《Conquer the World》Chapter 26: The Foundation Pillar

“Now, please go home and sleep in your own room. No need to sleep here.” Said Ye Yingyuan when he returned to his room. Of course, the reason he said that was because Li Ling stayed in his room for so long.
“Nope. Did you forget what my father tell you?” Li Ling placed her hands on her hips, seeing Ye Yingyuan as if the winner had been decided. This made Ye Yingyuan’s pupil shrank and he remembered each word that Li Dian had said to him.
“With the request of your mother Madam Ye, I will permit my daughter to stay in the Ye Residence.”
That was what Li Dian had said. He even said it as if his life depended on it! How could Ye Yingyuan not understand this? He had doubted it from a long time ago but now it looked like that was really the case.
‘Mother, do you want to pair me up with her?’ Ye Yingyuan lamented at his own luck. He did not expect that his mother already planned for this but then Ye Yingyuan suddenly asked himself if he really took a liking to Li Ling.
“I remember that!” Ye Yingyuan replied quickly. “But you always stay here in my room, is this of your own volition or is it forced to you?”
“I decided it myself and no one even forced me into it! So what’s your opinion this time?” seeing that Ye Yingyuan asked her about it made Li Ling felt irritated and pose with her fist directed at Ye Yingyuan.
“My...opinion....is that I need to be alone!” Ye Yingyuan then just sat cross-legged and start to open the scroll one by one. Then with the energy that Ye Yingyuan had, he tried to lift the scroll but as expected there was only one scroll that able to float in the air.
Ye Yingyuan’s gaze swept the entire scroll and read the content.
It described the Nine Yang Body Constitution in general, then it also explained the part that the owner body would feel hot from his entire body. This would become more apparent when the owner reached the higher stage.
Manstein also saw that and then he made several probabilities regarding the body constitution. ‘This is really strange. Why there is some set of body constitution in the beginning? Furthermore, what is the purpose of cultivating?’
The more Manstein had his question answered, the question which appeared increase instead of decreasing! But this was why Manstein loved to dig the vast sea of knowledge.
‘Ye Yingyuan said that the cultivators cultivate to fight against the heaven. Then isn’t the Allway Sect also doing the same thing?’ Manstein wanted to think it more but he realized that unless he did it himself, he would not find the answer he desires.
“So how should I refine this energy to be able to suit the condition of my body?” Ye Yingyuan slowly read the part that explained how to refine the energy.
“It said that the energy from the outside can vary according to the place where the energy was. But if you had the body constitution and had awakened it then you need to slowly absorb and refine the free energy and convert it into the energy that is suitable.”

Ye Yingyuan frowned when he read that part. “What is the meaning of that convert? How it can be done?”
Manstein also thought of something too. ‘Converting energy? Why does it sound strange?’
‘To...oh the clue is...’ Manstein re-read the part where the sentences mention about how to convert the energy to another form of it. That part especially familiar with Manstein because of how it should be done.
‘Potential energy, that’s it! Change the kinetic energy which was the energy that cultivators used and made those energy stored in the pillar. I see it now.’
Although Manstein already knew about foundation pillar, this method also made him excited!
‘Usually, the pillar served as the foundation for the next stage but in the scroll, it can also be used as something to store the energy like a battery. Who in the world create this, I wonder?’ Manstein now wanted to meet the person that writes this scroll.
Then Manstein said, “This is the step to creating the energy stored in your foundation pillar. The first step was to convert every kind of energy to the one which was suitable to your body constitution. The second was to store it inside the pillar and let it stack until you cannot store it in one pillar anymore.
“This step requires you to do it until all the pillars are formed.”
This made Ye Yingyuan rather confused as he had never seen this kind of method. “What does that mean? This is so unfamiliar to me and if I should really store the energy inside the pillar then, wouldn’t that increase the resources I need to cultivate?”
“It’s true. But you also read the last part where it can increase your battle prowess when you used this method, not only that but this is the good method for your body as well.” Said Manstein while lost in thought.
‘Yang Pillar as a beginning. Is this how you should use the advantage of the body constitution?’
Then Ye Yingyuan proceeded to change the energy from his surroundings to become one that suitable for his body. ‘The energy must become to like my body which is warmer and thoroughly set my body ablaze.’
Slowly, the energy changed form to become the small red spark that slowly embedded itself to the only pillar and the pillar shone with a faint red light. Ye Yingyuan could feel the sensation in his pillar and only did this for the authenticity of the scroll.
At the same time, Ye Yingyuan breathed a mouthful of air but he found out that the air was slightly cooler than normal. He had to do some new breathing technique which was only a little problem. But to found out that the change in the air was not impossible for him.
Manstein gasped in shock as he tried to feel the air around him. ‘This is warm that Ye Yingyuan produced but where is this cold come from? Oh, looks like he really deep into meditation.’
Because of that, Manstein tried to open his eyes but it only served as a catalyst to his new astonishment.

It was because the room right now was almost split into two parts. The first part was where Ye Yingyuan currently now sitting while the other part was where the cold air come from. Even though the hot temperature from Ye Yingyuan radiated far more dominant than the other side but it could not completely erase it.
“The hot and cold, the complete opposite from each other! How can such a thing happen here?” but when Manstein saw this, the cold air then started to fade away as if it never exist in the first place.
Then Manstein saw that in front of him, sitting cross legged was Li Ling which also meditating. She creased her eyebrows and her expression showed that she had struggled against something but Manstein did not know what it was.
“Did it just my imagination or the cold air came from outside and coincidentally made this room split into two?”
However, the only thing Manstein had to do now was waiting until the day where his body would be made.
Ye Yingyuan still converted the energy to become suitable then let it enter his pillar. He also thought, ‘I really thankful for you. If not for you lend a hand when the tribulation came, I even don’t know if I can survive it.’
But of course, there was no reply from Manstein himself, only silence.
-
‘So this is the feeling when faced with a Foundation Establishment cultivator.’ When the heat spread to the entire room, Li Ling could feel the aura that only belonged to those who reached the Foundation Establishment stage.
But she also found out about her body reacted to the condition in the room which was heated.
So she sat cross-legged and then saw that her energy points acting strangely. Li Ling then felt cold inside her body and then the cold even spread to her energy points!
‘This is bad! What is this?’ instead of a solution, Li Ling found more trouble. ‘My body reacted to the heat that Yingyuan produced. So does that mean at that time, my increased level is not due to just some small matter!’
The heat accelerated something inside her or to be exact, her body resisted the heat by producing the cold.
Li Ling then circulated the energy that she had across her entire blood veins. Not only that but she also followed the rhythm of her own heart beat to circulate it. The first five circle of the energy rotating inside her there were small changes in her energy points.
Those energy points emitted cold just like her body and in the end, those energy points ended up just like the plague that spread to all of her current energy points.
‘Is this a bad sign? Then why I did not feel anything even though this were so cold?’ Li Ling felt really strange at this point. She clearly realized that her body temperature dropped but she felt little to no effect from it.
Without her realizing, Manstein probed her and the place where she sat down after that became coated with a thin ice.
And soon, the room really separated in two by both Ye Yingyuan and Li Ling. Fortunately, they stopped at the same time and then opened their eyes.
The heat disappeared and the cold vanished while the room returned to normal. But when they saw that a layer of ice formed below Li Ling, they both exclaimed in surprise.
“How can it formed there!?” the layer of ice was radiated energy from it and not only that but there was also trace of something that burned but stopped for some unknown reason. This baffled both of them and no one could answer it other than Manstein.
But of course, he just kept silent without even giving them a word.
‘Should I tell Ye Yingyuan to check something? I can’t really say it that someone also has a high possibility to have body constitution, right?’
No matter what, Manstein would not come to conclusion without enough proof and the appearance of the cold air was only happen this time. ‘If in the future this case also happens again, then I really should tell him.’
That was the end of the case for him now. Manstein had seen the pillar just now. It was standing strong and ready to shoulders the will of the owner with its red light. Not only that but there was also sign of the pillar strengthening.
At the time when both of Ye Yingyuan and Li Ling finished their meditation, there was also a little story in the secluded room deep in the residence.
“Damn, I...with my own hands, almost kill my own family. Damn it all!” shouted a young man that lied in the bed. “If only I was stronger at that time then I don’t need their help at all.”
The frustration and hopeless could be seen in his eyes as he howled and cursed himself for being weak.
“But I need to tell Father about this. I hope that everyone here will not receive the impact from them!” the young man then tried to stand but could not. He also found out that the sealing mark which embedded deep inside his body now was gone.
“That bamboo forest, that incident and the event after that. I...cannot remember it much.”
Then when the closed room suddenly opened by someone, this young man was surprised by the appearance of the person who was standing at the front of the door. His eyes now blurred because of the accumulated tears.
And not only the young man but also the person that standing, both of them had tears on their faces slowly drifted.

Life in the New World
On the Hiatus: I began writing this novel when I was, in all honesty, very bad at writing. I hope to revisit creative writing in the near future and I plan to, at some point in time, revisit this. I am flattered that many people have taken the time to read this story, but it is not what I intend to start with, as it will likely need a hard rewrite in order to correct many of the more glaring issues it has. Join our hero and follow his exciting adventure through a newly changed world! WARNING their will be violence, profanity,, and gore in this fiction. if any of these make you uncomfortable this is not a story for you turn around and walk away now!!!
