Ben jumped away and unsheated his sword ready to fight, he knew he screwed up the moment the two monsters turned around. He hurriedly left the space covered with webs hoping that the blind creatures won't find him anymore, but was proven wrong almost immediately. They started moving in the direction of the group faster than the scouts could escape and enagaged in a fight. Arath decided to step forward and attract the attention of enemies. Even his improved senses and awakened eyes could barely follow when two pairs of thin but razor-sharp legs tried to make sashimi out of his body. With no intention to waste time he cut off the first leg and dogded the rest thanks to his ability. Time around him slowed down and and he finally felt safe, in the arms of Space Element. Another slash landed on the spider's enormous body but couldn't pierce it's thick armor.
'How do we deal with enemies like that?' He pondered. 'They are fast, strong and have tough skin. Also they can somehow easily tell our locations even though we are not on their web nor do they have eyes.'
"Clara I will need you help! Stab them with all you have when I give you a sign." He shouted to the girl and then proceeded to focus the monsters on himself.
With one spider on his right, the other on left, the situation was getting out of hand, continous strikes came from each side relentlessly. After few tries the man managed to get behind them and forced the monsters to turn around.
"Now!"
Clara rushed forward and jumped with everything she had pointing her spear at spider's abdomen. The weapon plunged deep and got stuck in the body of the creature making Clara's face go pale. Suddenly a defeaning screech shook the cave causing everyone's hair to stand up straight just like soldiers in an army ready to retreat. Clara, terrified, let go off the weapon and hurriedly backed away, but before she managed to get far the monster had already blocked her way. In a blink of an eye it bit the girl's arm and in a matter of seconds her lips turned blue and strength left her body. Like a doll, she fell on the floor with no control over her movements and soon blood started to flow from her head.

"NO!" Ben shouted and run towards her.
His skin hardened and all dirt surrounding him suddenly was glued to his body. The spider noticed the new enemy and just slashed at him with one leg. The hit was so powerful that not only did it cause the armor to crack but also broke the monster's leg. Arath thanks to the commotion got closer to the injured creature and stabbed with everything he had. It broke through the armor and penetrated, the spider which screeched once again and prepared to counter attack the annoying humans. This time around it was caught off guard. No matter how fast it attacked it's hits never reached their target. Arath giving it his best had already used up half of his magical energy and was slowly getting tired but haven't given up yet. Meanwhile Carl couldn't move and was just standing without a single thought in his head.
The second spider rushed to attack it's new prey but the giant body of the other monster blocked it's way. The first one frusrated with the mouse that kept running away screeched again and furiously charged ahead. Arath knowing there was no chance to evade pointed the tip of the sword ahead and closed his eyes waiting for the inevitable. To everyone's surprise the spider mindlessly got his head spiked onto the blade and after convulsing for a a few long seconds fell on the ground. Carl finally regained his senses and started screaming histerically. The other spider sensing the weak chain of the group attacked him and without much effort bit him in his leg. Carl didn't last half the time Clara withstood and fell on the ground like a log. Ben had tears in his eyes but still tried to help Clara. No matter how hard he tried and what he did, she wouldn't wake up, moreover her eyes were completely white and had no life in them. Arath finally out of shock pulled his sword out of the corpse and charged towards the second monster. This time it wouldn't be so easy however. The spider started to slash with it's front legs, keeping Arath at a distance. Arath tired as hell, couldn't keep up anymore and tried his best to stay concious. Ben with no offensive abilities got hit over and over again losing huge parts of his armor without dealing any damage. Feeling it's enemies weakness the spider jumped towards Ben and bit him, deciding on the outcome of the battle. Arath looked around and with the remaining strength cut off the spider's hind legs. It lost it's balance but didn't stop the attack. One hit after another missed the boy by a hair's breadth and slowly his movements became slower. Spider didn't seem to be tired even the slightest bit and just kept on going with no care in the world. When all hope seemed to have abandoned Arath and his struggle was about to end, suddenly light appeared in the corridor together with voices of many young people. A slim woman in light armor entered the room and when she noticed the scene unfolding before her eyes she was at a loss of words. A young man was fighting a giant spider all on his own with fallen comrades all around him.
