《NO STRINGS ATTACHED》CH.2

The trio was ushered through the doors of the village and to the side where a small outpost was built for the guards. They followed the guards inside and then, one of the guards loudly called out to another:
Guard ???: Bryan! We need you to make some new papers for the three young masters here! Get your ass over here!
Guard Bryan: Here, Sir!
The new guard that arrived seemed to be in his early twenties. He was wearing the same guard outfit as the others composed of a leather armor poorly made and worn out, a sccabard holding some mass-produced sword and a simple helmet with many scratches. Considering the youth and attitute of the kid, he probably never fought and those scratches were remnants of the past wearer.
The middle man of the trio sighed again at the sorry sight.
Guard Bryan: Respected Sirs, please, this way. I will be crafting your new identity papers.
The young guard led them to a room with a simple desk with engraving tools on it as the previous guard excused himself politely. The young guard made an offensive hand sign towards the back of the older guard as he was leaving, not even caring about the trio. Then, as he turned around, he told them:
Guard Bryan: Alright, i need your names, birthplace and age.
The trio looked at each other and the middle man was first to speak:
???: Kaiba. Born in Hogwards. 22 forever.
Then the wolfman:
???: Tempest. Born in the Kashubs. 780 years old. Cursed Ice Wolfman Tribesman.
And the Magus:
???: Atem. Born in Pegasus's island. 790 years old. Dark elf Tribesman.
???: Elf, really?
???: Why not?
Bryan: ...Excuse me, Sirs, could you be a bit more serious about this?
The middle man chuckled, apologized without a care and spoke:
???: Shen. Samsburg. 22.

???: Still Tempest, Kashubs and 780 years.
???: Still Atem but Samsburg too. 790 years even though i am not a dark elf.
Bryan: ...Can you guys just stop with the prank?
Shen: Just put 22 for all of us.
Bryan: Uh...Whatever, i don't give a fuck. Give me a moment to process the new IDs.
The young guard began to work on engraving with mana the different informations he had been told onto rock plates the size of cards.
Meanwhile, the trio was in heated discussion.
Tempest: Why should we belittle our age, Master?! We should just go straight to the capital and meet their King! Like in Asburrud!
Shen: No! Remember how badly it ended!
Atem: Did we not get what we wanted? I don't see where you find any problem.
Shen: We ended up destroying Asburrud! They burnt their own library in despair!
Tempest: Tch. We did get the stuff though.
Shen: No! I don't want to spill blood needlessly again when there is an easier way to go about this!
Atem: I believe that a slaughter is a very easy, wise and quick move.
Shen: Your brain turned trash after all those years? Maybe I should rework some clogs there?
Atem: ...
Tempest: No need to go so far, Master. That aside, do you seriously believe they have it?
Shen: Maybe. We will know soon enough.
Atem: Do you really trust your plan? Registering at that capital will be enough?
Shen: Should be. We can always slaughter later on as a last option.
Tempest & Atem: True.
Shen: I do wish it won't come to this though and hope they are the ones who have it.
Tempest: I can't wait to go wild again after we get it!
Atem: It has been far too long indeed.
Guard Bryan: What the fuck are you talking about? ...Nevermind. I don't want to know. I don't want more shit on my plate. Here are your new identification cards. Don't lose them this time.

Shen: Thanks, Bryan. Let's go, guys.
The weird trio exited the place.
At the same time, a guard of older age entered from a different door and asked Bryan:
Guard ???: Sir Bryan, they talked about slaughtering at the capital, why did you not arrest them?
Guard Bryan: Fool! I could put a dragon in your face that you would not notice it! Pass on the order: this trio is not to be disturbed during their stay. AT ALL!
Guard ???: Right away, Sir Bryan!
The trio walked camly in the middle of the street as if they owned it, attracting a lot of gazes from the citizens. The wolfman spoke first:
Tempest: Well, it has been a long time since we went back into the secular world. I shall go secure some information at the nearest establishment for noblemen. You two feel free to go get an inn and such.
Atem: I believe that i should accompany you as you might spend our entire treasury if not watched.
Shen: *cough* *cough* I can't just be the one left out, guys. And there should be a lot of information to learn, more than two could handle though three seem to be the perfect number. *cough* Let us start this journey by visiting this establishment.
They arrived at the establishment soon enough after asking directions from some other gentlemen on the streets.Unfortunately, at the entrance, they were told off:
???: It is 10 a.m, the girls are sleeping right now. Come back during opening doors, starting from 6 p.m.
As they left dejected, they heard a whisper from the same man 'bunch of dickheads' yet went on their way as if they did not hear it.
Tempest: Well...Where should we go for now then, Master?
Shen: ...I need a drink.
The other two nodded and they walked towards a tavern. They took a seat in the table closest to the bar. Since it was entirly empty anyways, it was better to get one closer. They would be served faster. And quickly they had their mugs filled with alcohol.
They cheered as the leader of the three said:
Shen: Cheers to finally being freed from the seal!
Tempest & Atem: Cheers!

Tales of Light
These are a collection of short stories following different narratives. It's more like a playground and experimenting with ideas or subjects I don't want to write a complete story about. It's also a place to test my skills as a writer. Think of it as a notebook of un/finished ideas. Feel free to pick and choose which chapters to read. They aren't related unless specifically said otherwise. Just relax, enjoy, and cringe at goofy stories. There may be a timeline of events, or not... who knows?

Barry Buckman and the Interdimensional Beastiary
In the beginning of 2021 I did something possibly stupid, I hired a ghostwriting company to write one of the many ideas going on in my head since I was busy with my job. Unfortunately... They were not the greatest, after the first writer assigned to me left I was stuck with... We'll just call her 'Karen'. Karen didn't want to listen to my feedback on chapters, and turned what was supposed to be a long story about a young guy surviving on an island of supernatural and crazy stuff, and becoming stronger from it, was turned into a not so great romance novel.I plan on releasing another one, probably after this that will be Barry Buckman Redux, which will be me writing it out the way I originally envisioned it.
