Damon didn't know what he was expecting once they got back to the house. Maybe for Jun to toss him around and have his way with him. He certainly didn't expect that Jun would actually, seriously, sit down to study the little informational packet they'd been given, Damon firmly snuggled into his lap.

Jun's long arms wrapped around Damon to hold the packet open so they could both read it.

Okay, so...they were really just going to read together? That was fine, but Damon had to admit that part of him was just slightly disappointed. Not for any particular reason.

Well, except the particular reason, which was that Damon wanted to know what sex with Jun was like outside of heat. Not that he thought he would be disappointed by it – but it would just reaffirm that miniscule part of Damon that was just the tiniest bit afraid that Jun's attraction to him was only induced by heat.

He knew that wasn't true, logically. Jun didn't switch packs for him while finding him completely unattractive – he knew that.

But knowing something to be true didn't necessarily make a difference to Damon's insecurities.

Jun had flipped through the packet haphazardly while they were walking back. Damon had a general idea of the kind of content that they would put in there but hadn't read any of it himself. It was probably mostly a very dry account of all the risks and benefits of helping an alpha in heat, along with some of the things to do in case of emergencies and stuff like that. Surprisingly, once Jun had them both settled on the couch, he flipped straight to a specific page of the packet. Damon felt the rumble of Jun's purr against his back before he even registered the title at the top of the page, and knew he was up to no good.

Damon gulped. Out of the entire packet, this was probably the only section that had anything to do with the actual sex part of being an alpha's heat partner. So of course, Jun would hone in on it like a bee looking for pollen and very seriously pretend to study it with Damon.

This section was clearly mostly for the alpha's partner to pay attention to. Alphas didn't have much presence of mind to handle themselves or others while in heat, so figuring out how to make them feel good during sex, and how to keep them stable when not having sex, was something of a trial for the other partner. This part of the packet was most likely intended to give inexperienced partners some idea of what they should do.

And though it was written very technically, not a hint of eroticism to be found, something about being pressed up against Jun and knowing he was reading it alongside Damon made the experience a little more intense than it would normally be.

Alright. Off to a bad start already. Damon kept reading, willing the heat in his cheeks away.

A. Preparation

1. The most important step in engaging in intercourse with an alpha partner is to make sure you are prepared. Preparation can include ensuring that the necessary supplies are on hand. For example, condoms, lubricant (for non-omega partners), sex toys (see section 2b), dry towels, wet wipes, and drinking water. Another necessary step for preparation includes talking with your alpha partner about the following:

a. Risks of pregnancy (see page 2)

b. Potential need for tranquilizers should the alpha partner get out of hand (see page 6)

c. Potential for injury (see page 7)

All of this was stuff Damon already knew (except the sex toys part. He wasn't sure why they would make a section about that, and prayed that Jun would forget all about section 2b).

B. Pleasure

1. During a heat, it is of vital importance that both partners feel pleasured satisfactorily. A partnership in which one party receives pleasure while the other does not can quickly become unbearable for the non-pleasured partner, leading them to abandon the other partner, or become trapped in an unwanted situation. Typically, alphas in heat feel pleasure very easily, so it is more often the other partner that ends up unsatisfied. It is important to discuss sexual compatibility prior to heat engagements. To ensure that both partners are satisfied sexually, follow the suggestions below:

a. Before the onset of preheat, it may be a good idea to engage in intercourse with the desired partner. This will help to better understand rate of compatibility.

b. Discuss sexual likes and dislikes. It is important to be honest with your partner, to ensure that neither party feels neglected, uncomfortable, or agitated in the arrangement.

2. This section is for the non-alpha partner, specifically. Should it happen that you feel unsatisfied with the sexual aspect of the heat agreement, do not worry. Because alphas in heat are less able to control themselves, it often happens that the non-alpha partner feels unsatisfied in some way. This is fairly common. It is important to understand that if your alpha partner cannot satisfy you, pleasuring yourself is alright. An alpha in heat is often a very different sexual partner in heat than they are out of heat.

At the end of this section, Damon felt Jun's free hand moving to caress his hip and shivered. He didn't think much of this was important for them. It had already been proven twice that Jun fucked very well in heat – Damon felt more pleasure than he was really able to handle. Damon was about to continue on to the next section when he felt Jun's lips brush his ear.

"You can pleasure yourself," he said, a hint of a smile in his voice. "But I doubt you'll need to. And if you do, I get to watch."

Something – something scalding sank in Damon's lower abdomen. Something about the teasing tone and the fact that Jun was giving him permission was – weird.

Hot, Other Damon disagreed, not weird.

Oh, good. He's back. Damon should have known Other Damon couldn't resist this sort of situation.

A. Enforcing Limits

1. Alphas have high stamina in and out of heat. Their refractory period is also shortened by half. In combination, this can lead to a seemingly inexhaustible alpha, and a partner without the energy to fully satisfy them. It can be hard or impossible to reason with an alpha during heat, let alone one in the midst of intercourse. Therefore, it is exceptionally important for the non-alpha partner to know their own limits and know what to do should the alpha partner not want to stop. In this case, there are two possible options:

a. Physically restrain the alpha. Many partners will not be strong enough to do this on their own. This is where tranquilizers, ropes, and handcuffs (see section 2b) can be useful. However, you should always be sure to discuss the use of restrictive devices beforehand.

b. Use pheromones. This option is easiest for omega partners. While difficult, an omega has some control over their scent, and may be able to calm the alpha using their pheromones. Should the omega partner be in distress over the alpha's unwillingness to stop, their scent may naturally snap the alpha back to awareness.

2. Should it come down to it, also be aware that the local betas assigned to check on you and your alpha partner are an available resource. Should you need it, they can arrive at your location within moments.

B. Sex Toys

Oh, no, Damon thought. How obvious would it be if I said I needed to go to the bathroom right now? As if hearing this thought, Jun's hand tightened on Damon's hip, and his index finger even slid under the waistband of his pants, warm against Damon's skin. He shivered.

1. Some sex toys may be helpful in manipulating the alpha partner without using force or causing either partner to be in distress. For example, as mentioned above, rope and handcuffs (should the alpha partner be okay with using them) can be helpful in restraining the alpha, while also bringing them pleasure. Other toys, such as a fleshlight, can be used to briefly give the non-alpha partner a break.

2. Should the non-alpha partner be unsatisfied with the intercourse, using vibrators or dildos may also come in handy.

Dear god, Damon thought, completely scandalized. Why...why is this even a section? Damon's face felt hot, and Jun's finger against the skin of his hip was burning like an iron brand. He focused very hard on not squirming on Jun's lap, all too aware of the fact that Jun had been hard for a while, and Damon was very much soaking through his underwear.

It was probably time to use that bathroom excuse. However, before Damon could manage to get the words out, Jun leaned forward again, until Damon could feel Jun's heartbeat – steady, strong, and just a little faster than normal – pounding into his back.

"Interesting," Jun murmured. "Very interesting."

Damon gulped.
