《The Blank Omnitrix》Spirit Lock
Advertisement
"That was your plan? Use a Spirit Lock on a mortal? That is a divine construct to imprison gods by utilising the supressing nature of their divinity's direct opposite. Fire for water, Light for darkness..
"
"I know what it does! I programmed it, however, for a different purpose."
The blonde woman's eyes widened a little bit.
"You…don't tell me you did what I think you're implying."
The Overseer's face twisted into a devious smirk.
" I used the spirit lock to chain his soul and continuously erode it to the point that by the end of a month, Mr.Wentworth will be nothing but an empty vessel."
"That is forbidden! If the others catch wind of this we're done for! Argh, I knew I should have stopped you before you went too far."
She said massaging her forehead. The Overseer had a surprised look on his face at the woman's outburst. His face took on a serious face right afterwards.
"You do remember what is at stake here, right? Let me tell you something, left alone that mortal, you dismiss so quickly will be my end. I finally figured out why I can't see him. His fate and mine are intertwined and at the end only one of us will survive. I am vital to the plan in ways, that everything will fall apart if I die! I had to change the timeline for god's sake!"
The woman recoiled in shock.
"What do you mean by that?"
The Overseer clasped his hands together and adopted a contemplating pose.
"Those bearing the mark of fate have always gone on to do great things. Revolutions, conquests, creation and destruction. Mr.Wentworth on the other hand is destined for much more than that. Because of him, the plan failed on the first time around. We lost and he was the one who tipped the scales to their favor. At that time I didn't know how a mortal had risen up to affect a war of the most powerful beings in all of existence. So I took over the position in this dump. A world where the only saving grace is being near the Nexus, hence the mortals in it acquiring a psychic feedback on other worlds and spreading them around as entertainment."
The woman listened raptly as a dawning realization gripped her.
"That's why you pushed for the position of Overseer you wanted to pay attention to him."
"Yes, and when I looked at his fate all I saw was that if he lived out his life and died finally of cancer, 'He' took his soul and immortalized it as one of his champions. A couple of Eras down the line, a new ascended being rises up. Stronger than all of us."

The woman was now gripping her arm rest in fear. The Overseer as if, oblivious to all that went on to say,
"So I subtly manipulated him, to kill himself but when he jumped, the damned mark intervened and a freaking meteor killed him before he could go splat on the ground and so…"
"You had to compensate him because according to the ancient laws, any direct death caused by a conceptual or ascended being is liable for review from the Primus of the wheel of life and death. You didn't want her to see the mortal and recognize his importance, so you gave the mortal a few downgraded benefits and sent him off to the multiverse while also hiding him from any prying eyes except for yourself."
The woman deduced the rest. The Overseer leaned back on his chair and sighed.
"Problem is, he began to grow stronger faster. So l locked down the one world he could gain the power to oppose me before I had a plan to take him down. all I saw was nothing. I looked into his future again and all I saw was nothing. I can't look into it again or it will alert 'him' so I just hope, The spirit lock will do its job well."
"What do you mean by hope?"
"The energy I left behind to track him has also been affected by the spirit lock. He's invisible to me now."
(Chris P.O.V)
The pain went on seemingly forever as I felt some alien vital part of me, dying. My partial awareness of my body showed that nothing was wrong with it. However a glowing outline of my body appeared in my mind with golden chains inscribed with runes along it's length, which shackled it and started feeding on it's light. Every second that the chains dug deeper onto my skin, the outline faded a little bit more.
Just as I was about to lose hope, a black color exploded from my Mutant gene and expanded to form a cocoon around me. Darkness finally claimed me.
(General P.O.V)
The whole world was in an uproar. Fire fist the 2nd division commander of the whitebeard pirates had been captured by the Marines. The story went that admiral Aokiji had
stumbled upon his whereabouts and after a successful fight, with him winning because of being the natural counter to Ace, had taken him prisoner.
On Chris' side the cocoon surrounding him had changed position and he was now in an obscure jungle island.
(Chris P.O.V)
I woke up to the sight of tall trees in my vision. My head was pounding with a killer migraine And I looked around frantically for my back pack before seeing it lying next to me. I tried to remember what had happened and apart from the battle with the fake Enel, all I could recall was loud sinister laughter. I channeled a little green to my head and the headache alleviated.

Now, down to the facts, Rod had sent someone to kill me, but that person had failed, he had also left behind something…I couldn't remember what it was though. I had also hopefully copied the sharingan…maybe?
I willed the textboxes, minimized at the edge of my vision to display themselves.
[Detected d.n.a from a sub-species of human. Copied and saved.]
-Option 1- intergrate. Incorporate the d.n.a into your body. Faces a 20% decrease in the d.n.a's ability. Comes with an awakened one tomoe sharingan. Subsequent forms will be awakened depending on #_&(:5"$54&.
-Option 2- fuse. Combine this d.n.a with another compatible one. All weaknesses will be removed.
ALERT: Intergration will come with the introduction of a chakra system into the host's body by a fusion of the spirit and the body. Proceed with caution.
'Ok, that's not ominous at all', I sweatdropped.
"Omnitrix, any compatible d.n.a I can fuse with the Uchiha d.n.a?"
"Negative."
I sighed. Of course it can't be that easy. I dismissed the text-box and another strange one came up.
[New color awakened!]
-black- Absorbs anything detrimental to the host below a certain value, then discharges it through the temporary manifestation of a random ability. Requires conscious use by the user and autonomous only when the user is unconscious. No benefits gained. Cannot work on normal biological functions and self inflicted harm. Can only absorb one thing at a time.
Huh? This…this was overpowered! After reading the text box a few more times, I laughed in happiness. Poisons and toxins were no longer effective on me anymore. Not that they were effective in the first place but my point still stands! Curses, illusions targeting the brain, hell even the force from a punch or kick. Although, the ability had limitations too. For starters, I wasn't sure by what it meant by only working on things under a certain value. Not to mention the fact that I might draw a random ability of self-explosion. That said, it was still a great ability…I wonder…could it work in removing a devil fruit's curse? Only one way to find out!
I reached for the backpack, and removed the fruit. I dulled my sense of taste, through Bio-kinesis and took the first bite. Even with all of that, I still felt nauseated by the horrible taste it had. Imagine all the grossest things you've ever eaten, mash them all up together and then dial it all up to 11.
Thankfully I finished and right under my skin I felt a web of power just begging to be used. I looked at my hand and flexed the power. It wasn't as quick to respond I had initially thought, but streaks of purple lightning escaped my hand in flashes. I smiled and got into a position. The speed of lighting was mach 350. Having just gotten the ability I didn't know how fast I was, but given past experience I knew I could clock at mach 300, more or less.
I pushed myself forward and shot off. The trees at my front were decimated and I found myself in the air falling, after jumping off a cliff. I created my wings and hovered, gently flapping them and marvelling at the feel of strength coursing through my veins.
I floated down to my previous position and sat down on a fallen tree. I now had the rumble rumble fruit. A fruit,Robin, had said was enough to make the user invicible. The weaknesses to sea water and kairoseki were the only disadvantages to the fruit. I also didn't know if it would work outside the one piece world but that was far off into the future.
I willed the black to get rid of the devil fruit weakness to sea water and suddenly a green eye appeared on my forehead. I started seeing visions of a world that lay in destruction and a group of people led by a man in blue…is that superman? The Justice league! But there were some new additions, I saw myself and Supergirl fighting side by side. She smiled at me and I felt my heart skip a beat. Suddenly my mind started hurting and the last thing I saw before the vision cut off was Darkseid's evil smirk.
I was on all fours, crouching while breathing hard.
"What...what was that?"
I touched my forehead and the eye that had appeared there was gone. The black was dangerous. Imagine being in a fight and a random ability like that activates, you would be distracted and a powerful enemy would know to take advantage of that. No more black unless things are dire.
I got up and surveyed the area.
"Now that I think of it, where the hell I'm I?"
