wait 5 minutes before hand over the test”
Tong Bo Yue then left the classroom and after 6 minutes Jamie was beside her “Do you think we´ll get a good note?” she asked feeling nervous
“I´ll bet on it. The least those guys get is an A-, you saw it yourself it was as if they were synchronized and the only reason I find for them to answer practically the same it’s that they knew the correct answers” Jaime took a deep breath and said “It felt great!”

Living in Paradise
The first thing I saw when I woke up was a group of people standing over me shouting "Happy Birthday!!!". Immediately after they start debating what type of world I came from and calling me 'William'. Later on I would learn that everyone here is reborn from another world and many children come with magic or superpowers or other gifts leftover from their old lives. I came from a world that was, to me, typical modernity. To them it was pretty boaring with the only thing interesting about my world being was a higher than average tech level for a non-spacefaring civilization; technology that wouldn't even work in this new world. All I brought with me was a peculiar mindset and the strong suspicion that there must be something more to life. Once everyone started to clear out my mother took me up in her arms, explained how the world works, and then stabbed me in the neck with a knife. I got better. -------------------- This story was written from the central idea of a simple question: What if a videogame like world, with all the normal video-game staples and tropes, was actually a real world? How would that work? How would people understand the universe around them? What sort of weirdness would the world appear to have from the point of view of someone who recognizes the odd nature of the place? And finally, if left to its own devices, how would this type of world ultimately develop?

A young woman gets thrown into this grimdark world from our own. Will she survive the curveball that gets thrown in her face as she changes into something else? Map created by Maximeplasse This fiction is based on my play-per-post RP that I've run before but with my own take on summoned characters and dungeon settings. At certain points I'll also allow reader decisions if the story gets popular enough. xD It's unrelated to the D&D Theron setting; Telduria I just liked the name and the map when I started up the RP back in the day.
