"What is it? What is this... thing that is trying to hurt me?" I asked them.
"It's not all that clear," answered Venus.
"Well, how is she supposed to defeat this thing?" Malena asked.
We sat in this nothingness, at a round table: Malena, Jemma, Venus, Luna, and I. They had all come to me in a dream, and I had welcomed it. I was curious as to what all my dreams and feelings meant, not being able to understand it.
"She has to come to terms with that on her own," Luna answered.
"Wow..." Jemma began. "You weren't kidding Emmy, they really are vague. It's sickening."
"And you thought I was joking," I murmured to myself, knowing they heard me.
"What is the purpose of this if you're not doing anything to help her?" questioned Malena.
"It's all apart-"
"Of the prophecy," we all finished together.
Venus and Luna looked at each other. They looked torn. As if they wanted to tell me but they didn't know how or really what to say. I could tell that they couldn't make sense of a lot of what was going on but I knew they knew more than what they were letting on. They had to.
Feeling that this meeting was coming to an end, with no resolution in sight, I asked one last question.
"Wait a minute," I say before they began to fade. "Is this... does this thing... kill me? Is that when I have the choice of life or death?"
Venus and Luna look at each other one more time. Not saying anything.
And quickly, everything turned black.
~*~
I bolted out of my sleep, sitting up as I suddenly became awake.

I didn't feel any type of grogginess or feeling of being tired as I stared into the blackness of my room.
Even though I felt that the meeting was nothing to be worried about, my heart was racing. Because they never answered my question. Was I going to die? Was I going to be faced with the choice of choosing life or death?
But what scared me more about potentially dying and being faced with these choices was what I'd choose. It was easy to say now that I would choose life, having found my mate and a family that accepted me. But when faced with having to choose a side with my loved ones and another where my other loved ones were, I didn't know.
I felt a hand on my bare back and a tensed at the touch, scaring me slightly.
"Emmy," Garret said groggily. "Babe, what is it? Your heart is racing."
He quickly sat up through his grogginess and looked at me with tired eyes. But behind the tiredness, I saw how concerned he was. It was then that I realized I was crying. Tears fell down my cheek. I sniffed, trying to stop them but, for some reason, they wouldn't.
"Baby what's wrong?" he questioned. "Talk to me."
"I..." I sniffed. "I need to tell you something."
"What? What is it?"
"I should've told you earlier and I'm so sorry for not-"
I was interrupted by a knock. It was a constant, never ceasing, knock. Garret groaned out of frustration, getting out of the bed, stark naked. He quickly put on a pair of his sweatpants and I brought the sheet to cover my chest, turning my head away from the door. I wiped my tears as he opened the door.

"What?" he said rudely.
"Terribly sorry to interrupt," Bernie said quickly. "But uh-"
"What is it?" he quickly says.
"Emerald has a visitor, two rather," he finishes.
Who? I questioned in my head.
"Who?" Garret asks.
"Two women, they-"
"I'm coming!" I interrupt.
Feeling their aura, I hear Garret close the door. He turned around in confusion at this as I quickly got out of bed, walking nakedly to the dresser. I put on some underwear and one of his oversized shirts.
"Emmy," Garret said. "Are you going to tell me what's going on?"
"Soon, I promise," I respond quickly.
"Do you know who's here?"
"I have an idea," I say, spraying a random perfume on so I wouldn't smell of sex.
"What is going on?" he repeated, sitting on the bed, facing me.
Turning to him as I put my hair into a bun. "Listen, I will explain everything. I promise. I... I just need to go talk to them, figure some things out before I explain it all to you. I don't want all my confusion to scare and confuse you too. Let me just... figure it out. Okay?"
He looked like he was having an inner battle with himself. I could tell it was driving him crazy. But, quickly, his eyes held understanding and support. Just like that. My heart warmed at it, loving the fact that he was so understanding of it all. I couldn't believe how he was, how supportive he was to me.
"Alright," he said softly. "Hand me a shirt, let's go see what's going on."
Quickly turning and pulling a random shirt out from the drawer, I turn to hand it to him and met by his chest. He towered over me, looking down at me. I looked up him, licking my bottom lip and pulling it in between my teeth.
"No more secrets after this," I say lowly, staring me straight into my eyes.
"None," I say softly.
Waiting a minute before puckering my lips, he chuckled softly and put his lips on me.
Tearing apart before it led anywhere, I reluctantly pulled away, much to both of our dissatisfaction. He groaned as I quickly turned and headed out of the room. He followed me and down the stairs to the front door.
I was surprised I remembered the way but I believed I only did because of the pull of the two girls waiting for me in the foyer. Hearing me coming, they turn and smile when they see me. Finally seeing them, I slightly squeal out of excitement and joy. It felt like an eternity since I had seen them. Though I had seen Malena a couple of months ago, it still felt too long.
We joined in a hug and I finally felt some ease in all this mayhem that had taken place these past few days. I felt Jemma rub my back reassuringly, possibly feeling how distraught I was.
"I am so glad you guys are here," I mumble in the middle of our hug.
"We have so much to discuss," Malena said.
"You have so much explaining to do," Jemma finished as they pulled away.
"Okay," I say softly. "Let's talk in the library, I-"
"No," Garret interrupted. "I have a room for you."
