REYNA
Saint didn't say a word to me after that. He just glared at me for a while before turning to look out at the view. His elbow was up on the space beside the window as I found him caressing his bottom lip.
Even though he was crueler than them all, so much to the point that the worst supervillain had absolutely nothing on him, he was stunning. Just like that night he made me drink, I took the time to drink in his pleasingly defined cheekbones, providing him a flawlessly chiseled jaw. His almond eyes were piercing blue with a mix of light brown spilling from the pupil. Even his nose was hand-crafted by God with how perfect it held his face together.
My gaze traveled down to his body and even though I had never seen it, I felt like I knew exactly what muscles were bulging underneath them. Sometimes, I could hear Saint working out as the weights slammed into each other. I could hear his grunts and groans, wondering how he'd sound if he was under me, or on top of me.
God, what's wrong with me?
I crossed my leg over the other to remind myself that I was nearing dangerous territory. He murdered his family for crying out loud. But that didn't stop the intrusive thoughts from entering my mind, assisted with my hormones.
No matter how many times I reminded myself that he found me unattractive, he was a bad man who doesn't date or marry... there was a pulsating need seeping deep in my loins.
He glanced over at me, giving me a view of those earthly eyes. His gaze fell on my legs leaving me to squeeze my thighs tighter together.
"Angel," Saint called. I raised a brow, noticing how hot the car quickly began to feel. I was almost prepared to roll down a window and stick my head out like a dog—anything to keep away from Saint's smoldering gaze.
"I can feel you staring at me like a bitch in heat, and I'm two seconds away from throwing you out of the car," he grumbled, turning back to the window.

I opened my mouth, ready to protest, but nothing came out. Instead, I sighed before settling for the view outside of the window just like he did.
My jaw almost dropped when I saw the very long yet slightly tall building. I gawked at the palace-like appeal of the structure. There was three vast water fountains perched in the lawn as warm light lit up the pathway directly into the building. People were stepping out of the limos, some were unaccompanied women and men who wore the classiest dresses and suits, others went as couples.
The car came to a stop once we were in the middle of the pathway. I anxiously watched the driver get out of the car before opening mu door for me. He held out his gloved hand to assist me out of the tall BMW.
"Thank you," I mumbled, glancing into the cool eyes of the driver once I had both of my feet on the floor. He gave a curt nod, closing the door, and going back to the drivers seat.
Saint appeared beside me. I practically jumped when his hand met the middle of my lower back. He had touched me so many times before, but only this time, his touch burned me so good.
He leaned down so his breath could fan my ears. "Remember what I told you."
If anyone talked to me, I walk away. If anyone touched me, I tell him.
After I nodded my head, we began to head into the building. The more closure we were to the entrance, the louder the classical music grew. As I stepped inside, I could feel the money flow all around me. I could just marvel in the fancy cars, expensive dresses, pristine jewelry, and people who sat around with friends to share a glass of tea. It was beyond anything I could ever imagine.
"Saint," Adriano greeted his boss. I peered over at him, noticing that he was healing up nicely after the beating Saint gave him a week ago.
"Is Giovanni set up?" Saint asked him to which Adriano nodded his head. "I need him monitoring every message. I better be immediately informed if anyone even mentions Reyna. I don't even care if it's to compliment her dress. And I'm telling you, Adriano, if I don't get a step closer to finding Viktor by the end of the night, I will fucking kill you."

I tensed at his words. However, Adriano remained unaffected. I could never understand how someone could look Saint in the eye, knowing all the wrongs he committed, and still never feel even an ounce of fear. Every single time I tried, I failed.
"I'll check on Giovanni now. By the way, sir, your wife is here," Adriano stated.
Wife?
Saint was married to someone and I didn't have a single clue. Everything I found out about him never suggested that he was a married man. He said it himself that he neither dated nor married.
Adriano walked away from us, heading out of the door we just entered. I followed him with my eyes as if he would turn around and explain what was going on. If Saint was married, no one in their right mind would believe I was Saint's date.
"Let's go," Saint declared.
He walked me toward a railing and as I peered over it, I could see the ball in full effect. Men and women were dancing, while there was a group of men off in a corner chatting, drinking, and smoking cigars—I felt as though that was more Saint's scene. Singles and couples talked amongst themselves at tables, and there were waiters dressed in gray suits as they held a tray of drinks and delectable appetizers for their guests.
I enjoyed the gold and white interior of the entire place, it was elegant just like the way I was dressed. I felt as though I belonged when I truly didn't. I wasn't rich, and I had no special title. There was no reason for my being here other than Santino Venturi.
On a table, I could see items being auctioned off for charity, but I knew that the alleged charity they were raising money for was only going to end up in the mobsters-of-the-nights' pockets.
The hand on the middle of my back moved ever so slightly so he could wrap his arm around my waist. The movement left me breathless. Control your hormones, he's a married man, and a monster.
Saint walked me down the stairs. I was thankful for his guidance because there were a few times when I felt like I was about to slip and fall.
Once we made it to the bottom, I was able to see the live orchestra, who played the most heavenly music. I eyed the violinists, remembering what I wanted to be before I adapted to the world of computers. Playing the violin once made me so happy, especially when I could look into the audience and see my cheering mother. A mother I missed with my whole heart that still yearned to play with her hair, and feels the breath of her whispers against my cheek, "you did amazing, Reyna."
"Saint!" a loud feminine voice chirped. I felt my heart drop at the sight of a petite woman with her blonde hair held back in a grand updo, making her way over to us.
Saint's arm gripped me tighter as his jaw clenched, something he only did when he was annoyed.
She must be his wife.
