《Elemental Online》Chapter 7

All the monster in the forest are now too low level for me to fight. I wipe out one more pack of White Fur Gorillas then move deeper into the forest.
I hope I can find the forest boss. That way, I can get some rare drops. In most games, people share where bosses are but since in this game, how much you know can mean a lot, so most people keep everything private.
I start to hear the sound of combat coming from nearby. I lower my body into a crouch and slowly waddle like a duck towards where the sounds are coming from.I push a bush out of they way and see where the sound was coming from.
It’s Damn... He’s fighting off a pack of Sabertooth Wolverines, and losing. He is strong but when facing off against multiple enemies, power is not everything.
“[Spinning Shadow Arrows]!”
Four large spinning arrows made out of darkness shoot out from the trees each arrow hits one off the Sabertooth Wolverines, causing critical hits, letting Damn kill them. Next, walks out a man in black robes. He has white hair black skin and piercing blue eyes. I recognize the race immediately: he’s a Nightman they’re a rare human subspecies closely related to vampires.
Damn finishes off the Sabertooth Wolverines but before Damn can take a break, two more sabertooth wolverines emerge from the woods. Now, I could save him or leave normally.
I would just keep on passing by but I owe Damn and I know he is an alright guy, just a little too much of the roleplaying so I’ll help him out.
I charge out in front of Damn and block the Sabretooth wolverine’s assault with my new sword. The sabertooth wolverines teeth clash against my sword, causing sparks to fly. The sabertooth wolverines are going crazy, clawing and snapping at me. One of the stray claws cuts into my leg.

35 points damage.
“Guy with the bone sword, get down!”
I hear someone call out to me, I quickly duck down. Two balls of black mass pass over my head and strike the Sabertooth Wolverines. The attack paralyzes the two Sabertooth Wolverines, just long enough for me to kills them.
Sabertooth Wolverine claw acquired.
Sabertooth Wolverine eye acquired.
I felt a great big hug from behind lift me into the air. The force from the hug made my virtual bones creak.
“It’s great to see you again, friend and hero of justice brother-in-arms!”
“I’m glad to see you too, Damn. But you are kind of crushing me, so please let me go...”
“I can’t, it is in the hero by-laws to hug like this for at least ten minutes a day.”
I think I would like to read these by-laws and make some changes. Before I get crushed to death.
“Put him down Holt! Or you will break him.”
“Shh! Joseph, we’re not suppose to use how real names in here!”
“You just used mine...”
Wait... Do these two know each other in the real world? And don’t they know you’re not suppose to use your real name in the game...
“Hey, can you let me go?”
“Oh sorry, that was over ten minutes.”
Damn or Holt whatever let me down. The guy named Joseph helped me up.
“Hello, I’m Midnight or as Holt said my real name is Joseph. You can call me either, I’m not fussed.”
“I think I’ll go with Midnight, And my name is Neon, nice to meet you.”
“Yes... Now that all the great three heroes of justice are assembled, we can start our great journey.”
I just ignored him and his ranting on about heroes and justice.

“So, how do you know Damn?”
“We have been neighbours since I can remember and before you can ask, yes... He is like this outside the game.”
“Hero named Neon, I see you have gotten a new blade of justice... It must contain some great powe-”
“So, how did you end up meeting Holt?”
“He saved me from a bunch of player killers.”
“Ah, just like him to go around saving people.”
“Great bone hero Neon will you join us on our most noble of quests”
Quest? Something I haven’t gotten since coming to this game...
“Quest... What kind of quest?”
“It’s a grand quest given to us from a borderless man who we saved. It is to rid this land from a dark rotten vampiric fiend.”
“Excuse me?”
“We saved a traveling merchant from some large spiders. That’s when he told us of the boss of this forest is the spider lord, a quest appeared and we accepted. You want to join in on the quest?”
New QuestArachnid LordDeep in the heart of Metal Tree Forest, there lies a large monster known as Giggin, the lord of arachnids. Spider silkAccept Quest?YesNo
This is my chance... I can complete this quest with Damn and Midnight without showing that I have no element. I push the yes button.
Neon has joined the Arachnid lord quest.
“Great... Now that the infamous bone hero Neon has joined our holy party, we can be on our way!”
Oh please... Don’t let him be like this the whole time...

Falling
It is often unclear when a thing comes to an end, the world itself no exception. In the event of the world ending, it was both abrupt and unnoticed, something down right confusing to most involved. Due to this confusion, we will quickly cover the short window of events that led to the destruction of the generally known universe, following the primary instigators to hopefully give the whole thing a little much needed context. ... Author’s Note: I intend to release regularly, hopefully weakly, within the planned three arcs. However, it may go on hiatus between arcs, but it should be clear that an arc has ended. Regardless, I currently plan to go on hiatus after the third arc, which is intended to be a natural breaking point. This is with the hope of not dropping off in the middle of narrative, and I am mentioning it now so no one is surprised if there are planned pauses. Content Warnings: I do not plan to include anything I would see as profanity, gore or traumatizing content. However, I do expect my bar for what qualifies is both above some people’s and below others. Therefore, I am including the Content Warnings so people are not surprised when my view is different. If you find something you do not like, I wish you luck in moving on without it farther concerning you. If I was not as extreme as you were hoping, I apologize for not meeting expectations. I have not marked sexual content, since I do not intend to include explicit sexual acts. However, sex and sexuality still exists and may come up as both an offscreen event or subject. Cover Art: The art work is by me, and I will take it down immediately at request from the artist.
