It was nearly midnight. And I was awake.
It was a full moon tonight and I could feel something inside me stirring but it was nothing compared to what new pups were experiencing on this night. For first transitioners, the full moon can be one that made us crazy. Our wolves would get stir-crazy and want to be released, thirsty to roam free on their own. There were no rules for the wolves once they were released from the human flesh, they were bloodthirsty.
For years after my first transition, Lilly hadn't made an ounce of a presence. She was trapped within and didn't make any movement to reappear. So with her gone, practically nonexistent, the temptations at the full moon didn't come out. But with her making a small presence when I touched Garret, and I heard and felt her for the first time in three years, something was softly stirring.
I had it under control though.
I sat on my pink Victorian couch, fan blasting as I was somewhat hot with a need to go out and release whatever part of her still existed. I read through my spellbook, refreshing my mind of spells that I had learned like they were on the back of my hand when training with Jemma. I felt it was always good to refresh even though they were embedded in my mind like a second nature.
As I continued to read, the hot feeling got worse.
I ignored it until I couldn't bear it anymore.
I gasped.
This feeling, this heat, is something that I'd never felt before. Not even with the weekly hot flashes did it feel like this. I was burning.
Soft pricks fell over my body, slightly making me whimper but also groan. It was a pleasurable pain I was experiencing and I couldn't understand why.
Garment after garment of my clothes left my body until I was naked. I groaned as this feeling racked through my body.

I wasn't sure what it was but I needed refuge- I sought refuge. I bolted for the kitchen for the bag of ice I had yet to use in some weeks now. I quickly made my way to my bathroom and turned on the cold water in the tub, motioning with my hand to have it fill faster. When it got to my desired height, I placed the whole bag of ice in the tub and quickly got in.
This may have helped a quarter with how I felt but not enough. I groaned in frustration and need and eventually dunked my whole body on the water, seeking something to take this heat away but nothing came. I stayed under water until I needed to breathe. My heart hammered in my chest as I rose, gasping for air as my hair clung to every inch of my face.
Over my pounding heart and gasps, I heard a continuous knock at my door. Rapid. Frantic. Desperate.
If it wasn't with how loud and quick they were knocking I would've ignored it. I got up, against my body's judgment and grabbed the silk robe off the back of the bathroom door, placing it over my drenched body as I walked to the door. I slipped a couple times here and there, water making it's way throughout my apartment as I walked.
Getting to the door that seemed to look like it wanted to cave in with all the banging, I unlocked and opened it. On the other side was Garret.
He was breathing heavy and his eyes were shifting colors. Between his usual bluish-green, to gold, to red. It was clear he was fighting for dominance but his wolf wouldn't let him. Before I could even utter out a syllable, he pushed into the apartment, quickly closing and locking the door.
He leaned against it, breathing heavy, his back facing me.
The fiery feeling only bolden now that he was here but that didn't stop me from asking the question that burned in my mind-

"Why are you affected?" I questioned. "You're... an Alpha... you should have this under control."
If possible, his breathing grew deeper. "It's not the moon that is changing me," he said as he turned around, his eyes now blaring red. "It's you." I heard his wolf, Thadus, talking through him. He was now under complete control of Garret in his human form. The look of confusion on my face made him continue as he stepped closer to me. "You're in heat." His deep voice made my body yearn for him, every word, every syllable, toyed with something in my body and made me even hotter and wetter. "I can't smell you, but I can feel it." He was right in front of me, his hands tracing over my body over the silk robe. "I can only imagine what you smell like..." he says, his hands undoing the ties of my robe, opening it. "And taste like."
I gasp as his warm hands made contact with my still wet skin. I loved the feeling of his callous hands against me, and I wanted more. I needed more. His nose rubbed against my face before touching mine and looking me deep in my eyes. I could feel my eyes changing, Lilly loving this sudden attention from Thadus. His deep red eyes looked into mine, enthralled with the change of my eyes. I could feel them, as my vision changed from regular to icy blue.
"Let me smell you," he said.
Without a second thought, I brought up my hand, the candles throughout my apartment lighting and giving me the privacy I sought after. Looking Thadus deep in his eyes, I closed mine for a brief moment, channeling my scent to come out. Ever since my masking spell with Malena, it made it easier to cover it or expose it.
I knew he could smell it once his face was in the crook of my neck, smelling me like I was one of those perfume ads in a magazine.
With him, he couldn't smell the fact that I was a rogue. My natural scent overtook the scent of me not being on my own pack's territory and drove him crazy.
"You're intoxicating," he said, his lips and tongue dancing around my wet skin, making me gasp from need and want. "I want you so bad."
"Please..." I beg breathlessly. "Take this heat away from me."
"I want to mon chéri," he says, biting my neck softly over where he would bite when we mate. That drove me insane. Tenderly kissing it, he pulled away. He placed his hands on either side my face, making me looking him directly in his orbs. "But Garret is fighting me."
I grew confused. "But why, I-"
"This isn't the right way to mate with you," Garret says, his voicing coming back but Thadus pushing it back in. "If it is one thing this idiot knows, it's romance." He growled. "I won't take you now."
"Thadus," I moaned, knocking my head back at out of protest to him. "End this, please."
He growled louder, hearing me call him probably wasn't the best idea but I needed him in more ways than I had ever needed anyone. His hands came back to either side of my face, bringing me into him as our lips crashed together. If I thought fireworks went off the first time with Garret, I was sadly mistaken. This was bombs and rockets taking off- everything. And I needed more of it.
He released me all too soon and said-
"I'm sorry."
Then Garret's eyes turned back to their usual bluish-green and I knew he was in complete control. Meaning I wasn't going to get relieved of this until the moon was gone. I whimpered, beginning to fall and he instantly wrapped his arms around my body keeping me upright.
This was going to be a long night.
