I see Garret through my icy blue eyes, Lillian being in complete control. He looked at me with alarm, worry being very clear through his entire body. When our eyes met, he sighed of relief, his body physically relaxing.
"Oh thank god," he said softly.
I didn't say anything, trying to recollect everything that happened but nothing came to my remembrance. All I remembered was the exchange of bloodlines and suddenly darkness. How I ended up here, I wasn't so sure.
When he finally calmed down, he seemed to hesitate with me. I scrunch my face in confusion and I move to speak but he beats me to it.
"Lillian?" he questions.
I grow even more confused as to why he was calling me by my wolf's name. I knew she was in control but I was still here. But, against my better judgment, I nod. Though, this time, it didn't feel the same. I look down, expecting to see my body with the white nightgown on that I had on for the ceremony. I mentally gasp when I see white paws instead of my hands. I hadn't seen them since my first shift, never knowing when I ever would again.
I look up at Garret, the shock possibly showing through. He places his hands on either side of my face, bringing his forehead against mine.
"You're okay," he says. "I know you don't know what's going on but I'm sure it'll be explained later. For right now, you're safe, with me and everyone else."
I feel my heart begin to slow down, processing his words completely. I was okay, I was safe. It didn't make sense, sure, but neither did the majority of my life. I close my eyes as we continue to press our foreheads together, enjoying each other's presence.

"You're so beautiful," he says softly, stroking my fur affectionately. "You didn't tell me you were a white wolf."
"I never thought you'd get to see it," I say to him through my mind.
He nods his head understandingly. "How do you feel?" he questions softly, still running his hands through my fur. He put me more at ease as I felt my body begin to relax.
"I feel good," I say, allowing the pack to continue to hear me. I suddenly got excited. "You wanna go for a run?"
Garret chuckles aloud and looked to the pack that howled in response. Getting even more excited, I mind link Garret independently. I'm excited to meet Thadus. I hear Thadus growl playfully at Lillian and me, accepting the invitation. The pack begins to run to the woods, Darrel and Adam leading the pack. Feeling the urge to follow but I stay to wait for Garret.
Seeing this, he motions his head in their direction.
"Go," he says simply.
"Are you sure?" I question back instantly. He chuckles again, nodding his head. "Find me when you're done."
Nodding his head, I follow the pack excitedly and ran with the other wolves. Feeling the ground underneath my four paws made me happier than I anticipated. Having been cooped up in the attic for nine years, and Lillian never being able to transform after the first time, I never thought I would be here. It felt amazing, I was at such ease now, as if nothing could touch me.
I picked up momentum as I passed the other wolves, them playfully bumping against me as I passed. Some howled here and there out of enjoyment, warming my heart that I got to enjoy this with them. For my first run with a pack of wolves, I was glad it was with my new family, my new pack, my new home.

I wasn't aware of how fast I ran but I got to a pretty big pond, stopping me in my tracks. I was breathing heavily, a big wolf grin on my face as I stared at the beautiful scenery before me. The moon shined on the lake, reflecting off it as it softly rippled from the breeze. It was so peaceful in this one spot, I felt so calm here.
I continued to take in the image in front of me before I felt a presence. I didn't have to look behind me to know who it was. His aura exuded such powerfulness that I was able to feel it without having to look at him. I only feel his presence instead of the hundred-plus wolves I was originally running alongside. We were alone.
I turn, slowly, as I anticipated seeing his wolf for the first time. I had never seen it before, never being around for when he needed his run. When my eyes finally met his red ones, I somewhat froze at the sight of him. His dark brown, almost black, coat shined slightly underneath the moon. His fur looked thick and soft as if you could run your fingers through it for hours. Thadus looks like an alpha, standing a good foot over everyone else, muscular, and demanding respect. I felt small compared to him but yet I felt protected as well under his stare as if nothing could hurt me.
He walked to me, slowly. Each step he took was calculated as if he was trying to stay in control of himself. Once he was in front of me, he stared at me, looking as if I wasn't real. I felt so drawn to him, loving him being close to me. He brought his face close to mine, I was able to hear him breathing. I feel the gap, running my face alongside his, affectionately embracing him.
The tingles I felt from the contact felt more intense than when we were in our human form. It overtook my entire body, somewhat making my whole body feel as if a surge of electricity waved through me.
"You're so beautiful," he says through the mind link.
I growled lowly, pressing my body softly against his. "I could say the same about you," I respond back. He brings his face back to mine, softly putting pressure on my neck as he affectionately rubbed against me.
We remained outside for what felt like hours, enjoying each other's company in our wolf form. We stayed up until the sun rose and we soon felt the exhaustion. Strolling back and seeing clothes laid out for us at the bottom of the stone steps, we transformed back into our human form and changed into our clothes.
Garret only dressing shorts came up to me as I placed my shirt over my head, not announcing himself as he soon picked me up in his arms and walked us up the stairs. I was too tired to fight and was thankful for him doing the heavy lifting.
Inside our room, we laid next to each other, his head on my chest, his weight slightly on top of me.
