Chapter 9
The Hall
The palace I trained at was where the upper-class clan members trained at, the people with status, skill and Oscaster blood.
The Oscaster clan was defined by it’s assets and blood. The Oscaster clan owned long stretch of land, and villages. The villages were mainly there to produce agricultural benefits such as vegetables and meat.
The villages may or not have Oscaster blood, but even so they could enter the training routines offered to people who had skill. This is where majority of there military power emerged from, the villages.
So far, I was secluded to the commoners from the villages, training camp, but now I was moved to the elegant and hospitable conditions of the main palace. A place made of beautiful and aesthetic patterns, materials and gardens.
The building itself could be also called an impenetrable fortress, mounted with a systematic way of putting watch towers so that the archers had an overall control of the enemy’s routes. There was knights and their enslaved summoned creatures to protect against frontiers.
The great mages had made such an advanced magic diagram that highlighted the exact trajectory, speed, power consumption to make highly advanced defense mechanisms and weapons.
This was the might of the clan. Except, these were all made of the greats of the past. The current stage of the clan was without any extreme talents.
The only thing stopping the clan from obliteration is the nature of the base, it was put high in the mountains near the forest of many ends. The forest of many ends was many of the ‘high’ breeding areas for magical beast, magical beast was able to manipulate magic, with the help of there magical cores. The cores were composed of pure elemental magic sealed within a surface of dark energy, dark energy was a mystical black matter.

If you consumed one of these cores, you could absorb one of the skills. But your bodily cells would weaken, if you ate a lot, your body’s cell would be broken down and you would completely die.
Anyway, the magical beast was very powerful, what with all of them being level 50 and above.
I finally entered the expanse of brilliant materials and design which complexity was beyond comprehension.
The palace was composed of 50 floors, each of which evenly being 3km by 4km, some of the floors would have the housing of the upper-class clan members, (Which shared some sort of blood relation to the head Oscaster’s).
The palaces floors would be fit with guards, and other luxuries. There would be many rooms designated to study for the scholars, and even entire archives filled with books, spells, alchemy, and other vast amounts of knowledge ready to be discovered.
Anyway, me and chandelle moved to the training hall. All I saw was many Noble children talking amongst each other, the training hall was an open area, exposed to the rays of the sun and the vibrant blue sky. Trees and wildlife was visible from this point on.

Jayke Cipher
Jayke Cipher was, to his limited knowledge, one of the last people alive. The apocalypse was not one that came slowly. When it struck Earth, it came swiftly. The monstrosities that roamed the outside world became an unavoidable hobby of Jayke's. Working from within a heavily defended compound, surveillance cameras and a plethora of subject material only cultivated an interest in strange creatures. Survival became lonely. Sanity was kept by indulging offhand desires, fulfilling flights of fancy when reasonable. When the compound is breached and all other options exhausted his only option becomes the pod. A mysterious capsule intended for virtual reality. Its producer, in light of the apocalypse, had released early. Months back he had ignored the last news broadcast regarding the pod and its promises. He knew it only as suicide. But better that than being eaten alive.

Keter
They called him "Keter"; The Top-Most; The Crown. An unsurpassable, unstoppable, unkillable soldier. Etched with a twisted set of morals and studded by an impossible drive for lachesism, Keter terrorized the world for ages. But time, you see, is a most patient thing. As sure as it gives, so does it take. Even the Crown saw the eternal spindle drawing on him. He blinked, for the last time, and saw a world anew. Synopsis. So, basically, I’ve gotten tired of all these stale mcs that keep popping up left right and center. Either they are painstakingly good-natured or horribly written ‘evil’ characters. So, here’s my take on the concept of a Villain. Someone ruthless, cunning, and not shy of seeking darker means to an end. Hell, as long as it’s effective, he’ll prefer the blacker side of business. The new world will be, like many others, one in a medieval-type setting with traces of magic and the like; though I hope to make better use of this than most others who simply steal ideas from classical novels or other sources.
