《Tourism Record of the Origin Dragon》Record 046: Flee

When I gather myself again, nothing seemed to go wrong. The colorful particles are still dancing like a raging storm, more beautiful than ever under the disco lights of seven different elements.
Let's finish this thing.
"Like the Water flows; Like the Wind blows; Like the gentle Earth that supports the Nature while the raging Fire flashes across the sky that known as Thunder. With the power of Holy, I shall Apprehend my Enemies while All Creations whom I deem as Ally shall be Blessed!"
I quickly chant through the entire verse in one breath. With my sense, I can see all the light particles of different colors that came out from the people are returning to them corresponding to their element.
With my mind, I put the Holy Knights and the High Priest under my Enemies list. Because I cast Apprehend with Holy element, they don't have any suspicion as the white light cover them. I can also sense the lights returning to those who are hiding under the wooden platform. They have Earth, Nature, Wind and Fire elements.
As the storm of lights settle themselves, the spell's name finally comes. It's pretty religious in my opinion. I just want to get over with this so speak it out loud right away.
"Eternal Magic: Sacrament of the Origin!"
The scale on my body rapidly flashes through different color like a broken Chameleon before stopping at White.
[Your Holy aptitude has been raised by your Faith to the Origin]
Oh wow, I just blessed myself. How does that even work?
[Message from Eye of the Origin: Your Holy aptitude is permanently raised by 0]
Eye of the Origin? Does that mean my eyes? Speaking of my eyes, after the particles disappear, I can sense the weaker elements in the air now. They paint my vision with a veil of swirling color, making the world look like an oil painting.
Anyway, the spell correctly raised my aptitude by 0 because I have no Faith to this stupid religion. At least it didn't deem me as Enemy or I would have Apprehend'd myself.
While everyone is still in daze, I spread out my wings. With the ridiculously high Speed boost, I swiftly soar into the sky without any problem, leaving a blurry trace of seven colors. I float there under the moonlight, enjoying the Freedom that finally came.
After a minute or so, I start hearing a commotion from below so I look down.
The Toothpick is held with my currently-dexterous hind left claws while the angel kid is being held with my right. He is still in daze and unmoving. Fortunately, he seems to be malnurtured and doesn't weight much. Hmm, that sounds wrong.
I can see the Holy Knights are still trying to escape the rope of white light. The priest is casting one holy spell after another. Some of those in the crowd breaks out from their daze and kneels down. But since I am in the sky, I can ignore them all together.
With my enchanted sense, the figures of two green lizards and a human can be seen coming out of the stage where I was. They suddenly start glowing in a pale cyan color, evidence of a Wind element buffs, then swiftly run through the air and arrive on top of a roof. That's pretty amazing, but I have wings!

A flash of light comes from below and I dodge it with ease. The knights have escaped my Apprehend. Ah, my SPI is too low to keep them for long. I wasted too much time admiring the night scene. I will blame the two moons intersecting each other for that. Anyway, let's leave.
Aiming at the hill in the south..west, I soar forward, carefully hold on to the kid and my Toothpick. More flash of lights come but none of them can hit me and only pierce through my colorful after image. However, I soon realize their intention. The knights were trained to capture me, a creature who could fly, so they obviously have a trick to do so.
The flash of lights aren't dissipate after missing me. They stop in mid air, revealing themselves as runes and soon they form a magical formation in the air. This is the first time I see it in this world. Well, they Conjure magic by drawing runes all the time, but this is on a different level.
The runes connect to each other in a specific order. Without sufficient knowledge about this world's rune, I could not calculate the outcome of this spell, but I'm sure it's nothing good for my Freedom.
I keep track of it with my elemental sense. Since it looks like a nest, I quickly come up with what to do next. The moment the formation shines, I do a barrel roll in mid air and avoid the net of magic... or so I thought.
It's not a net. It's a pillar of light. Or more exactly, a cage of light!
After the pillar appears where I was, it turns over and easily engulfs me who was in mid roll. Even with my Speed, I could not avoid it without breaking my wings to abruptly change direction. Pain is annoying.
The pillar of light shrinks onto me and turns into a net of light, constricting my wings. Without my wings, the Gravity soon gets into action and makes me fall toward the ground outside the city.
With my head aiming downward, I see some explosion on the ground, radiating the Fire elemental outward. The lizards and human from before is running in front of the Holy Knights. One of them is throwing something at the knights, and whatever it was, it explodes! I hope no one is going to make Gun with it and ruin the Fantasy setting. Ah, it's not the time to think about that.
"I command to whatever element available! Dispel! Dispel!" I rapidly cast Dispel with short chant. However, the moment one part of the net dissipate, it quickly regenerate itself.
As I embrace myself to hit the ground, the net slows down my descend. Ah right, they couldn't just kill off their Energy Source, huh?
Using the chance, I perform a somersault and land on my feet, almost squishing the unconscious kid and step on the Toothpick. My wings are still constricted, so I might have to run. The knights are coming close! I can hear footsteps on the other side of the hill!

However, the one who come first was a man in light-weight clothing and is under a Wind buff. I immediately recognize him: The bare-handed fighter who leaded me out of the forest.
"Hello!" He waves his hand and run toward me. "Do you remember me?"
"I see you gained a few level." I indirectly answer him.
"How is the Genesis Dragon?" A strange voice comes from the other side. Soon, a [Lv32 Wind] show itself. It's a green Lizard who is also glowing in Wind color.
"Genesis Dragon?" I ask with a frown.
"No time to explain. We should leave, my brother is trying to stop the knights." The lizard hurriedly says. Since his voice is low, I will assume he is a male.
"Alright. Carry this for me again." I say and throw the Toothpick at the human.
It rotates once and points its Brown blade at him. He is dumbfounded for a moment before stepping aside to avoid the blade and catch the pole.
The other luggage is the unconscious kid. I carefully put him in my maw under the weird gaze of the two. His wings taste like Holy. After simply giving a shrug, I collapse on all four, turning my tail and running toward the south.
"Brother!" Another voice comes from behind but I don't bother looking. It's probably the other lizard. His voice sounds childish so he is probably the younger brother.
"You are hurt!" The older lizard exclaims.
Ah, if it's not too serious, I will heal him later as a thanks.
With my boosted sense, I can hear more footsteps coming. The three who helped me also start running behind. If I was more shameless, I would ask them to stop the knights. However, asking a Lv24 and a Lv32 to fight nearly a dozen of Lv60 would be sending them to their deaths. They might like it, but...
"He is here!" "Stop running you oversize lizard!"
"I'm not!" The young lizard yells at them, making me chuckle but I refrain it because of the kid.
The chase keeps going on for a few minutes and has reached the border of a sparse forest. The three with their Wind buff can barely catch up behind me. The knights seem to have Speed boost too, however the apparent Eternal effect of Apprehend is slowing them down. The bare-handed fighter swing my Toothpick, sending wave after wave of rocks at the knights. That's so cool.
The seven colors lights on my body has been flickering for awhile. The buff is waning, and I'm not sure how long it would last. I'm starting to few tired. If only they also gave me stamina boost.
Suddenly, I sense an explosion of elemental energy from behind. Instead of a Fire radiation, it's a mix of all eight elements, causing a wave of chaotic colors sweeps over my Elemental vision.
Before I can turn back to see what it was, the answer appears in front of me. One of the Holy Knight, now cladding in white flame, is standing there. Instead of panicking due to the strange event, I make a slight turn to avoid him. However, two more explosions occur from behind and soon, there are three of them. Their white flame resonates to each other, causing a wall of while light.
I stop and stare at them. I can barely see through the brightly burning flame to see three humanoid shadows standing there, lightening the night forest. Above their head, I can see their Lv are still around 60 and their element is still Holy.
"What the heck was that?" The human stops beside me.
"I saw them drinking something and turn into this." The older lizard also reaches me. With a glance, I can see him supporting his wounded brother.
Soon, the Holy Knight catch up to me, and along with the human torches, have me surrounded. I stand up on my hind legs and look around. With my constricted wings, I probably won't have any hope getting pass them.
"We had to sacrifice three Holy Knights to stop you..." The high priest finally shows up. I could not imagine him running so fast in that robe, but it seems he did.
"Oh well." I drop the kid onto my hand to talk with a mocking tone. "You set your own comrade on fire, eh?"
"They did it with their own consent. Further more, drinking your blood has its price." The priest says then sighs.
"That's disgusting!" I exclaim with a frown.
"You don't seem to be surprised by that."
"Well..." I shrug. "As I knew that my tear could become a Legendary Artifact, I've already guessed that you gathered my blood for a reason."
"I will accept any punishment from you once we return to your Temple." The priest says then waves his hand, signaling the knights to advance.
Each of them are holding a glowing chain in their hands. The Apprehend effect returns to them every now and then, however the priest immediately dispels it.
The lizard lays his younger brother to the ground and draw out a tiny sharp object while the bare-handed fighter prepare to fight with my Toothpick.
"Since you want to fight, I will fight..." With the advantage of the Eternal: Apprehend spell and the boost that would soon disappear, I decide to do something.
"This is not a fight." The priest shakes his head. "We are just trying to protect you.. from yourself. Go!"
"Wind and Water! Work together! Whirlpool!" With the shortest chant, I start the battle.

A Fragmented Mind
"Hi there. My name is Richard Maddox, but my — admittedly nonexistent — friends call me Rick. I live in a world of superheroes and villains. A world filled with magic and physics-defying powers, and in this world, I'm just an ordinary, completely average 17-year-old boy. My imaginary friends, however, are as far from average as you get. You think you're good at deluding yourself? Well, stand back, because it's time for a master to show you his craft. Welcome to my life, the life of a madman." This story was originally inspired by the 'Legion' novella series written by Brandon Sanderson. If you've read those books and liked them, it might be worth giving this a read.
