"Three words. Food is life."
-Maddie-
"And I am done!" I hear Capella exclaim as she finished unpacking. I will be staying in the same room as Capella's while Leah will be staying with Valery. "Me too!" I say as I flop on the bed.
"So, when are we grabbing dinner?" Capella asks. I flashed her a huge grin.
Soon, we were standing outside the other two's door.
"Hurry up, Leah!" I can hear Valery shout. "Geez, wait. Can't you be patient?" Leah mutters. "Nope, sorry." Valery answers back. "It's gonna take another five minutes again." Capella sighs.
We hear shuffling then the door knob clicks. "Sorry.." Leah mutters sheepishly as she fiddles with the end of her scarf. "You better be! My stomach was dying." Capella smiles, rolling her eyes playfully. We laugh at Leah as she tries to explain her situation.
We exited the hotel and headed towards the main street of myeong dong. The breath taking view of the place amazed us. There were several make up shops and clothing stores too. Shoe shops were scattered here and there as well.
Then, the most awaited one was..
"Food!" We squeal altogether like children. The long line of street food stood right in front of us.
"Woah.." Valery says, her eyes glistening. "Am I in heaven?" Leah squeals. We stood there for a while, admiring the chefs as they cook their dishes.
"Uh, guys?" Capella asks us as she waves her hand in front of our faces. "The food's not gonna go to our stomach's itself." "You're right my dear friend." I smile, placing my hands on my hips.
"Oh no, not again." Capella says, face palming. "WE SHALL BATTLE THE INFINITE SEAS OF DRINKS AND SAUCE TOGETHER. WE SHALL FIGHT THE FOOD MONSTERS, ONE BY ONE TILL NO ONE IS LEFT! WE CAN DO IT!!" Leah and I say in unison. We both giggle and exchanged high fives.

"C'mon! Let's just go." Valery grins, widely as she tugs on my arm. "People are staring..." We began to look around.
"Ooh! Look at that!" Leah says, pointing at the stall selling spicy rice cakes and fish cakes. We hurried over and bought some. After a while, the store owner smiles and hands us our food. "Oh, that tastes amazing." I smile taking a bite. "A bit spicy though." Capella comments, fanning her mouth. "It's called spicy rice cakes for a reason." Valery retorted. We all laugh.
Next, we went to the food stall selling veggie pancakes. "Wow! That smells good!" Valery smiles as she clasps her hands together. "Oh. Thank you dearie." The stall owner says in broken english. "How many would you like?" "Auntie, we'd like four plates please." Capella smiles, handing her the money.
The stall owner shakes her head. "It's alright. Pay me half the price. I don't usually see that much foreigners." She smiles. "No, I insist auntie." Capella says, as she gives the shop owner the money. "Oh, you are too kind." The stall owner smiles as she takes the money.
"Look at the potato twisters here!" Leah smiles widely. "The octopus skewers are good too!" Capella says, taking another bite. "But not as good as my potato twisters." Leah says as she sticks her tongue out.
After a few rounds of buying food, we started to head to the hotel. "Tell me why am I carrying these bags again?" Leah says, tired. "Cuz most of them are yours." Valery states as she playfully rolls her eyes.
When we got to the room, we placed down our bags and began to eat. "Woah, this is so so good. You gotta try it." I exclaim taking a forkful of glass noodles. We all took turns tasting every dish.

"Wow, it does." Capella muses as she swallows. "They are so yummy!" Leah squeals, taking more bites of the fishcakes. "Don't talk with your mouth full." Valery scolds Leah. "Sorry~" Leah sheepishly smiles.
Once we finished, we began to clean up. "So did you guys enjoy?" I ask as I throw away the plates. "Yup! It's amazing here." Valery smiles. "I agree." Capella says, giving me a thumbs up.
"It's so pretty here." Capella adds. "I know right?" I sigh in happiness. "It's so cool." "I can't wait for tomorrow." Valery grins.
"Uh guys?" I hear Leah squeak. We all turn to her.
She laughs nervously. We all stare at her in confusion as she makes weird gestures. Then, she takes a deep breath.
"I know this is really awkward and totally out of the blue but.." She trails of fiddling with the hem of her shirt. "But what?" Valery asks, cocking her head to the side.
Leah looks at us and smiles shyly.
"I am still kinda hungry."
