《Regulating Miracles》(2-0) An Introduction on Justice (Jaxon Charlotte)

A distastefully sweet and metallic smell assaulted my nostrils, along with something I’ll only describe as burnt. It was like that since I regained consciousness, but there wasn’t anything I could do about it. They were already dead. Even I knew that much. He wasn’t the kind of person who’d accidentally let one live.
That made my condition even more insulting. I didn’t survive, he kept me alive. The brave tale of my survival was really the twisted tale of a sociopath’s charity.
No, it’s not even that. Even though I wanted to stand against everything he stood for, he still thought keeping me alive was a benefit to him.
It’s not like that affected anything other than my pride though. I was alive. And if I was alive that meant I still had a chance to help.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to help anyone either way. If anything, I was the one most in need of assistance.
I found myself in a position where I wasn’t sure whose blood was whose. Not that it really mattered. Once it leaves the body its ownership is ambiguous at best.
I tried pushing myself off the ground. I’d been out for, well, I don’t know how long I’d been knocked out for. But I couldn’t wait around any longer than necessary. I needed to check for survivors; even though I was positive there weren’t any.
Was it blind optimism that drove me, or was I just playing a part? Neither, and both. I had an ideal that I believed in. And I would follow that ideal, even if it ended up being a pointless one man show.
Justice will always prevail. I’ve lived my life believing that with everything I have, but you know, after the past few days that’s not sounding as convincing as it used to.

I was given a chance to fight for this justice I’m always going on about, and it ended with me getting absolutely crushed by a young girl before being tossed aside by a fairy tale character.
My second chance at defending justice led to our current scene, with me unsure how much of the blood soaked into my clothes came from my own body.
Clearly things hadn’t gone as planned.
Now that I’ve started to monologue I’m getting nervous. I mean, I’m not exactly important enough to be giving a monologue in the first place.
Or Clever enough.
I’m not sure if I’m one of the main characters. At this point, I’m not even sure if I’m one of the good guys.
Still, I think I’m the best man for this.
Probably.
If someone’s too involved in the story they’ll have trouble telling it.
Besides, they say you learn more from failure than from success.
A proper story would start during 1931, when humans first started developing augmentations. Or was it 2031? Which one was the twentieth century? Never mind, it doesn’t matter.
The point is, I’m not going to tell a proper story. Even if my history was at a level where I could do such a thing, nothing I have to say is worth that kind of buildup. I’ll just start with the day of the incident. The day I got transferred to the ARA.
Consider this nothing more than an anecdotal piece of a story much larger than the person telling it.

Warhammer 40,000: Mind over Matter
Set in the Warhammer 40k universe, but accessible to those unfamiliar with the setting. The Imperium of Man has been fighting the Long War for ten thousand years. It is a war fought simultaneously across thousands of stars and against innumerable enemies. On smoke-filled battlefields and in the cold emptiness of the void the military might of the Imperium stands strong in the face of horrifying foes. It is not a war fought to conquer new lands, or to seize the wealth of enemy nations. It is a war fought to hold what they have, or to regain what they have already lost. The world of Nova Iberia is far from that war and supports the Imperium by sending her finest sons to foreign stars to fight and die as elite commandos in the Imperial Guard. A chance discovery on the corpse of one of these commandos has cast doubts around the world's loyalty, and has drawn the attention of the Imperial Inquisition. The seekers of the Alien, the Heretic and the Daemon have descended upon this peaceful world, and they will not leave it intact. Primaris Psyker Amelia Lafayette was a ward of the state, now bound as an acolyte to the Inquisition in recognition of her telepathic gifts. Inexperienced, and browbeaten by her training, she must adapt to her new circumstances or fall. If she can navigate the tangled webs of heresy, and survive life in the Inquisition, then she may find the opportunity to prove herself worthy of greater authority.

A Student...Like You
Fighting over the most ridiculous stuff, trying to escape punishments using all sorts of tricks, bemoaning the non-existent cafeteria or perhaps, the soaring price of the food there. Arguing like mad with friends but then going back to them only, when loneliness sets in. Skipping assemblies, cursing the march past, the freedom of the PE period and the 'official' bunking for school events. The care of teachers, the craziness of friends, the feeling of first love and the endless notorious escapes...ah, those were the days, our cherished...school days! Author's Note: Hello, everyone! This is my first Web Novel. I'll upload one episode every Monday. Constructive criticism is most welcome! I hope you all enjoy reading the story! Thank You!!

Broken Kaleidoscopes
What if someone told you that there were dimensions alongside ours? Innumerable and impossible to even fathom. That no normal man could ever hope to understand, or even find a way to peer across the everdistant parallels that pervade the multiverse? Now, what if that same person told you that there existed a race that lived outside all dimensions? A race so powerful that, instead of being forced to play along with the rules of your own dimension, they could rewrite all aspects of reality with only a thought. Of course, you would laugh at them. I did too. Then I broke reality the next day. Pictures are not mine. In The Shadows (Star Trek TOS/AOS)
Gweynneth Rosenwyn (roz-EN-win meaning "fair rose.") Morvoren (mor-VOR-en, meaning "mermaid" or "sea maiden.") Congdon-Williams was new engineer/helmsmen on board the USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T Kirk. A close friendship between the two quickly formed and that friendship became love. I wrote this on two devices (School PC Google account and Apple notes) so the main characters name changes because of rubbish autocorrect.
