"You can erase someone from your mind but getting them out of your heart is another story."

my knuckles as I began stretching my limbs. My desk was messy. There were papers scattered here and there, folders stacked above one another and ink bottles for stamp pads lay open.
"Ah, there are so much to do." I exclaim, rubbing my temples before defeatedly resting my head on the table. I glance at the paperwork pilled on my desk. I mentally let out a groan, sighing as I took my last cup of coffee.
Sponsorships, Interns and Collaborations...
I sigh once more. As the CEO of our company, I have a lot of work to do. Including social gatherings, mounds of paperwork to sign or acknowledge, and sometimes when things would pile up into an entire mass of things to clear up, I would take scarce hours of sleep. Which is tiring.
Maybe going some place to unwind is necessary at a moment like this, I thought. But realization hit me like a bus when I turned to my table. It was complete chaos, leaving me to contemplate. Should I head to Starbars or should I just stay here..?
To stay here or go..
Stay or go....
I continue to procrastinate as I fiddle with my pen. Shawn is so lucky...he doesn't have to deal with THAT much paper work. I thought to myself. "So, what are you up to now?" I jolt up in surprise as a small squeak unconsciously slipped my lips.
I turned to see the cause of my fright: Shawn. Speaking of the devil, Satan appeared. Kidding.
I sigh, dropping my pen. "Something productive I hope." I mutter as I slumped on the table. "Aw, is our little Maddie in distress? " He asks in a mocks, pouting his lips as if cooing to a sulking child. He smiles widely, eyes glittering with so much energy.

I glare at him as I stand up. "I'm not small! That's just offensive." I scoff, crossing my arms. "Sure, whatever floats your boat." He snickers, mimicking my actions as well.
I don't need another problem to deal with to be honest. Shawn continues to mimic me, now playfully glaring at me.
I placed my hands on my hips. "I need my frappe! So if you don't need anything else, please leave." I point at the door. He blinks in surprise. Then, he starts laughing. "Then, may I assist you then?" He says. He holds out a hand and winks. Hell no.
I can't say that though since that would be very rude. And I am not rude.
"Nah, I am good." I answer. "See ya Shawn!"
I close the door and peeked at the window. He looks flustered and his cheeks were tinted pink. I laugh quietly and headed out. Maddie one, Shawn zero. The cool September breeze whooshes through my hair.
The trees were painted orange and gold . Some leaves fall down slowly, gently landing on the ground. I tug on my coat. I opened my phone to check today's weather. My eyes immediately widen. Eighteen degrees celsius? I wish I wore my super comfy sweater.
Don't worry Maddie! It'll be worth it.
Soon, I arrived. The warmth of the coffee shop immediately thawed my frozen fingers. I sigh in relief. Since it was still very early, there weren't that much people in line. Yes! I can get my order faster. I got in line, looking around.
It was very cosy. There were sofas assigned to each table and small dainty cups lined the counters. The place was aesthetically pleasing. I liked the plants and small flower pots the most though. I feel my phone vibrate as I turned it on.

Capella: Hey Valery and I are here!
I look around.
'Where?' I type down.
Capella: At table three, silly!
I glance and see Capella and Valery waving at me. I smile and waved back.
'I will just buy my frappe.' I type.
Capella: Okay;3
Soon, it was my turn to order. "Hi, can I order a chocolate chip frappe?" I place 3 dollars on the counter. It was quite cheap for a frappe to be honest. The cashier smiles at me warmly.
"Okay then." She says. She scribbles my order on a slip and hands me the change. She hands me a paper with the number 11 on it and attends to the next customer.
I walk over to Capella and Valery. Capella has auburn hair and brown eyes while Valery has black hair and hazel eyes.
"Hi!" Capella smiles. "Hello!" I greet. Valery looks up from the book she was reading and smiles at me.
"Hey guys! What's up ya'll!" I hear a voice shout. I see Leah plop next to me. People were looking but Leah didn't seem to mind.
"What happened to your hair?" Capella asks, pointing at Leah's brown hair. "Oh uh...I was in a hurry." She mumbles, hand combing her hair. I laugh. "Typical Leah." Valery says, laughing to herself. I hear the barista call my name. "Oh sorry. Gotta get my order!" I say. I see Leah stand up too. We both walk to the counter to claim our drinks. I take my frappe, mumbling a thank you.
"I will go ahead okay?" "Sure." Leah nods. I walk as I sip my drink. Suddenly, I bumped into someone. My drink spills on the floor and I fall down. My butt hits the ground with a loud thump.
"My frappe!" I exclaim, looking at the spilled contents of my drink. I internally panic and actually debated whether to tell the person off right there and there.
"You piece of buttered banana! Do you know how much I needed that? I am freaking stressed with all the loads of internships and stuff and you bump into me all casual? That's freaking annoying!" I rant loudly.
I look up to the person. His eyes widen and his mouth formed an 'o' shape. "Oh, I am so sorry miss." He says, reaching out a hand. A familiar looking ring was hung on this stranger's neck. It looked oddly familiar.
That's when it hit me. It was now my turn to widen my eyes. I swear my eyes could have been the size of saucers. He tilts his head to the side slightly. He was obviously confused.
"R-ren?"
