《Who Cares!!?》Chapter 23

After what all Jason told Alex, he said to him that he wanted to join in. Jason agreed for the sake of keeping Alex under supervision. He couldn’t just lose a get-away superhuman.
The next day, they both went to the zoo to investigate the man from Jira and finally know his identity.
The man had no pattern to collect the animal DNA sample, nor to his visits.
One day, he would come and collect the DNA of a crocodile, then another day, he would be collecting the DNA of an ostrich.
His timings were also irregular, making it impossible to know when and from which animal he would take a DNA sample from.
The man is undoubtedly crafty and cunning. Not only would he choose an unpredictable time, but he also would not let anyone near him.
Jason observed that the man would travel with a ring of at least 12 people.
And every time he would try to come close, the 12 people stop him.
The 12 people would change every time the man visited the zoo, making it impossible for Jason to know who is with Jira and who is not.
Every time Jason or somebody else who supposedly was not part of the group come near the man, a crowd would rush out of nowhere to conceal the man making it sure nobody gets to him.
The only thing that would not change is the zoo. He would always only pick this particular zoo.
The reason couldn’t be found, but he would always come to this particular zoo.
Jason and Alex’s job was to implant miniature microscopic cameras all over the park to finally expose the man.
They went early to get a head start began planting the cameras.
‘Hey, I know this might be a dumb question, but couldn’t you just arrest the guy using your authority? You did say that WS is the most influential and powerful organization in the world.’

Jason gave a sigh. His face said it all “If only life was that simple.”
‘Arrest him? I could even kill him. WS agents have the authority to kill any person except those related to WS, and no charge would be pressed against them.’
‘Am I related to WS in any way?’
‘No’
Alex confirmed that even with Jason, the man who said he will protect him, he was not safe and gently took a step away from Jason.
'You and that man are related to Jira, and I have 2 reasons to not kill or arrest him:
1.Killing him will not give any intel on Jira
2.Even if I arrest him, unless I lock him up in the WS jail cell, Jira will have him out in the next hour.
Jira is the only organization that rivals WS in authority so-’
Jason sensed something was wrong and looked back to confirm it. Alex was nowhere to be found.
‘Eh… Alex?’
He looked around to see if Alex was nearby but still nothing.
--Did he got separated? How?
Jason then heard a faded voice from the back of a nearby cage and instantly recognized the voice.
‘Come on, even though it might be funny, it’s still not nice.’
’ALEX!!!’
Furiously, Jason called him.
‘Oh, hi Jason, I was just having a conversation with these bears’
‘This is not the time to-’
It suddenly hit Jason.
‘You…can talk to bears’
He was dumbfounded.
‘Yeah sure, it’s not hard once you understand the frequency, pitch, facial and hand expression.’
The brown grizzly bear which was leaning towards the cage also nodded in response to what Alex said.
Alex could see on Jason’s face that even though he was still angry and acting all serious, behind all that, an amazed child was saying, “That is so cool!!”

When Jason and Alex were implanting the cameras near the bears’ cage, Alex saw that the bears were laughing.
Jason paid no attention to the bears and continued supposedly talking to Alex.
However, after a minute hearing, those grunts and ruffs magically began to be understood as elementary and primitive words.
Jason walked on ahead, thinking Alex was behind him while he stayed. Words then became sentences and finally, an entirely understandable conversation.
The first sentence that Alex fully understood was, “That fellow is stupid.”
A bear was pointing his paw towards Jason, who was busy implanting cameras, making the other bears laugh.
Alex called out to bears and had a surprisingly good conversation.
‘You want to know what they are saying?’
Alex smugly said after seeing through Jason’s poker face.
Jason gave a fake cough.
‘No, I do not.’
Jason gathered his composure and scolded Alex,
‘You tell me what is more important, some bears or this mission.’
He took a deep breath.
‘I am going on ahead, join me if you wish.’
Jason walked away, mumbling to himself.
‘I should not have brought him with me.’
‘Hey, what do you think is going to happen to him?’
One of the bears answered Alex’s question.
‘Yeah, me too. Well I have to make sure that doesn’t happen to him, bye bears’
Alex waved goodbye to the bears and went as they waved back.
‘Hey Jason, hold up and just, so you know, they were making fun of you.’
‘I do not care.’
