We reached the middle of the forest where a large cave was hidden inside the side of a cliff.

“Okay, so here’s the plan: Damn, you take the lead. I want you to use your fire element to light the way and act as the tank.

Neon, you will be the middle man, you will support Damn when he needs it and act as cover for me while I use my shadow element to give you both combat support.”

Wow, I have to give Midnight some credit... He got our battle position figured out pretty fast without even working with me for more than a day.

“Sounds good.”

“Yes, we have the almighty hero tactician, Midnight the valiant on our side. Now, let us vanquish evil!”

Why did I have to work with a roleplayer?A,it's really hard to take him seriously when his character is a terrifying demon with a huge axe.

We each checked our statuses and inventory and once we were all ready, Damn lit some bits of wood for me and Midnight so we could see in the cave then we entered the cave.

Dungeon: Dark Spider Cave System

I push the yes button the walls of the cave shimmer slightly then dull down.

“Be careful everyone, the monsters know we're here now...”

Damn ignites his axe then takes his position at the front, I draw my sword then move to the middle, Midnight takes his place at the back.

We move slowly keeping our eyes and ears open for the slightest monster.

“Screeee!!”

A nail biting cry comes from further down the cave.

“Damn, light it up!”

“A hero always lights the way, [Flame Stream]!”

Fire shoots out of Damn’s hand like a flame thrower. It lights up the darkness of the cave revealing the creature that made the cry. It's a big spider as big as a grown man's head, its body is black with big red eyes and sharp teeth.

“[Identify].”

So these are the monster of the cave... Kinda expected to see spiders but not something this ugly.

Damn charged the monster. I couldn't follow the fight exactly, all I saw was his glowing axe make streaks of fire.

“[Black Shock Spheres].”

Midnight shot off some of his black spheres, I couldn't tell if they hit anything but I did hear some cries of pain come from the monsters.

“Hero Neon, two of the vile spawn are making their way to you.”

Okay, time for some action. Two of the spiders come from the darkness, one of them leaps at me.

I block with my sword but the spider sinks its teeth into my sword. I see out of the corner of my eye the second one is trying to get to Midnight.

I hit it with my torch causing only slight damage but at least I've got it’s attention.

The new spider leaps at me so I duck down then roll under both spiders I find myself against a wall.

The two spider have me cornered...

They both leap at me, I block one with my sword while the other one sinks its big sharp teeth into my arm.

50 Damage.

Shit! I try to shake them off but they're both stuck in tight. I run and slam them into the other side of them cave. I feel their grip weaken but not dislodged.

“Neon, hold up them up!”

I did what Midnight said: I held both of the spiders up in the air while their still sunk into my arms.

“[Dark Bolt].”

A bolt of black lighting strikes the two spider throwing them off my arms and high into the air. Before either one of the creepy spiders can move, I cut down the last few points of their HP. Each spider disappears into little balls of light.

“I always hated spiders...”

“Well, be prepared we got some more incoming.”

We fought more spiders.

I took down around three more with the help of Midnight while Damn took down eight all by himself and Midnight killed two by himself. In the end, I reached level 6 and acquired five Black Spider Teeth.

Floor ⅓ Cleared

For my attribute points, I decided to save them for after the quest, you never know when they might come in handy.

“How is everyone's HP?”

“Let me check...”

“It’s looking alright, I’m only down sixty points.”

“Hmm... Alright, use a potion. Once we clear the next floor, what about you, Damn?”

“My hero HP is strong, only down about twenty points.”

How did his HP still so high? Did he take a potion or is he just really good at fighting? We continue down to the next floor using the stairs at the back of the cave and reach the second floor.

The fight was rough, the spiders on the second floor kept jumping off the walls to attack us. In the end, it took around twenty seven minutes to clear the second floor.

I quickly drank a healing potion bringing my health back up to max.

“All right, let us rest here for a little while then challenge the boss.”

I slumped down against a wall and rested my head. Midnight came over to me and sat down.

“How are you doing?”

“Just fine, some of these monsters got a few good hits in but thanks to a healing potion I’m back up to full capacity.”

“Good to hear... Be careful in the next fight though, it will be dangerous.”

“Shouldn't you be saying that to Damn?”

“No way, that big idiot doesn’t need anybody to look out for him.”

“And why is that?”

“Well he might not look it but he is a proficient in Judo, Kickboxing, Karate,Aikido, Taekwondo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Boxing.”

“Why does he know all those?”

“His family is crazy... They're each pro’s in some kind of martial arts and each one passed on something to him, that’s why he is so good at fighting in this game.”

“Then why does he use an axe, wouldn't some kind fighting glove be better?”

“Yes, it would be but apparently an axe is very heroic in his eyes.”

“Great Hero Midnight, are you telling Amazing Hero, Neon here the tale of the amazing great hero, Damn? Cause if you are, I should be the one to tell him!”

Damn sat down in right between me and Midnight he wrapped his arm around both of us.

Oh... What have I gotten myself into? For the next what felt like an hour, Damn told us the tale of how he was raised in the hero's house and trained in the hero way and then about how he a pet brown dragon named snuzzle.

I’ll admit, I blocked nearly all of it out.

“So what do you think of my hero tale?”

“... Fantastic...”

“Great then. Now, let us go vanquish the great spider evil!”

We headed down to the final floor. The cave was much bigger than the last ones we had been in as well as the entire cave was being lit up by the blue glowing walls.

At the back of the cave, there was a single huge spider as big as a tank. It has black with big red eyes and sharp teeth and the tips of its legs were pale white.

“Identify.”

Boss: Giggin the Cursed Arachnid Lord Level 8

Alright, looks like this will be tough but at least, we won’t need the torches anymore and I don’t see any other monsters around so that will make it easy.

“Damn, get Giggin's attention and keep it as much as possible. Neon, I want you to find the boss monster’s weak point.

There is one built into every boss so I’ll stay at the back and provide support and keep an eye open for any surprises.

Now, let’s get this boss fight underway.”
