《Rebirth Of A Serial Killer》Chapter 5 - A Single Shot

A couple of days after the Nightmare Mansion a mysterious youth stood outside of a local police station. The youth had black hair and blue eyes. He was also wearing a baggy sweatshirt with his hands in the pockets.
Next to the youth was a teenager walking to school. The teenager was looking at her phone, casually looking up to make sure she wasn't going to run into someone.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see a young boy standing outside of the police station. The youth had his hands in his pockets just looking at the police station.
The teenager even though she was running late to school decided to stop and ask if anything is wrong. Putting her phone away, the teenager moved closer to the boy.
"Hi! My name is Stacey. Are you lost?" (AN: Right the mc is around 5 ft tall, and has a young-looking face)
The boy looked up at Stacey and gave off a slight grin before opening his mouth.
"Ah, yes… I lost sight of my mom."
Stacey looked around for a moment to try and find someone that looked panicked. Once she knew for sure that his mom wasn't around she looked back at the boy.
"Why don't we go inside and tell the officers."
The boy kept quiet and just kept looking forward at the doors of the police station. After a couple of awkward moments, the boy spoke.
In a soft voice, "Okay...".
Stacey reached out for the boy's hand and brought him inside of the station. Inside there was only an officer behind some glass. The officer looked up and gave a smile when he saw them.
Stacey brought the youth to the glass window and started to explain the situation with the officer. After a brief explanation, the officer understood and over to the boy.
"Hello! May I know your name?"
With a confident smile, the boy responded, "White Rose".
"Wh-" Before the officer could finish, the boy already grabbed Stacey's arm and took out a knife. The knife was pinned up against Stacey's neck.
The officer behind the glass quickly pulled out his weapon and aimed it at the boy. He couldn't shoot him in the risks of shooting the teenager.
The man started to yell for other officers to come to the front, yelling 'He has a hostage'. Officers started to swarm the front of the police station with their weapons drawn.
There was a slight calm moment before all of the officers yelled for the boy to drop his knife. The boy slightly cut into Stacey's neck, Stacey winced from the pain.

Several drops of blood started to hit the floor below her. The officers started to get an idea of the situation and stepped back a couple of steps.
A few short minutes passed before the whole police station was put into lockdown. The original officer that was behind the glass was now talking with his captain.
"John, What happened?" The captain asked with a deep voice.
"Captain, the girl brought in the boy telling me about how he lost his parents. Then, when I asked for his name he said "White Rose". That's when he grabbed the girl and put a knife to her neck."
"Wh… White Rose?"
John nodded slowly, the captain's face darkened after hearing the name.
Back at the front of the station, the officers were discussing how to deal with the situation. As they were talking, the captain came out to talk to them.
"Everyone! This boy is no other than the White Rose."
When the officers heard 'White Rose', they all gripped their weapons stronger. The White Rose killed multiple of their officers and a lot of the men in the room wanted to kill him.
With the knife still on Stacey's neck, the boy had a huge grin on his face. He was on the verge of laughing at the sight of the officers.
"Haha! Yes, Yes. I am indeed White Rose, the one that killed your fellow officers."
White Rose looked at one of the officers looking at him. The man had a white grip on his weapon and his face full of anger.
"Haha! You!" Letting the knife off of Stacey's neck for a second pointed to the officer.
"You really want to kill don't you? But… You can't because of her!"
White Rose put the knife back on Stacey's neck.
The officers were furious with White Rose, but couldn't do anything with the hostage.
"White Rose! You and I both know you won't come out of this alive if you kill this girl. There are more than ten trained officers in this room with more than twenty coming."
The captain was slightly nervous speaking to the devil himself.
"Haha! Don't worry Captain, I'm not here to kill this girl."
The captain was shocked when heard the words come out of the devil's mouth.
'Not here to kill? Then what else would he be doing? Games!'
"I'm not going to listen to your words, you only play games with people's lives!"
"Yes, very true. Though, this time I have another objective in mind."
The White Rose loosened his grip on Stacey and threw the knife across the room. He then pushed Stacey towards the officer before raising his hands into the air.

All of the officers were slightly shocked at the scene unfolding in front of them.
One of the officers rushed forward to retrieve Stacey and bring her back inside of the office. The other officers moved slightly closer to White Rose. All of the men still had their guns pointed at White Rose.
Even though most of the officers wanted to kill White Rose, they couldn't kill someone not armed.
With already an attempt to arrest White Rose before, the officers knew not to get close. In case he had another weapon on him.
"Keep your hands above your head!"
White Rose did as he was told. One of the officers brought out his taser and instantly shot White Rose. This time, he fell to the ground with sounds of pain.
Another two officers moved forward telling the boy to put his hands behind his back. Once they were behind his back they quickly moved into put cuffs on him. Along with putting cuffs on him, they did a quick search of his person.
Once they knew for sure he didn't have anything on him, everyone put down their guns. A sigh of relief could be felt all throughout the room. Not only from the police officers but from White Rose himself.
'Good, They didn't shoot me. Quite a gamble I took this time.'
***
Every news channel around the country reported on the arrest of the White Rose. After interrogating the suspected White Rose killer, they confirmed it was indeed him.
News reporters filled into Charlesville and surrounded the police department. The police department had to shut their doors from letting any of the reporters in.
Shortly after the arrest of the White Rose killer, he was going to be transferred to the federal prison across the state. When the news crews outside of the station caught wind of what was going to happen they all got ready.
Several news cars brought out large cameras and pointed it at the doors of the station.
Not only were there news crews outside of the station, but there was also a crowd of people. Inside of this group was an older looking man. The man had a black hoodie on with black jeans.
Keeping his hands in his pockets, the man was playing with something in his hands.
***
After three hours after the announcement of the transfer to Federal prison, White Rose was set up with everything. His hands with cuffed, he had cuffs around his legs. There were ten officers armed and ready to take him to prison truck.
The police department could have done the transfer to the truck secretly. Though, after everything he has done they did it outside of the station.
After a couple of minutes, the doors of the station opened. Several police officers came out to clear the crowd away and keep them away when White Rose came out.
Next, several officers came out in a tight formation with White Rose in the middle of them. White Rose's head was forced to the ground, people were shouting and the cameras were rolling.
Several people pushed past the officers meant to keep them back. They all ran in the hopes to beat up White Rose after killing so many people of the town.
Some of the officers that were around White Rose had to move out of formation to block the people.
***
The man in the black hoodie saw people start to rush past the police and try to make it to White Rose. The man held onto the object in his pocket and started to move quickly towards the front of the crowd.
When the police around White Rose moved to block the people, the man took out the object. The man had a pistol and aimed it straight at White Rose.
*Boom!*
With a quick snap, the bullet left his gun and traveled at White Rose. The bullet struck White Rose in the chest, causing him to collapse to the ground.
The man had tears flowing from his eyes after he saw White Rose hit the ground.
"I did this her! You sick bastard you killed my only daughter!"
***
A single shot rang out from somewhere in the crowd. A sharp pain hit his chest. Looking to his left he saw an old man with black clothing on and tears in his eyes. The man was holding a pistol and shouting something. Though, he couldn't hear what the man was saying but could see his mouth moving.
'Fuck… I didn't mean to die this early.'
Blackness filled his eyes, a warm feeling erupted from his body. In his ears, the sound of shouting was no longer there. Now it was filled with light music and peace and quiet.
'Ah… I had a good run.'
Blackness finally filled his vision, the music stopped and all there was left was darkness.

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. They never called, yet he is here (censored edition)
Introduction:Not every world needs a Summoned Hero, even if it is possible to summon one. No, really! Everywhere, no matter the time, there are always good people who can use glory, power and personal harem themselves. And the one who was summoned? He is just a resource, nothing more… Translation of the original novel by Avada KadavraThe uncensored version is available here.Authors notes:This is just my take on the whole Hero Summoning thing, where a hero happened to survive.Fatal mistake, an error in a well-oiled mechanism that lasted for generations, gave a Hero a tiny chance to decide his own fate. After all, bad guys never expect a Hero to come, yet, the fucker still does.Partially inspired by the series “You summoned the wrong one” by Aitbaev T.A. who was in turn inspired by “Rise of the Shield Hero”.I have to warn you, Aibaev’s work of fiction is pretty out of ordinary, it makes one breath fire, cry until tears turn to blood and laugh to unconsciousness in equal measure.
