《Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)》Chapter One: The Radiant Pool (Part Two)

The creature was not an insect at all. I made out the silhouette of a slender humanoid figure. The being was no taller than the length of my pinky, yet it had the shapely form of a petite female. She had mosquito-like clear wings that flapped endlessly as she hovered. Atop her head, she had a long swath of nearly black indigo hair that ran all the way down her back, over her backside and ended just before the heels of her feet. I couldn’t really make out a lot of details at this point, but I could tell she wasn’t completely naked. However, the small violet cloak she wore was quite translucent and only seemed to be opaque over her breasts and womanhood. Her skin underneath was a milky white and with her violet lips, she almost had the look of a porcelain doll. The difference was that, by no means, was she creepy looking, her face was soft and had a rather familiar look. A familiarity that grasped at the back of my mind but couldn’t quite get ahold of what it was searching for. It was then that I discovered it was her clothing that was giving off her distinct glow, not necessarily what I assumed was a pixie. Both her lush hair and skimpy apparel seemed to defy gravity and flowed around her as if she was underwater. If she wasn’t so small I was certain I would catch an occasional peek of what little she had hidden.
From her expression, I could tell she was doing precisely the same thing as me; studying me to try and figure out what I was. She let her eyes wander from the tips of my bare toes up to the top of my slowly drying head. Seemingly, she wasn’t quite satisfied with her inspection as she hovered around me once more before coming back to the front. I was a bit too weary to be concerned about my nudity and it didn’t appear if it bothered her either. At this point in my life, despite spending many summers running around in the woods with my friends, I never really was that athletic. Although I was thin and relatively healthy, I had a lanky wiry form expected of an average male my age. The cool air and tepid pool I was sat in at the time hardly did me any favors below. In that respect, I was fairly average, maybe slightly above, but I was certainly no porn star.

Then I heard the faintest of noises emanate from the minuscule girl. Her mouth began to move as if she was talking frantically throwing up her arms and looking generally annoyed; however, I couldn’t quite make out what she was trying to say to me. It sounded like I was listening to a chipmunk at a very low volume. I cupped my hand against my earlobe in an attempt to try and hear what she was saying more clearly. With a realization, the diminutive lady pressed both of her tiny hands against her face and let out a cute high pitched sigh. She held out her hand raising her index finger apparently requesting me to wait a moment. She pressed her hands together closely like she was praying, stared fixedly at them and bit her lip like she was concentrating intensely.
The moment she began pulling her hands apart in a diagonal fashion, her body similarly grew proportionally in size. My eyes widened in astonishment at the sudden change. As if being in this mystical cave with a scantily dressed fairy wasn’t enough, her ability to easily change her size was more than I could handle. She grew quite a bit, yet she was still no taller than my forearm and nearly as thin. My mouth hung agape as I could make out the details of the magical creature much more clearly. She had light speckled spots just above her cheeks crossing the bridge of her nose. When her face shifted, her freckles sparkled like glitter. She still remained rather petite, but her breasts were at least a B cup and her hips were proportionally flared. Besides those details, her outfit was still hiding her most private areas. Although with her attractive form only a foot away from my face, my sluggish mind was forced to wake up and I could feel my cheeks grow warm. I had a sudden desire to cover myself since I started to feel a bit self-conscious about the situation. Despite my embarrassment, a part of me felt it would be even lamer to try and cover myself. I would look like a total boob.

Other than a briefly raised eyebrow, the one and a half foot tall woman didn’t seem to react to me any more negatively than before. Instead, she again attempted to communicate with me, “Who are you, stranger manling? Why are you laying in my font? I was just on my way to see Mother when all of a sudden I heard a loud noise. I thought my chamber was collapsing but when I came back I found you here.” Her voice was magical and adorable at the same time. There was a very slight crystalline tinkle in her voice that emphasized all her strong consonants and even with the slightly high pitch, her vowels flowed out of her like golden honey pouring atop soft-serve ice cream. Yes, hard to imagine, but if you ever heard a pixie talk you’d know exactly what I was trying to describe. Although my brain made sense of what she said, it didn’t quite send the news to my body to respond before she let out a questioning, “Hmm?”
