《Tales Of Narcinica》V1 Chapter 10 - Back Home (VOLUME FINALE!)

You may have wondered where Caleb was and the simple answer was he was heading to Terminal End. It was a normal forest with insanely evil aura. Caleb was trying to get away from his mistakes and did not want to return to Solitude. Even if it meant being punished by immortals.
Caleb walksled through the forest and stumbleed throughout his walk then all of a sudden. There in the far distance he heard something that sounded like a he had shot a bullet from a gun without ear plugs. It was and extremely terrifying sound. He recalled hearing it before though. He realized what it was. He knew that sound, it was the Giants of Terminia again. Some people had gone deaf from their atrocious sounds and war screams. Something felt off about these ones though. The giants were not getting closer as he first thought. They were getting farther and farther. Caleb tried to find a reason for this. He made up only one conclusion. They were heading to Solitude.
He was right. This was the first part of Terminia's evil plan. Keep the weak kingdom weak so that they could pounce. Solitude was not worried though because they only saw a few giants come their way. They had many more come and try to defeat them before. This encounter was extremely strange and Solitude knew it. The giants accepted defeat after about ten minutes of fighting.
They won by a landslide. All because of one person. Nobody was willing to defeat the poor beasts. Shadow had a bad history with the giants and she did not want them to win again. She got a great award by being offered a job in the government as a general for the entire army. She didn't take the job but she could take it anytime she wanted. Nobody cared about the giants at the time. Everyone was trying to find Caleb and the giants held them back a bit.

Back to Caleb, he rushed to Solitude. But nothing. Everything was extremely dusty and this recalled a memory he had a few years back. There she was. Shadow with her sword covered in blood and her standing on a giant.
"Hiya Caleb. Care for a drink?" Shadow shouted out.
Caleb sat there in disbelief. He forgot how much he missed his friends. He was extremely upset for leaving Solitude like he did.
Everyone encouraged him to come back to Solitude and after hours of consideration he decided to come back as a humble employee for the Oyster Shop. He was prepared to start over and even with all the hate he got afterwards he still persevered.
I wish I would have let my hatred go faster than it did. I even recall tripping him to fall face flat in sand. I regret my actions. I think everyone did eventually. All stories end with a prince charming and happiness. This story does not. The people in Solitude never had the feeling of safety like Terminia did. I will end off the first volume with a poem that 500 people in Solitude gathered up and wrote. It is extremely simple and they only left off writing this poem after going their own ways. It is called Isolated in Solitude.
"Many kingdoms are big and grand.
This kingdom is sad and afraid.
Many kindoms stay and stand.
This kingdom is cut through by a blade.
The kingdom has stood the test of time.
Through many hardships.
Has many unhappy lives.
Many untold stories.
Many people willing to leave.
Many willing to betray.
Many needing money.
It is the most manipulative kingdom of all time.
It is Solitude a kingdom to shame."
