《Destroy The Heavens!》Chapter 28-Unstoppable.

The sky is painted in a dark red terror; the ground beneath lies scarred and blanketed in ash as a figure strides forth through this desolate landscape, unhindered and unafraid. His eyes are locked firmly on the center of this land, on the peak of the tallest mountain, on his next target. With each step, the charred and ruined land beneath him seems to tremble intangibly.
As this figure advances, with each step, with each stride, the very air around him warps and twists to his will. The volcano that once towered over all this land seems to shrink back at his very presence. This figure's cloak streams past him, revealing his face...and his boundless crimson eyes.
Astraoth steps forward, only a pace away from his target: the volcano at the center of the east, the volcano at the center of this broken land. His eyes brighten with an otherworldly crimson, and energy twists around him, lifting the boy gently off the ground. Astraoth's gaze shifts upward slightly, and he rockets into the air, racing up the volcano's side. In mere minutes, Astraoth reaches the top and scans across the summit, awaiting his prey's arrival.
Suddenly, a burst of flame explodes out of the volcano's peak, revealing a colossal figure, a true Flame Colossus. With magma and pillars of flame curling around the giant, its terrifying aura permeates throughout its domain. As the Demon's energy sweeps across him, Astraoth closes his eyes softly...

"How can I defeat this monster, this demon?"
..."How did I defeat the others?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oromius hovers quietly outside the tomb, desperate for Astraoth's success. "Astraoth...Remember your birthright, remember your inheritance...Remember, you are heir to the Demon King and among demons, you are Supreme; among demons, you are Unstoppable."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Astraoth's eyes snap open and his face twists into a vicious smile and a massive wave of bloodlust radiates from him, causing the very air around him to warp and distort in his wake. Astraoth's eyes shift slightly upward and he stares at the Flame Colossus, his feet lifting slightly off the ground as his eyes once again glow with an eerie crimson darkness.

The giant launches a mass of magma and flame at Astraoth, releasing his demonic power to its fullest as it begins to gather power from the surrounding volcanos. Astraoth's cruel smile distorts even further as he feels a power awaken from deep within, responding to the waves of demonic power surging from the Flame Colossus.
The giant barrages Astraoth with enormous balls of magma teeming with demonic power. One especially large ball appears near Astraoth, and as it arrives only centimeters away from his face, it stops instantly. Astraoth pulses with a crimson energy and all of the Flame Colossus's attacks halt instantaneously. Astraoth stretches his arms out as his cloak streams out behind him, his eyes flashing with a devilish light.
"You, my large, large friend, are a very powerful demon indeed. Even while restricted so heavily, you still nearly managed to kill me. But you made a mistake. See, I may be young, and my true form may be sealed, and I may not even know what I really am...", Astraoth remarks, his face darkening,"But among demons, I reign supreme; among demons, I am Unstoppable."
The demonic power swirling around the Flame Colossus is suddenly dispersed and it begins to flow to Astraoth, creating a pillar of fiery energy around the boy. The balls of magma Astraoth halted suddenly start to move again, but this time, they rocket toward the Flame Colossus. The demon raises two hands of lava from its home inside the volcano and sends streams of magma to meet the balls flying at it. They collide, and the balls of lava are swallowed by the Flame Colossus' attacks, and they splash to the ground as their momentum wanes.
The giant collects lava from the volcano below but fails to launch any powerful attacks as Astraoth siphons off its energy. Astraoth rises further off the ground as he collects more power, with flame and lightning forming around him as an immense amount of demonic power swirls around him. The dark power deep inside his body permeates throughout his being and Astraoth's instinct takes over; soon his mind is lost...

Suddenly, Astraoth rockets forward, arriving at the Flame Colossus in an instant. He reaches his hand out slightly and touches the Flame Colossus gently. The remaining power on its body parts and Astraoth's hand begins to drain the demon's remaining energy. As Astraoth waves his hand to the right, the Flame Colossus's very body breaks apart to follow, with part of massive amounts of magma forming its body ripped off.
Astraoth reaches forward once more, his eyes now dyed a deep crimson and he radiates a dark power; the Flame Colossus's body twists and contorts to Astraoth's will, revealing a dark red crystal core inside. The core floats gently to Astraoth's hand, as the Flame Colossus looks on in horror. As Astraoth grasps the core for the first time, he smiles a cruel, vicious smile as he slowly shatters the crystal as the light in the Colossus's eyes fade away.
When the core is completely shattered into pieces, Astraoth flips his hand over and watches as the remnants of the Flame Colossus fall to the ground and disperse in the wind, never to appear before mortal eyes again.
Astraoth gently floats to the ground. The mysterious power taking over his body and filling his mind fades away, and Astraoth falls to the ground, having finally awakened part of his true power.

The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Taking this as a sign that he was destined to rule over others and become the new king of this land, he poisoned his father, killed his elder brother, and embarked on the path to greatness, taking advantage of a demonic invasion to consolidate power and harvest the abilities of others in a cruel and bloody fashion. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
