《Alpha Daryl Reeds》Chapter 21

Daryl was a nightmare, it was only day two with him but he would not stop snapping orders into the phone, having pack members bring papers and things to his bed. Which he decided to lay in my bed. He wouldn't take no as an answer and made me give back the bed I'd been sleeping in. He said that it was big enough for him to do all the work he needed to get done.
"Daryl!" I snapped ripping the papers out of his hand. Taking the phone from his ear as he was screaming orders at some poor person about Darren.
"Joyce now isn't the time." Daryl growled at me.
"Fuck off!" I screamed at him. "I'm so sick of you on the phone I'm so done with you being in bed yelling at other people doing your job." I was breathing hard. I was just so done. It was only day two! For fuck sakes.
"I have a pack to run." Daryl breathed at me.
"And you have a doctor to listen to! My fucking god Daryl you need to stop for a moment at focus on yourself because you could still die! And what good will you be if you're six feet under?" I cried. "I'm your mate aren't I? Isn't that why you didn't let me reject you? Why didn't you reject me?"
Daryl sighs relaxing against the pillows. "I'm sorry," he says to me.
I dropped the papers in shock that he listened to me. "Your right Joyce, really I get that you're supposed to be my mate, and I'm still an Alpha. My pack doesn't just stop when I get hurt. If you want you could pick up a few duties while I heal. I think I opened up my chest again so you might want to get the doctor." Daryl says while laying back on the pillows and pulling up his shirt to show me the wrap that was started to turn red.

I sighed in relief he was giving me a chance. I called up the doctor, and he came to fix up the wound, commenting on again no sex not like we were he should know his Alpha or maybe he knew just how much Daryl slept around and he thought I was just one of his play things.
Putting Daryl on bed rest I worked in his office away from him because he kept trying to tell me how to run his pack. I knew the basics of running it but I kept Kevin on hand in case I didn't know something. I would have asked Carson but he hasn't been Beta for long.
Daryl's office was a mess, and I mean I mess I couldn't find anything so the first day I spent cleaning it and filing everything away. The next day I made phone calls that were all written down on a piece of paper that said something about a call?
"Hello. Alpha speaking."
"Hi I'm calling for Alpha Reeds. This is his mate, he had your phone number written down saying you needed to speak to him?"
"I'm not talking to his mate about Alpha duties." He growled before hanging up.
This was going to be a long day, about half way through the day Kevin came in with a bag of food.
"Ah you look so much like Daryl." He says sitting down in a chair.
"Thanks." I snapped at him throwing down the phone as the fifth Alpha hung up on me.
"Don't say your Daryl's mate, maybe try I'm his Beta or something." Kevin says as he bites down on a fry.
I glared at him for a moment and passed him the phone. "I'm tired of phone calls I have more paperwork to file away and I could use the help Daryl is a mess I don't know how he finds anything under this mess."

Kevin gets to work on the phone having more luck than me. Which I don't mind honestly the less work to do for me. I couldn't wait for Daryl to be back next week. Even for a werewolf silver kills us, and if we're lucky it'll make healing slow almost human slow.
I leave the office at 6, knowing Daryl will want a full report of everything done today. I go up to him as soon as I get home. He's not laying down in bed and I almost freak out before I heard the shower going. I knocked on the door before I walked in so he at least knew I was going in.
Daryl didn't say anything, when I knocked so I opened the door, a crack in the hot air met me outside, and I realized just how cold the room was. I went in and walked over to the toilet where I closed the lid and sat on it.
Daryl didn't hum or sing or anything as he showered he just showered in peace. "Daryl." I say
He slides the shower curtains back, he's dark hair falling into his eyes. "Joyce?"
"So I did those phone calls and thanks for telling me that other Alpha's don't like speaking to women who aren't their mate."
He wasn't standing behind the curtains he was looking at me with his wet and naked glory. He was hot with a bodybuilder shape figure. He was big in his junk but not as big as the first guy I slept with but if he knew what he was doing he'd still be able to please me.
"What?" He asked as he grabbed a towel. I stood from sitting on the sink. I pulled my hoodie over my chest, showing that I wasn't wearing a bra.
"I said Alpha's are assholes." I said. Daryl wasn't looking at me he was busy drying his hair so it would stay out of his eyes.
"Why is that?"
I had pulled my pants down, I don't know why he had gotten out of the shower but hadn't turned the water off. Unless there was another person in there. A normal person would turn the water off.
"What are you doing?" Daryl growled at me. I turned my head to the side looking at him, he kept the towel in front of him so I didn't see anything but he's chest.
"Getting in the shower, unless you purposely left it on." I tell him.
I think that's the first time he realized he didn't turn off the water, I was standing in front of him naked as the day I was born. My nipples are hard as rock since I was cold for some reason.
I don't say anything more before jumping in the shower, it's empty for my sake. I turned the water up a little cause I like really hot water, when I felt Daryl's arms wrap around me.
He turns me towards him and he's lips meet mine.

Trials of a Magic Core
He was brave, and noble, and true. He was also a hunk of crystal floating in a magical circle, brought into existence by the self-styled "Greatest Magus of All Time" to be his personal intelligent magical encyclopedia, filled with every minutiae of the arcane this Magus could stuff into it, all ready and accessible at a moment's notice. But is simply knowing all there is to life? Can he strive for more? Should he? (Writer's Note:) I'm a pretty new writer, so expect delays, errors, inconsistent logic, plot holes the size of a small 4-wheeled vehicle, and a distinct lack of snark. At least from the MC. Also, yes, the cover is an image I made in paint. I have...NO artistic skills. It is a placeholder. Also, I came up with this idea in the shower after a nine-hour RRL binge. SO BEAR WITH ME.

Pillars Between Us
It started with the dent left by the Forest Sprite; A small crack in the ice that encased his memories. Curtis knew that something was off, realizing that he wasn’t who he thought he was and— perhaps Ellis wasn’t the one meant for him. --It's a fantasy novel set in a world where people inhabit on pillars-- (think of m*necaft sky block, you'll get what I mean) -- then give it a hint of action, mystery and (twisted) romance-- and it's influenced by Japanese fantasy light novels (cuz I read a lot of em'). But I'm sure it's a weird one cuz the style of writing isn't the Japanese to English translated kind of style but rather the orthodox English novel kind of writing (which includes a bunch of errors and broken English thanks to me!). In any case, if you're up for it, just beware the story starts out pretty slow.. I mean-- back then, I was still inexperienced ok! I'm gettin' better along the way, Hmmph!
