The rest of that day's expeditition passed by rather peacefully, being part of such an experienced team proved to be refreshing for Arath as he could finally relax and rely on others. Elizabeth never failed to surprise him with her leadership skills and calmness no matter how tough a situation presented itself. At the end of the day the group walked out of the Tower and shared loot, Arath received eight denars as a payment for his work.
'That's not much but still something, the job is hard and exhausting but much safer that what I previously did. Maybe I should consider joining them permamently? I mean the people are great and we can achieve much more together compared to what I can do alone,' He pondered while walking home.
Clara was still lying in her bedroom unconcious with Anga sitting by her side and making sure nothing happens. Bogun and Donna were sitting in the living room talking and when Arath entered the flat they smiled and greeted him. He took a quick bath to get rid of all the dust from the dungeon and prepared to cultivate.
"Ears, eyes and frontal lobe - this is my arsenal so far. I need something more offensive, dodging all the time won't let me defeat most enemies, the spiders proved that. The only problem is that it is much harder to awake something that isn't near an already awakened organ. The final goal now should be my hands but my energy must be able to flow freely back and forth. What is something that connects all of it?" He thought out loud. "What would be the fastest way from head to arms and then hands?" He imagined his body and started to look for something that could suit his needs.

"What about the spine? Nerves are hard to awaken and they take a lot of time. Bones on the other hand are most of the time much easier." Suddenly a female voice interrupted his thinking process.
Arath looked around trying to find it's source and after a while his eyes locked on a smiling face on the other side of his slightly opened window.
"Will you let me in or keep me here in the cold?" Elizabeth asked and knocked on the window.
"No, I don't think I will." Arath got up, closed the window and shut the curtains. When he heard a loud sigh outside, he started laughing and finally let her in. "So what brings you here? And how did you even know where I live?"
"I just wanted to talk, because you seem to be a rather interesting fellow. And I was right, you are not even twenty years old and you live in such a big apartment and have already awakaned so much." She nonchalantly sit on Arath's bed and started to explore his room with her eyes.
"And how did you find me?"
"That's easy, I just followed you." She smiled.
"I'm not sure how I should react to that." He chuckled nervously.
"That's a compliment. But changing the topic, why do you want to have offensive abilites? I know Space Element is rare and everything but it's not that good. You can create a dimensional pocket, make a Gate and teleport. And you've got enhanced senses, that's it. These are more of supporter's abilities not fighter's ones, no offence."
"None taken, but you don't see Space Element's full potential." He shook his head.
"Is that so? Then enlighten me."
"I would prefer to keep my ace hidden." He had no intention to reveal his cards to a stranger.

"So you are all talk and no trousers? Let's make a deal, tomorrow we will go to the Tower alone and you will show me how you managed to fight with that Giant Cave Spider on your own and in return I will introduce you to another Space Elementalist who can give you some pointers. What do you think?" She proposed
"Who is this elementalist?"
"An old friend of my father. He used to be an advisor to the Council so his knowledge isn't something you can find on the street. Also he is the only living Space Elementalist that has reached Advanced Level. So?"
"Alright, but just the two of us." He finally agreed.

First floor of dungeon was almost empty after a week of constant fights inside, and some more renowned mercenaries were said to have been planning to take on the boss in the near future. The situation wasn't simple because even though the first floor is called "newbies' heaven" the second one is "daredevils' tomb". Many adventurers got cocky after easily exterminating almost all monsters on the first floor only to be surprised and slaughtered on the second one. This was why the experienced elementalists gave newbies and heroes time to learn on the first level.
Arath and Elizabeth had problems to find even the weakest opponent and only after half an hour of searching they found an adult blestol.
"I think this is our best bet. It's going to be hard to find anything stronger now, at least if we don't want to go too deep."
"I will try not to kill him too quickly." Arath answered, unsheated his new dagger and moved towards the enemy.
Blestol heard him and almost immediately turned around with the intention to charge head on. Arath almost as if it was boring, turned on his ability just a moment before he was going to be nothing more than a bloody stain, on the floor and stepped to the side. In one fluent move he made a piruette and stabbed the creature in it's neck killing it on site. All that in under a second.
Elizabeth opened her mouth wide and couldn't close it for few long minutes. Finally when she realised how stupid she was looking she looked around in disbelief and asked.
"What the hell was that?"
"I told you, you underestimate Space Element."
"But how did you do it so quickly and how... Just how..." She still couldn't believe what she had just witnessed.
"I showed you what I can do, now it's time for you to fulfill your part of the deal."

The Designated: Out of Control
It happened quicker than anyone would have imagined. Multiple hurricanes were one thing. People had dealt with that in the past. But, like kids playing dominoes, one thing crashed into another. Areas affected by hurricanes needed resources all along the Gulf and East Coasts drew rescuers and resources away from other parts of the country. When wildfires lit up the Pacific coast and mid-west, those areas were already understaffed. Driven by hurricanes in the Pacific basin, uncontrolled wildfires burned through towns, destroying everything in their paths. Across the Pacific, Asia didn't escape. From the Philippines, across China, into Indochina, and Bangladesh and India. Typhoons and cyclones pounded the coasts and far inland. Widespread flooding forced millions from their homes and across international borders. Mexico was hit hard and thousands died in mudslides as Katia slammed into their East Coast. The refugees fled north and west. Rumours started that hundreds of thousands were headed for the US border. Instead of running out of steam in the southern US, several hurricanes tore up the eastern seaboard, devastating cities and renewing their strength before veering east across the Atlantic. Maria and Ophelia veered east and slammed into Europe, reaching as far as the Netherlands and Russia before finally dissipating. After that, too many weather stations were offline to provide any form of co-ordinated information or warnings. Wildfires in Portugal burned ahead of the storms, fanned by hurricane winds. They sparked wildfires leapfrogging across Europe, beyond any one country's ability to cope. Already uneasy from multiple terrorist attacks over the summer, anti-refugee groups seized the opportunity to stage protests across Europe. Some turned violent as they clashed with police forces. Several governments declared martial law to quell the rioting and enforce evacuations along the path of the storms. Rumour and speculation overwhelmed facts. Unrest spilled over into widespread violence. Then sickness broke out in the displaced populations. Within a matter of a dozen weeks, tens of millions died. In the coming winter months hundreds more would follow. The Designated Project was activated.
